There are only a few possible reasons why Bitcoin will be #1

1. It is the defacto and the founder which gives it intrinsic value.
2. It is the most popular and will just continue to be that way.

It is insane to see why a coin that is flawed as much as Bitcoin be as popular because its a founding coin.

I don’t see why you think it is insane for this to happen, even if we admit there are some problems with bitcoin, just look at the music industry, have you heard the garbage they are producing, the music is very bad or look at Hollywood and the horrible movies and yet, they are making a lot of money and its popular, so what you are describing happens everywhere not only in bitcoin.

Being number one in the market may cause by many aspect. Bitcoin set the name of the very first crypto currency to build a foundation. So it serve as a first choice for people if they want to used or to transact through web. And for me it's the best reason for bitcoin to be number one in market.
