Bitcoin will always be #1 because its the first crypto-currency that truly revolutionize how online payment platform should be. Anon, fast(?)de-centralized and now going global. Japan has proven it by getting it legal in their country so its going be mass adopted by other countries as well. No other alt-coins can matched bitcoin popularity.
Not always though, bitcoin do not change its transaction or confirming speed, would be taken over by other crypto currency with good transactions. Ethereum is a candidate though, but I think it will take years before it happen. And isn't bitcoin "global" when it was used evwn in the past? And if bitcoin will be uaed by many countries, I know that they will be also making some decisions like using another alternative currency. |

to me i think bitcoin will always remain as number one crypto currency because the users of bitcoin are increasing continuously, i do not think that there is any other crypto currency which can compete with bitcoin. |

No other name will be as good.
I guess the reason why Bitcoin always number one in crypto world, it is because of the features it has, such as easy to use and very convenient, and when it comes to security it is also safe, then if you want to send money you can do send in any places of the world, and lastly the most I like was bitcoin decentralization where none of the private sectors in the government has no power to control it neither rules to deduct us any taxes. |

Have to admit that "Monero" has a good ring to it as well. But the point is that everyone knows about bitcoin, and if you walk onto the streets and ask someone about what they know about cryptocurrencies, they're probably going to talk about bitcoin instead of any other altcoin. It's the first coin. That's what makes it #1. |

to me i think bitcoin will always remain as number one crypto currency because the users of bitcoin are increasing continuously, i do not think that there is any other crypto currency which can compete with bitcoin. Also the marketcap of bitcoin is increasing and that is making it to be the number #1 in the crypto currency scene. There will be new crypto's and aspiring one that are going to come out but the reality of it, they will never have a chance to make bitcoin out of it's current place which is the number one spot |

Bit is like somethinh that corelate with computer and coin is corelated with money. So I agree with you are. A majority of Bitcoin's popularity comes down to it being "first", per say, along with it being the most valuable crypto that everyone seems to want to get their hands on. Most other cryptos have a much smaller dedicated community and they are less likely to put money into it. Another big advantage Bitcoin has is that it was actually talked about on the news, and pretty prominently. That got a lot of people hooked on the name early. |

The name are only recognize after the fact that it is useful to us, even if bitcoin was name just like you real name it will still become popular. Well the reasons behind of bitcoin to be always number one because of it's profitable ability to make people be always comfortable on what they are earning, and specially on the fast transactions that they had all the time. Bitcoin was an anonymous type of money that has conquered beyond the world's currency market and even trading of altcoin depends on the btc price exchange, that always have higher profit of btc marketplace. So we are now at the progressive stage of digital currency, and surely price will be much expensive in the future.

I think bitcoin always on top because of the features ut has that are very useful for the bitcoin holders, especially in money transfer, aside from very fast transaction, the charge percentage was cheap also it is very safe and secured too, and most importantly to all is the decentralization of bitcoin. There are crypto which have better features than bitcoin but still bitcoin price is high. Bitcoin has advantage of being the first crypto coin and that is the reason of it's popularity and high price. |

Virtual currencies are based either on fiats such as the United States Dollar or the Great Britain Pound, or on bullion metals such as gold and platinum. They are different from the crypto-currencies. There were many virtual currencies before 2009. But Bitcoin is the first crypto-currency (Wikipedia supports my argument). And it is not just popular because it is the first of its kind. Most of the altcoins are just copycats of the original. So people tend to give preference to Bitcoin. |

There so many rial fiat investments in bitcoin, that it is hard to imagine that any other crypto currency could take it's place. And most cryptocurrency exchange markets use bitcoin as as stable basis for trading.
