Depends on how long you intend to hold it. If you intend to hold it for the long-term, it shouldn't have too much risk. the price will go up and down, but will probably be in an upward trend in the next few years.

This is correct the longer you hold the lesser you risk of losing money, right now the price of bitcoin is above 3800, if you have been holding since the price of bitcoin was 200 then you are in profits no matter if the price stays that way or if it losses one thousand dollars, the price almost becomes irrelevant.

You need know $200 for enough target $4000 of Bitcoin and falldown again to $3000 = 3800 - 800 = loss $800 if you still hold Bitcoin. So the risk if still holding Bitcoin in this time high than the profit you earned when waiting.

This is a great idea to those investing, because investing is really so risky that is why it is much better to divide it in case the other one fails you always have a back up solution.  Not taking a risk won't take us anywhere, we won't learn anything.

You have posted this thread as on April 23 this year when the price of bitcoin was below 2K. Just look at the chart right now and you will see the price is rose almost double what you had before. So your 3-4 BTC are almost 6-8 by now and thats the beauty of bitcoin really. I hope you really has invested at that time and now enjoying the money easily earned with bitcoin power.

Bitcoin investment is always profitable at any time as it is going to be worth 10K soon and we must take risks in the bitcoin to earn more.

The only risk is that, there's always a chance that Bitcoin's value will decrease in a short period of time but it will eventually come back to normal. You may wait for the value to become low but you also have an option to buy now because Bitcoin's price is still increasing at this moment. You'll be still assured that you'll earn the return of investment.

no doubt that bitcoin is providing opportunities to people to make money. but it think risk is always there. i do not think that without risk profit is possible, not only from bitcoin but from every business investment and trading. i think we must take risk and only then we can become enable to make money from bitcoin. 

yes that is right that it is providing opportunities to people but still you have to take the risk and without taking risk i do not think that making money is possible, i think you can only make money if you are taking risk in bitcoin otherwise it may not be possible. i think those people who do not dare to take risk then they cannot make money from bitcoin.

I think the same! Investing in bitcoins is far less risky than investing in any other crypto currency because it’s worth keeps on accelerating. In case of dip, the investors must be patient. But I am afraid there will be no dumping phase in near future. Bitcoins gives more profits in lesser time to its investor. I am not just throwing words, it's a fact. Still naysayers are going to say no.

For me its 50-50. It just two way, increasing or decreasing. That how bitcoins will go in the future. It depends on your luck. It has balanced risk. If you buy bitcoin today at a certain price, tomorrow it will change depending on how it will go the whole time. It either up or down. That's it.

That is a simplistic view and one that does not conform to reality, that only applies if you buy  and wait for some days, but if you see the graph of bitcoin and its price in time you will see that at any point that you bought bitcoin in the past the current price is higher, so the longer you hold the possibility of getting earnings reach almost 100%.

Right now I'd say it's significantly more risky than one year ago, but I kind of have an advantaged viewpoint to say that. People say never risk more than you can afford to lose, I'd say that still rings true.
