There is always a risk in every investment but if you're going to compare before and now, the risk isn't that much compared before. The profit is guaranteed If you want to make a profit by an investment so you must have to take a risk in Bitcoin, there are also some risks regarding saving and investment.
actually not all investors are losing money, but No wonder investors in Bitcoin can lose money at any time. because Bitcoin is not regulated by the central bank. Investors may face extreme instability. There are risks that can pose considerable harm to the entire investment, We can not accurately estimate the Bitcoin price from year to year. Because money is on the internet.
"Governments are good at cutting off the heads of a centrally controlled networks like Napster, but pure P2P networks like Gnutella and Tor seem to be holding their own." -- Satoshi

I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

My opinion, the small amount of risk depends on how you enter the capital. If your capital big risk will be big and the profits will also be great. But on the contrary, if your capital is small the risk will be small and profit too little. I remind you, if you want to buy bitcoin to be used as an investment material, you should buy bitcoin when the price is down and sell it if bitcoin price rises high.

In what field of activity now no risk? absolutely everywhere there is a risk. The same taxi driver drives all day risks the same doctor every day at risk, and you are asking about Bitcoin.
To succeed you need the whole life to take risks and make contributions, and that there are no miracles.

In every step and action there is a risk, as well as an investment with bitcoin, but I feel the risks will be appropriate and worthy of what will be received thereafter. so big or small risk deserves to be accepted.

There's a risk in Bitcoin but I cannot say if it is low risk or high risk. It can be in the middle too, not high and not low. It will be depends on how smart you are in terms of investing.

there is no fool proof answer to this question. it is all speculation.
the risks are there but in my opinion price going down in long term has a  very small chance. but in short term because of some stuff that are going on can go down but i won't last long.

but there is another risk that people usually forget, when you are using bitcoin you are in charge of keeping your private keys (your wallet) safe. and if you fail to do that, you will lose your money. this risk is easily manageable though, since you can learn how to make a safe wallet (read about cold storage) and never worry about this risk.

Definitely. That is the reason why btc has its own risk but if we are careful on how to save or private key, we never to worry about this. We have to be careful on doing this.

I agree with Herbert2020. It would be a smart move to invest your money by converting them to Bitcoins as it allows growth in a short amount of time compared to orher investment ventures. However, you should take note of how much you are willing to invest as even though the rates are projected to continually increase, its flactuations can continue to be constant and unpredictable; but this is temporary. You should only risk what you're willing to lose.

With regards to just storing them, you should take high precautionary measures. You may think your wallet is highly secured but with all the advancement in programming right now, it can be taken away from you at an instant. You should be extra vigilant for the time being of your investment.

An investment without risk is not worth calling it an investment and if you ask how much risk is in bitcoin well there isn't one answer to this question but crypto investing has become the order of the day.

I think all investments have risks, but if I choose investments in bitcoin I think the risk is less than the investment in altcoin, because bitcoin is already using it, so I choose bitcoin as an investment and my savings in the future

There is always risk if someone invest in bitcoin because we can't predict government nature about bitcoin. As bitcoin price is rising government can take action against it anytime so that is one risk.
Another risk is it may be incurred huge loss if price drop but there would be less chance to fall price so second risk has less probability as compared to 1st risk.

A lot of risk. Any investment is a risk and should be researched and gone about carefully... That's not to say some investments are riskier than others.

In each investment there are risks. This is a sphere in which you can get rich quickly and lose everything at once. Therefore, you should always remember about the diversification of risks.

Bitcoin is a high risk high profit investment and everyone should aware about it before they started to make their feets wet. The price is very volatile. It can up and down quickly. But bitcoin is the better investment than any other similar investment out there.

Sometimes, something that gives a profit in quick time, gives the same risk. whether it's small or big, it all depends on your actions. if you always pay attention to the price, you might be able to minimize the risk.

How much risk in bitcoin investment I think we can't calculate it, if you don't try you wouldn't know how risky the investment is. but I can totally say that it is so risky the way you invest your money you don't know if it can't back to you or give you a big return.
