Actually there is not much risk if you start investing not just rely on money, do not forget to require good analysis and accuracy in observing the movement of bitcoin, not to mention bitcoin always up and down requires extra patience in making the decision to sell. Or buy bitcoin. So it's not a risk that causes danger but your patience is decisive

There are too many risks, please consider the segwit and split one into this. We can never neglect this split situation. This is the biggest short term risk for bitcoin.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

There are many risks when we hold bitcoin because until now there is no country that guarantees the use of bitcoin officially, they still make the legal currency as the main payment so that the risk of holding bitcoin is very big, even the experienced always got profit.

I don't think, that buying 3-4 Btc may hurt you in a long perspective. Surelly buying bitcoin involve some risks, and it may possibly go down in future, like it happened month ago. But it keeps growing again.

Question is, if you can use these 3-4 BTC for short-term investments. But for people who doesn't have time or knowledge, buy BTC is the best choice, I think.

i strongly believe bitcoin will bounce back and keep growing but investing in a crypto-currency in the first place is taking risk so just be firm and have hope. with the wallet i also believe the wave lite client wallet is very good you might want to try it
Most of the alt coin markets who are alive today might not be here in a few years and so it is a risky proposition to invest in those coins, but bitcoin is a safe bet but even then there are risks involved in every form of investment,so follow the news and act wisely if you want to make some profit.

I guess the risk is still there, and you have to admit it. Each investment must have risks, because if people only know that it will end in big profits, then there will be no doubt about it. But for now, maybe investing in bitcoin is a bit risky, but maybe after August it's done, everything will be fine.
bitcoin is really an amazing currency and the future of bitcoin is very bright that it can take you high to the heaven of success it is now being use to increase the amount and to put some good into your investment so bitcoin is good and better than any other currency to invest in it . In bitcoin you will not be worry about the loss of your investment you will surely get good profit here.

It is generally a good option, but with the scaling news and the speculation that is going around,it is good to wait for some time before investing in it as news are coming out about a split in the network,so i would wait for some time before investing again.

There is always a risk in every investment you make however you will used your intelligent and strategy to avoid any risk including scam and lose of all your profit, you should study investment very well to know how to do the perfect timing in buying and selling.
There’s no business in the whole world that does not involve risk. Only risk takers have greater chances of succeeding in life but that does not mean take risk without proper reason/logic. Do proper investigation before taking any risk and same is the case with bitcoins.

Basically we don't know the risk in every site if you invest money in a site first is you don't know if the site was trusted there are site that can give you small profit but many site are just scamming people who invested.
I think, bitcoin is like stock, both are risky. But I believe in Bitcoin, maybe now people see the price of bitcoin dropping and a little worried. Be calm and wait.

I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
For me there is no risk in bitcoin investment because I am sure that I will gain a lot of profit if I invest my money to the bitcoin. Many people are afraid to invest their money to the bitcoin because they thought that they will lose their money.

How much risk in bitcoin investement ?

It depends upon the condition of the bitcoin market.
There are a lot of bitcoin earning schemes in the internet today. The problem really is where to start and where to invest.
When I started studying about bitcoin, it was only sold for $297.94. Today the price is almost 10 times to when I started to know about Bitcoin. Who knows what the price will be two years from now.

Each and every trade got a risk factor. But I think the bitcoin is still a new concept to some parts of the world. That is, it has a room for growing. So you can always expect a good return. But it can go down in price for a short term of period. If you can control that panic situation then you will get a good profit.

Everything got its own risk, its hard for me to say this but i think btc is more volatile than any other markets since there is lack of information and education, if u ask maybe its 1:50 ratio, 50 people heard of btc but they didnt know what is that and its function, and talks about wallet security... I dont think you should invest a lot on something u didnt understand about it yet,
Perhaps educate ourselves 1st before trying to put both feet in the water  Grin Grin

When trading is considered to be a part of the investment then the risk involved is quiet high as well gives bigger profit based on the users knowledge base in trading. Secondly every form of investment has got risks, with bitcoin the risk is little high which is due to the fluctuating nature as well very few trusted platforms are available for investment.

Of your bitcoin investment, basically the risk on every site if investing bitcoin, you will know whether the site is good to be trusted, what only gives a small profit but many nowadays the sites are deceiving people.

I prefer doing a small risk, small profit rather than high risk, high profit. Anyway, trading on the other hand is risky but with enough knowledge to deal with the risks and lowering it can bring you a lot of profit. It requires your time and effort to become good at it since if you trade without learning essential things to lesses the risks then most likely you will lose Bitcoins rather than profit from it.

Even if you have your funds in the cold storage or hardware wallet, there is a risk in that case too. However, investing further extends the level of risk and it differs from investment to investment and thus there is no guaranteed assurance in any case, especially when it comes to the investments using crypto currencies. However, on the other hand, the returns are much higher when there is a high risk so it's not always a bad move to give it a shot.

Investing of any sort always has its risks and investing in bitcoin will not be an exception to that. It will always be prediction and speculation whether the price of bitcoin will go down or increase but by far throughout the history of bitcoin it has always find a way for the value to increase and it is still steadily increasing so I think bitcoin is a really good investment despite the risk.
