Hello everyone where can I exchange my coins??? @Unthinkingbit: please revert the changes of receiver_76/77 in those files (git), since that broke everything. Then you are also back in sync. Meanwhile i've switching away from your repo to markm's files.

If anyone is interested to write.. you can use STEEM and get paid...
Steemit.com has perked my interest, as well, Sidhujag (@novacadian). It seemed the natural extension of the DevTome idea... merged with blockchain technology. The one thing that is still a bit unnerving about Steemit, to me, is that it does not seem, truly, decentralized. Perhaps DevCoin could take that Open Source code on as a project and remove all trace of .com from the equation so as to provide software that will deliver the blockchain from a configurable Nodes/Witnesses/Miner server for the user. From my understanding at the moment, if steemit.com were to be attacked the Network's delivery would, virtually, go down. The blockchain would be preserved by the Witness Nodes, yet something like a DDOS attack or the lack of Net Neutrality in the US could become weaknesses for such centralized delivery systems using the blockchain ledger. That sounds like a huge problem to be solved in the Blockchained Open Sourced Community. Know where one could be found? - Nova Steemit Source : https://github.com/steemit/condenser

Devcoin started by funding software developers, then devtome was made. Most of those software developers ignored devcoin, as far as I know only develCuy and Emfox came to devcoin from software funding. Most administrators came from writers, because there were far more interested writers.
Devtome was supposed to make money from advertising, which would of payed for other projects, but the advertising revenues turned out to be insignificant. I expected advertisers to pay for many ads on devtome because there was so much content, but I was wrong.
Proud to have been part of a DevCoin project. Still HODL my DVC reward. http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=smf_incoming_email_capability- Nova

This is quite terrible for devcoin.
are the AI bots still running for devcoin?
This project has merit and worth but the presentation is all wrong... this project must survive.
Can an exchange be setup on devtome.com? can we migrate to a .org?
is there a hashing system to create signatures for users?
there is a lot that has to be changed for devcoin to survive.
Without people having access to devcoin the point of this project is mute. The technology we adopted is supporting an idea, helping to monetize it... and that idea is not being shared. If people don't know, how are they going to support the writers, artists and programmers?
Who is sharing the best work of these writers and artists?
I believe this project has lost it's way/direction and it needs re-assess what matters most.

who is the devcoin developer?
Sidhujag made the latest version of devcoin. The main problem is some exchanges require the developer to take full financial liability for any alleged code problems. I know this is boilerplate legal code, but it is still a problem. If Sidhujag wants to be the devcoin developer for coding purposes, he's got it. Otherwise, someone who is not worried about liability can be declared as the devcoin developer for coding purposes, and that person can hand off any coding questions if they arise to Sidhujag or other programmers on the thread. Since that person is solving our liability problem, they would get shares as a liability administrator. Does that exchange say anything about the developer being liable for any alleged code problems? .. if he just fills in form they will add. or better still email them, they got back right away to me when i discussed another coin but I don't know all the specs. so if dev can identify himself and fill form or email them we can finally have an exchange cheers
For the rest of the questions, Fuuzybear answered below, and I agree with him: So the requirements for a listing of devcoin on their site is as follows: ######################################################## If you are a developer or official representative of cryptocurrency asset, you can add this asset to Livecoin. We offer a few options to list a new asset, please contact us via email . Don't forget to provide the following when you request listing: 1) link to an official git of your node 2) link to an official website 3) link to block chain which must working properly 4) name of asset and trading symbol .. answers to the questions would be as follows? please feel free to correct or update: 1) https://github.com/coinzen/devcoin ?? 2) http://devcoin.org/3) https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dvc/4) Devcoin (DVC)

https://www.supernet.org/en/technology/barterdexThis technology was built for this devcoin could be listed directly to Komodo participants Even setting up an exchange on the devtome site... but the site really needs an overhaul for sure... something better for what the devcoin community represents.

That is the good news I want to tell everyone but it is delayed till the new version of STEEM blockchain. Stay tunned What can we expect from Devcoin and STEEM? First of all happy 2018!! All devtome users can benefit from it! STEEM is a social publishing platform with its own blockchain, it has two tokens: STEEM and SBD, you get paid 50% STEEM and 50% SBD for your articles after 7 days. The amount you earn is a product of the votes (actually "upvotes") your post managed to attract from other users. Such weight is calculated from the amount of VESTS or "STEEM POWER" each voting users holds, your current Voting Power and the relative market price of SBD/USD pair. Currently 1 SBD worths ~6.5 USD In short, you make money with "likes" Are you interested on becoming a beta user of my new @devcoin project on STEEM and make easy coins? Do this: - Register a new account in steemit.com ( if you don't have one already) - Authorize @devcoin to vote with your account https://v2.steemconnect.com/authorize/@devcoin (this will help to fund @devcoin) - Vote for devcoin witness https://v2.steemconnect.com/sign/account-witness-vote?witness=devcoin&approve=1 (this will help to fund @devcoin as well) - Publish an article in steemit.com with the tag #devcoin (you can also use busy.org to post articles) - Place your Devcoin Address at the bottom of your post, using this format: @devcoin/MYDEVCOINADDRRESS (example: @devcoin/1DogCa5wiVZJWFnFDezuw5XssoWWabijnE ) - Your post will be voted with a value of ~0.10 SBD (~0.65 USD), this is your reward for being a beta tester! - Wait up to 24 hours, if your post is not upvoted please send me a private message - After 7 days, you'll receive 1 Devcoin for every SBD your post got paid - Voila! You just merged mined Devcoin and STEEM by writing content! If this experiment goes well I'll add more features and more funds to raise the rewards!

I have a question on the following requirement: Authorize @devcoin to vote with your account
What is the reason for this requirement? I do not feel comfortable with giving away my voting rights.

I have a question on the following requirement: Authorize @devcoin to vote with your account
What is the reason for this requirement? I do not feel comfortable with giving away my voting rights. I think he may be talking about delegating SP to Devcoin. The reason would be to have more collective weight to be able to give upvoted posts more value. If it's delegating SP, you can try it for a while and if you're not happy with the results you can always undelegate your SP. If it's turning over all voting rights of your account to Devcoin, then that's a different story. Perhaps develcuy can clarify.

I have a question on the following requirement: Authorize @devcoin to vote with your account
What is the reason for this requirement? I do not feel comfortable with giving away my voting rights. It is to create collective value so that the vote from @devcoin triggers the vote from all registered users of this service. Also note that you are not giving away your voting rights, you can still vote with your account. If you want to review what @devcoin is voting for: https://steemd.com/@devcoin and your account as well.

If your Voting Power (VP) is under 80% then @devcoin will no use your vote. That is how we make sure to no deplete your VP.
