How much risk in bitcoin investement ?

I just wanted to know that,what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit.But i want to know what is the risk involved.Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

If you prefer to risk investing then go for it. Many people risking there money for investing just to get higher earnings but if they failed and get scammed, huh there will be no chances to get back what they lost from investing.

Everything got its own risk, its hard for me to say this but i think btc is more volatile than any other markets since there is lack of information and education, if u ask maybe its 1:50 ratio, 50 people heard of btc but they didnt know what is that and its function, and talks about wallet security... I dont think you should invest a lot on something u didnt understand about it yet,
Perhaps educate ourselves 1st before trying to put both feet in the water 

It is reality that no one is well known about btc and many predict about btc that it might not be not be harmful their business but I don’t think so, because like bitcoin btc will also introduce himself in the market in positive sense like bitcoin.

Usually I don’t feel any risk in bitcoin investment, whether it may be in shape of bitcoin or in shape of btc. I hope both will be beneficial.

The risk will depend on the amount of time you are planning to hold, if you want to trade everyday then the risk is high but if you want to hold for years then the risk of losing money is almost zero, bitcoin only does one thing if you hold for a long time and that is to give you profits.

There is not much risk if you go with short term investment. You can buy bitcoins now and then sell them immediately when the price goes up. Based on the growth rate of bitcoin right now, I would say that there isn't much risk too in long term investment. You could profit after a few years of storing your bitcoin in a safe wallet. Unfortunately, the best time to buy bitcoin had already passed after August 1 when the price was low.
