3+ weeks ago my reward per block were 0.0014 - 0.0016 per block 1 week ago it was ~0.0011 - 0.0012 now it gets as low as 0.0008 per block 7day moving average has gone from 0.25 to 0.21 and 0.18 Is it difficulty or total hashrate? my work utility has gone from 7.8 to 7.2 If rewards are going down so quickly how are little miners like me supposed to go on? I knew it was expected, but i hoped for 2x slower decline than this Or my whining is wrong?

Its also a shame that human greed led to the pointless creation of ASIC's for mining, it monopolises Bitcoin to the few who have a lot of money the same way banks have with fiat currency.

Network hashrate increasing wihtout your personal hashrate increasing would lower the percentage of work you have contributed, so hashes would happen faster overall, but your own payout would be reduced. As difficulty rises, blocks take longer, and over time more asics/fpgas are introduced to the pool, making gpu mining less lucrative. You have to determine for yourself whether this is right for you

Good luck, I've asked that of members numerous times almost a 100 pages ago. I've simply given up. Now I just try to keep up with the 4-8 new pages per day and hope that all the newbs start to figure things out sooner rather than later.
It's human nature mixed with laziness lol, on both sides -- some noobs can't wait to get a quick info fix or are too lazy to look up answers on their own, and some ex-noobs jealously guard their info or are too lazy to give the answers again. at least we're all human.

Well, it'll be awhile before there are ASICs with integrated memory that can run the scrypt algorithm, but I don't doubt they will come if LTC climbs in value. I think a more immediate impact on LTC mining profitability will be the larger gpu mine operators moving from BTC to LTC.

I've already noticed LTC difficultly climbing with more people moving to GPU LTC mining. It's still a draw as to whether you mine BTC and trade for LTC or mine straight LTC. You'll get the same LTC either way.

I noted this... everytime the pool increased by 1000gh/s it was like I lost 1 miner. this happened 2weeks ago and again this monday. 10,500g/s 2 weeks ago becaomse 11,500gh/s which increased to 12,500gh/s monday. so each of those increases I have lost .0011x so I keep adding new miners... it is a losing battle without asics!

Every diff increase from now on is going to be a bitch. Net hash rate is exploding (asics finally shipping/working). This increase could also go above 15,5M, if blocks keep coming at such high rate. Seems we're coming to the end of small time gpu miners. Good thing is, I will finally use my pc for normal work, after months of pure mining... I wonder though, if BTC goes back to 50 or even 5, what are all these asics going to do?

Is there a problem with block 18403? Mining was running fulltime with 1.5 GH with normal about 0.003 BTC. Last block no shares and no BTC???
18403 2013-06-05 05:51:37 1:46:43 18629176 none none none 239836 25.11830000 98 Bestätigungen ausstehend
OK, has changed now from none to 0.0029 BTC.

And if all asics & their hashrate become a guided bot-net, what can we achieve then... Nice things...

Yes, I consider spamming the forum by asking f.a.q. w/o oneself trying to find the answer stealing time from the other participants. Fortunately, there are also other participants/posts. Unfortunately, they're dilute in the mass of the products of the human laziness. ;-)

I have in the last 8 minute increased my hash rate with 300 mhps. ( i come from working to home ) The other GPU has worked the whole night, and the whole 18405 block with 200 mhps. Why become i lower reward for that?
18405 2013-06-05 06:48:52 0:30:54 5641099 97 0.00025243 239843 25.40456001 94 confirmations left 18404 2013-06-05 06:17:58 0:26:21 4624965 67 0.00044449 239839 25.29670000 90 confirmations left
Thanks for answers.
