Should I refund my 128 batch 1 chips w/full assembly?

Probably a good idea to get a refund since the chips are so late. Perhaps, you can wait and see how the Gen2 chips go, or just buy into BTC from fiat directly going forward. I've refunded thousands of chips already, so take it FWIW.

For those posting that they've gotten their refunds, would you mind posting when you requested the refund? Might be a useful nugget of info for those waiting for refunds...

I have not yet received refunds, for refund requests submitted on Sat 9/14.

(One of two was resubmitted on Sun 9/15, due to lack of confirmation in the browser window the first time. Possibly a browser issue.)

my request was put in 9/12 and I haven't heard squat about chips/miner/assembly/freight, or even if my request was received.

Yeah, my request was on 9/11 and I have gotten no refund/confirmation as of yet.

My refund request was re-submitted on, I believe, 9/11, I too have not heard or seen anything since.

Why re-submitted? Did you get a notification of a problem, or you just resubmitted due to lack of any confirmation?

I don't want to screw things up worse for SB by submitting a duplicate request, but I don't want to sit on my ass and let my request fall through the cracks either :/

If only there were a way to know if it's been received...  Doh!

Resubmitted a request today, pretty sure I messed up the last one. I'm guessing that there hasn't been any word from SB recently?

I sent an e-mail and submitted the refund form Sept 11th.

So far, no confirmation, no reply e-mail, nothing. Looks like he's running about 2 weeks behind the refund date, which is really not that surprising.

Since many people here are having issues understanding if their refund request was received or not, I decided to put together the following list to track refund status.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299006.0

To participate if you have requested a refund, please post in the thread this information:

 * Quantity of chips (ex: 256)
 * Batches (ex: Batches 2 & 3 )
 * Date refund was requested
 * Date refund was received (empty if not received)

For all dates, please use the international friendly date format: 17-Jan-2013

Got a notification of a problem. Probably my fault. Might've mistyped something in the signature on the first one. Sure would have been nice if he'd turned on receipts so I could verify. Nope. Nothing. Half-assed just like everything else with this group buy.

All the group buys are a mess.
I am just glad to be in this group and not in the terahash group.
No way is SB trying to rip anyone off.
I an not going to ask for a refund.
I only bought 4 F16's assembled & tested.
The main reason for my purchase was to experiment with the ASIC's and bitcoin.
Yes it would have been nice to get some ROI but that's not going to happen.
I will get to do lots of experimenting and learn in the process.
When SB receives a batch of ASIC's I will be asking to have my units assembled at the latest state even if it's not fully functional.

I sent my refund request following SB instructions and properly signed the email;
Yes, I followed the instructions and filled the goggle form at the following address: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1nT1HBU26UYQ_Ctev_mFLmBKKgYrtivLbcqWsabKpOGE/viewform

In addition, I PM a copy of the information requested in the form and  emailed to SB (twice). Still no answers.

So it's been 12 days since the last update? Also 12 days since I submitted my request, with nothing to show for it. Not even a confirmation. 12 days of waiting, and not knowing if my refund request was EVEN RECEIVED?!

I've been trying to give SB some time. I never even sent in a duplicate refund request because I didn't want to slow the process. But now I'm having visions of hearing "Oh, your refund request was never received, sorry 'bout that..."

Come on now, this is getting ridiculous. Can we PLEASE get some information on the progress of refunds, or even if our request is properly in queue? I don't even know if I should expect refunds for JUST the chips, if I'm waiting for an assembly refund as well, or if that is yet to be requested.

Steamboat - do you think you could waste a few minutes of your valuable time to answer these nagging questions that have persisted since your last update?

I'm with you (and many more), cardcomm.  You've been been calm and collected while being vocal, and as such I've lived vicariously through your posts.

It's extremely frustrating to come in Monday morning, hoping to see some sort of progress from the weekend, and find no new posts of 'refund received', no email or post updates from sb, and no posts from people bitching.  It's clear that the life is being sucked out of this process.  Come on sb!

Also no word on when the chips arrived, that Yifu supposedly claimed to have shipped last monday.

Hopefully they arrived, were put on boards 24/7 all weekend, and he has been busy boxing and shipping them all day...

Unless he or Yifu lied? Or customs intervened "again"? Or something?

Steamboat - do you think you could waste a few minutes of your valuable time to answer these nagging questions that have persisted since your last update?

It's pretty interesting to observe that when I was sending in money for each batch order, the confirmation e-mails came within a day of having sent the BTC.

Now that I've requested a refund for all my batch orders, along with the transaction ID's, signatures, etc for everything, there is not even a confirmation that the refund has been submitted, or submitted properly.

So, does that mean if I missed a 6 on one of my transaction ID's or anything (which, I don't think I did), does that just invalidate the entire refund for ALL of my transactions on this group buy? Does that mean ANOTHER 12 day wait with no confirmation, no nothing?

Bueller? Bueller? Anybody?

Start talking about legal action, that usually lures Yifu back from counting his millions to 'post an update'.

Yes, you are correct. Thanks. I forgot he never linked that post to the OP.

That was the post where he specifically stated: "There are several questions we have not answered, and we will get to them as quickly as possible with a more detailed update."

I suppose that it hasn't been "as quickly as possible" yet. He posted on the 11th then the 18th. I guess maybe an "update" by Wednesday then? I'm tired of being kept in the dark and fed bullshit.

I just want to take my "partial refund", walk away and forget this ever happened. Yet every time I check for an update, I end up getting annoyed. What crap.
