LuigiPablo, thanks. by the way, i like your political perspective in this tech part of the world, it made me think a little about the actual usage of an anonymous transaction system like anoncoin. when zerocoin is eventually implemented on top of i2p and tor - then what? we should be thinking about getting people who really need anoncoin to use it, and grow from the roots. anoncoin as tool for (with some random examples): political groups (occupywallstreet.net, occupy.com) activists (whyweprotest.net) hacktivists (freejeremy.net, chaos computer club) pirates (onebigtorrent.org) culture jammers (adbusters) alternative media (wearelegionthedocumentary.com) leakers (wikileaks, freesnowden.is, chelseamanning.org) geekz, thanks, i hope you didnt do to much work on the html, since i made some changes in the code to make it look ok on smartphone screens... well we'll see... didnt really look myself, but is there any other wallet css files to copy and paste from? like the DRK or other? i suggest we create a wikipedia article about anoncoin - in our own wiki  with this method we can get it good before we post it on wikipedia, and it will hopefully not be deleted again. |

Don't remember, it was the first coin that really decided to focus on anonymity, so if it did not come with it from the start that would not be a surprise, though I think it came with initial support for tor. Like all other blockchains ANC is decentralized, or are you seriously asking if tor and I2p is centralized? I see you are setting up for some kind of comparission here, won't work. |

You can choose between TCP or I2P. In difference between TCP an I2P address is quite different. See getpeerinfo from one of my nodes;

As for what the coin provides, You would have to ask the developer. I know that they are working on it as you did when you first launched anoncoin. The first week you launched, did you have trolls coming in the thread to discredit your work and try to sink the price? edit: after reading thru some info about the work you are doing, I will invest in ANONCOIN also. The first week you launched, did you have trolls coming in the thread to discredit your work and try to sink the price? Yes correct. I made some mistakes in the launch etc, I'm not hiding them. You find it all in the start of the thread. Much because back then we had to read the source code to create coins, and not have those fancy guides as people have today. I was also new to it back then However, I didn't say I had a feature I didn't have before it was finished implemented. Tolls came, and some hours later I pushed the I2P patch. |

I didn't say I had a feature I didn't have before it was finished implemented. I dont think the dev said he had Zerocoin integrated in the current code. He said they will launch it in Oct. |

Keep up the good work and , good luck with zerocoin implementation. If you go to page one of this thread you will notice that the very first public comment was criticism of Anoncoin. Yet here we are, more than a year later. We have survived 1000's of altcoins and we have something to show for ourselves. Native I2p support and a working UFO distributed Generation CLient. Not to mention awesome dedicated devs. Meeh has been working on privacy related products long before he got involved in this project. I have personally seen Gnosis comments on darknet forums (such as the now defunct HackBB) months before he ever joined the team. Devs from a lot of other products are not truly interested in true privacy and they are not actually active users of crypto and anonymity products such as Tor, I2p GPG ect. Edduffield the darkcoin dev has a series 7 brokers license from FINRA a United States Financial Regulatory agency for financial services. He was a stock-broker before he got involved in crypto-currency and it reflects on his work. Similarly Cloakcoin came with a built in exchange and instamine. More focused on the quick buck with gimmicks and hype than delivering the best most anonymous product. This coin has a working plan to integrate true anonymity without the use of trusted parties. If you are going to shill for an anonymous coin, imo you might as well shill for this one. |

Strongly vote against using the name zerotrust. It would sabotage the coin more than anything else.
The few people who understand the arcane reference to trustlessness would be outweighed by the huge number who would instinctively say "zerotrust, that sounds like a bad thing".
I must reverse myself here and agree, after testing 'ZeroTrust' out on a few friends.... the first impression is that it is not trustworthy. We do have to aim at those without knowledge first and foremost. But for me, who knows what it means.... it sounded great at first. |

Please try figure out my connections location. So what does this other coin provide as "anon" other than a unfinished ZC implementation? I have no doubt that you are a leader in the field. As for what the coin provides, You would have to ask the developer. I know that they are working on it as you did when you first launched anoncoin. The first week you launched, did you have trolls coming in the thread to discredit your work and try to sink the price? edit: after reading thru some info about the work you are doing, I will invest in ANONCOIN also. Keep up the good work and , good luck with zerocoin implementation. The comments made about the coin had nothing to do with trolling nor sinking the price. It's about truth and functionality. If claims are made, one should be prepared to back them up. Some of the people here are genuinely concerned for others who might get ripped off. In fact, the entire focus of ANC is to provide something which everybody really needs, even if most of us don't yet realize that we do need privacy in our commercial exchanges and communications. I must reverse myself here and agree, after testing 'ZeroTrust' out on a few friends.... the first impression is that it is not trustworthy. We do have to aim at those without knowledge first and foremost. But for me, who knows what it means.... it sounded great at first. Sounded great to me to, but we associate it directly with zerocoin. GF looked at me with the "are you stupid" look when I tested it on her. Anyways, I think the name zerocoin itself is very misleading to everyone not involved in the cryptoscene. |

People come here for privacy, the demographic we are catering to wont have a problem with it. It clears up a lot of confusion and it might just be the slogan we need to carry us through the next wave of shitcoins. Well, I am a complete noob and Anoncoin follower. I believe that since you people would be launching Zerocoin shortly, the renaming of your coin can have long lasting positive correlation if done correctly. You have this one chance only while launching it, and as such MERITS due consideration. may I suggest "MAXTRUST : MCX" CONSIDER THE RAMIFICATINS: It extrapolates your anonymity philosophy standpoint while simultaneously resolving the "ZERO TRUST = MAXIMUM ANONIMITY" confusion for the larger general populace (noobs like me). A name like this will have a very long shelf life. whatever changes you will incorporate to strengthen anonymity in the future, the name will remain relevant: both to you techies and us noobs. It does away with the cliché "COIN". What with bucket loads of coins coming and going daily, THIS NAME COULD CREATE A LONG TERM POSITIVE DIFFERENTIATOR. moreover, "coins" always are smaller brothers/sisters of their respective currencies (dollars versus cents etc).
