I have Armory installed, but it wants to stop my core from running and thats what I am using on the p2pool service.... What is the appropriate thing to do?
Don't run your Armory wallet on the same machine as p2pool There is a setting somewhere in Armory for it to use a running copy of Bitcoin Core instead of trying to run it's own copy Thanks... but I found that setting and it seems to be updating itself with my p2pool bitcore..... I will see how it all reacts... So far all is running fine and I am at 65% wallet updated..... Ok will see what I can do..... thanks again...

That's how it works when there's more hashrate. The share difficulty goes up, so the number of shares you get will go down. That will affect your payout. However the pool should get more blocks, so it should even out. (Share difficulty is currently at 3.1 million, the highest I've ever seen it.) M

M Yeah, one of the downside of p2pool hashrate going up but it should even out as m says with more blocks found. there were two just in the last 12-24 hours.

Thanks, Norgs, your antminer tweaking tips, I have set up pseudo share as you have them there but not really seeing any difference to what I previously had. It has only been running for 16 hours since I did it.
What results were you getting with them?

The pseudo shares are only applicable if you have other miners on your node and they seem to just smooth out the graphs a bit too.

Don't use p2pool.org. There are lots of better and free alternatives. Post your location, I'm sure there's someone here with a node local to you. M

it's too bad, I think that guy actually believes 17% is wasted work and he actually thinks there is a 2% fee

it's too bad, I think that guy actually believes 17% is wasted work and he actually thinks there is a 2% fee the pool average is 11.8%.. so 5% is wasted. I didn't check, but it wouldn't surprise me if p2pool.org does have a 2% fee. M

which goes back to Mike Hearn's post - people don't know how p2pool works so they'll just say "11.8% is wasted, lolz, [insert pool name here] is so much better and they charge a lower fee than p2pool charges" and they think p2pool.org is "The P2Pool" (which is the equivalent to saying MtGox is bitcoin).

What's also unfortunate is that people automatically assume that node is "the" p2pool node - like whonesta claiming that all p2pool is bad because one node charges 2%.

How can I look up my hashrate quickly and easily for a specific worker? I see my payout address listed on all the p2pool nodes (i.e. http://107.170.116.123:9332/static/ under Payouts if a block were found NOW) Is there a json api or some URL i could bookmark that would quickly give me my hashrate? I want to implement some sort of warning system to alert me if my workers die. If someone knows how to do this, that would be most appreciated
