Do we know the frequencies to OC it on Scrypt-only mode? I haven't seen a published list.

You can try 900, 950, and 1000 but I tend to get more HW errors starting at 900.

Will do. I have some cooling on it (just a little fan), so we'll see if I can successfully OC it to 900.

Also, re this post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=168174.msg5622893#msg5622893

To clarify what "shut off" means. I find that after a few hours, the unit stops sending any accepted shares, and little yellow light on the front, that is usually on when it's working, turns off. So that's what I mean when I say say "shut off."

nwoolls: any thoughts on this? The unit still "shuts off" and never runs consistently. I know you mentioned there's a driver issue? Any chance it'll be resolved in the next release?

Excellent software

Just wondering is it possible to mine coins based on difficulty that are not yet listed on CoinChoose?

I can now confirm support for both 1-chip and 5-chip GridSeed Scrypt ASICs in MultiMiner (and BFGMiner):

The current build of MultiMiner should work just fine. Windows users can download a preview release of BFGMiner with support for both 1-chip and 5-chip devices here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/i8cai8x79b79gzo/bfgminer_gridseed_pr2.7z

The 1-chip devices require FTDI drivers available here:

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

The 5-chip devices require a custom INF file available here (GridSeed folder):

Nwools, there's a new coin-choosing app that was just announced.  Might be a good alternate for your Coinchoose/Coinwarz woes - if they support APIs...

Thanks for the heads-up, I've reached out to them.

That is great news.
It is a great project that is for sure.

Thread now pinned for being an actively maintained and used project.

Yes - thank you very much! Was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it  Grin

Unfortunately it needs to be listed on either CoinChoose or CoinWarz as that is where MultiMiner gets the list of coins ranked on difficulty.

I seen this post on the Gridseed 5 chip but dont see how to update custom INF file, please help

Once you have plugged in the device you'll need to go into the Windows Device Manager and install drivers for it. When prompted for the driver, select the INF file provided in the link you referenced. Note that you will need to disable driver signing in order to use it (this is different depending on the version of Windows but you can find instructions on Google).

Not sure why no one's mentioned this before, but these two columns are reversed in MobileMiner:

I have a weird problem.
I setup a system for my friend.  It is win 7 64bit.
He has a XFX 280X Black edition.
I can get it to run fine on sgminer.  You know how much it kills me to not run MultiMiner.  It runs fine on sgminer mining Litecoin.
On MuMi it run for a few mins then stops no matter what arguments I put in or even if leave it blank.  It's output never reaches above 74 kh/s.
Do you have any ideas as to why the difference?
Here is the argument that works the best for sgminer.  I have used BFG versions of this and also nothing or just I13 and still it will not mine on MuMi.
Quote
--thread-concurrency 14000 -g 2 -I 13 -w 256 --auto-fan --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-
overheat 85 --temp-target 75 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1027

I don't know what to do.  Can you suggest an argument that would work so I can use MuMi instead of sgminer based on the above argument?

Thanks I appreciate the help.

Updates for MobileMiner apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone should all be available within the next hour to day. These updates include:

• Added support for switching pools / coins
• Added the option to retrieve your application key after signing in
• Machine status is now color-coded in addition to icons
• Added toast notifications for remote commands
• Added support for much larger hash-rates
• Online / offline status is now calculated more accurately

Can you copy & paste the arguments from MultiMiner (from the Process Log pane) in this thread for comparison?

Honestly wasn't that big a bug, and I kinda noticed it in passing going, "hrrm... is it me, or is that backwards?"  It was a bit more obvious when I put the S1 in there and it showed the coins as 'cgminer'.  Don't ask me why it took that to register it in my mind as an actual bug.  Tongue

I kinda figured as much.  It wasn't much of a bug anyway, more of a typo.

For some reason Gridseed doesnt come with a driver, when you plug in the usb and look in the device manager nothing doesnt show up, so Im using STM32 Virtual Com Port to get my computer to recognize it, than I have to use Zadig to request the unit, and the only miner I can get the gridseed working with is CGminer

nwoolls, do you know if the BFGminer PR4 is compatible with the Hex16a2?  There's a chance I'll be acquiring a couple of them soon.

New bug with the MobileMiner.  I can no longer delete any of my network miners.
