The reason the bitcoin will always be #1 is because it is the first innovative one, and also because it is the most adopted one that many services and businesses already using it.

Yes, bitcoin is very innovative and continue to improve over time. Aside from having a good name, bitcoin is the pioneer in cryptocurrency and many alcoins was created on this platform. As bitcoin innovate over time, issues are also addressed which makes bitcoin the number  1.

Yes, call be bias but I think, bitcoin is the best name that a crypto currency can have for it. 

Alternatively, I see a comparatively huge userbase, a strong community and deep core values for the popularity of the bitcoin. Yes we might see some popular alt coins but I don't think that any of those coins can reach the levels of bitcoin in terms of popularity and core values.

Bitcoin may be the number one cryptocurrency today but soon it may lose its hold in the market. Fiat currency may take its place if people will patronize banks digital currency rather than bitcoin. So the best thing to do right now is fast track the promotion of bitcoin so when the fiat digital currency starts to roll bitcoin is strong enough to survive.

To think that bitcoin is on the first place just cause of it's name is a crap. Bitcoin was the first crypto currency and others just try to repeat it's success. I think bitcoin will be on the first position for a loon gime and all this copies will not survive for so long.

Even if you're having a company which has an ugly name but if you're really good on branding and then make the name of your company popular then people will automatically know it and think that the company's name is really good. It's just how the popularity works because of advertising and many factors that can make people always remember the name.
