There is a high risk, due to the nature of bitcoin being volatile, you can get a great appreciation of your coin as well as depreciation, you need to study how it works and how its value is incresong from time to time, however if you are not a risl taker, might as well save your money and don't invest in bitcoins. Always keep in mind that every invesment there is a risk, be i investments with the government or bitcoins, never forget to make a strategy so that the risk will be lesen and for you to have peace of mind on your investments.

Bitcoin investment for me has the lower risk compare to other investments. It has higher chance of giving you good return..as we can see the value continue to appreciate even it is unpredictable and very volatile still after some future time it proves that investing on it will surely gives good harvest I heard a lot of good story from bitcoin investors and for me if there is risk on bitcoin it's only range to 20%...

You are completely safe with bitcoin investment as long as you are not gambling it and trading it in the market. Gambling is mist risky business, it has more returns but highest risk. With trading comes lot of patience and luck factors to overcome the returns, mostly in trading we end up loosing. It's high risk too.
But, apart from this you have chosen to invest and save the bitcoin for long period of time. I'm pretty sure that this is the only safest way to grow your bitcoin. So yeah keep them there at least for next few years to see remarkable returns in wallet.

basically, Bitcoin is the profitable platform which is getting popular across the world. people are getting financially benefitted from Bitcoin. though sometimes we face volatility of its price. it is natural because every currency should face the ups and down. so that type of risk should be taken.

i agree mate if people only accept that risk always followed when you are doing investment then bitcoin is little risky since volatility is always present and fluctuations are really good to catch up, and if you are long term holder then bitcoin can bring a much greater outcome, just know how you can handle this and you are good to go. |

Well, i feel it is not dangerous. Which is harmful only if the market price of bitcoin suddenly decreases within 1 day, but that is rare. Although it happens, maybe you can still minimize it by selling bitcoin that you have on that day.
Yes it is not dangerous because it's just a small investment, but it's also true if the price drops in one day that makes the panic. Minimize all bitcoins for sale, it will reduce losses. |

Yes, especially now we can see bitcoin at highest level - 3200 almost. After year it will be 4000-5000. But for my opinion altcoins have more potential to rising 1000% and more. More faster potential than bitcoin. |

I just wanted to know that,what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit.But i want to know what is the risk involved.Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
Risk differs from on how much money a person invests, so if you are going to put a lot of money in bitcoin, then it can be higher level of risk, as I said it differs and one opinion just won't change the conclusion. Don't spend entire money on bitcoin, go for a long term recurring investment that is buy when price is less and sell when price is high on a regular basis . |

If you do prefer in playing safe and just hold back because you're scared, you do not belong here in bitcoin industry or community. Asking how much risk is not appropriate to say, when we say bitcoin is a currency and we can consider it as money, still there are risks involved. When we talk about money, there is no such thing as play safe for your own sake, but choosing the right path or decision does takes place, it is not a child's play, so for security i would rather say it is better to be safe than sorry in bitcoin, but not risking? Nah its not guaranteed.
Hmm, one of the things we have to do is to understand that all things have a risk. For there is no beneficial things without the presence of an obstacle, if you do not want to get the big advantage better is using bitcoin transactions or can be used to place investments such as bank deposits. It seems to me that there is only one risk in investing in bitcoin it's just that at some point it may be that bitcoin is a pyramid scheme worldwide, and like any other pyramid it can come down. Fluctuations of bitcoin prices is not a problem because in the whole year it always goes up.
Did you mean the ponzi model? I do not think so, simply because Bitcoin has practical applications in life Many countries have accepted it Yep! Many states are making bitcoins legal because of its amazing features. People are using it as payment less than treating it is a mode of investment and earning. Bitcoin value is driven by the community support.It has no government or central authority to ensure its value.Its price increases and decreases in proportion to variation in demand for bitcoin.So,its a risky investment.But bitcoin has given huge returns to its investors in the past. Not only in the past you can expect the same results even in future as you see the price of bitcoins is increasing and in future it will be even more when the demand of bitcoins will go higher so I don't think that there is huge risk of investing money in it. There was never any risk in investing into bitcoins nor is there any now. Bitcoins are not scam or fraud that people will face any risk with bitcoins. Rather people are in love with bitcoins and are highly pleased by the performances of the bitcoins. All trading involve little risk and same is the case with bitcoins. |

Every investment has its own risk to loose whether in real business outside of crpto-world or with bitcoin but eventually the risk in trading alts against bitcoin is very high compare to other unless you know how to do it right example BCC-BTC in recent days.

I don't see any major risk in investing in bitcoin now as the current situation but if you are ready to take that risk for a fortune that is worth it.Even i'm thinking of investing in btc now because everyone is seeing a possible future of bitcoin becoming a major sort of currency.
