How do i set this up as I have tried a number of times and failed every time.

Enable the Stratum Proxy under Settings > Advanced miner settings. Then point your miners at the IP & Port of MultiMiner / bfgminer.

Note that if you have hardware with older (buggy) builds of cgminer they do not work properly with Stratum Proxies (including bfgminer and slush). If the firmware on the devices can be updated to a modern version of cgminer, con has fixed it since then.

Figured I should move this here, instead of bugging you via PM.. Another thought:

- Network (top of tree) could show total combined hash rate for all

Good idea  Grin I'll get that in there before release.

Version 2.5 PR5 (preview release) of MultiMiner is now available:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbul7x5yemjm38p/MultiMiner-2.5.0.zip

This update rounds out command support for MultiMiner Remoting. It is now possible to using Remoting to:

  • Start mining
  • Stop mining
  • Restart mining
  • Scan hardware
  • Change coins for individual devices
  • Quick Switch coins
  • Toggle Dynamic Intensity
  • Toggle mining on individual devices

I see plenty of people trying 2.5 from my telemetry - please let me know if you are running into any bugs or errors!

Edit: Even if you are not running multiple rigs, there have been a lot of changes under the hood. If you have time to test this build for bugs, even briefly, I'd appreciate it!

Version 2.5 PR7 (preview release) of MultiMiner is now available:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbul7x5yemjm38p/MultiMiner-2.5.0.zip

This update brings the following changes:

  • Ability to configure any setting on any rig: coins, strategies, perks, etc.
  • Export and import coin configurations for remote rigs
  • Total network hash-rate is now shown in the instances pane
  • Total hash-rate for the selected remote rig is now shown in the status bar
  • Wording for donating updated to make the settings clearer

Note that you will need to update each rig with this update in order for these things to work together.

This is getting very close to a 2.5 release. Thanks again for all the feedback and let me know if you find anything busted!

I have an easy one.
I am finally going to overclock my RedFuries.  I am not sure how to add the oscillator commands in MuM like I do in the BFG command line without apparently causing havok.

What arguments are you trying to use? For most any bfgminer arguments you should be able to enter them under Settings > Advanced miner settings in the Arguments area. Is that giving you trouble?

Yes when I add bitfury -o 54 it does not let mining start.  I'm not sure if I am messing the arrangement due to being exhausted or not.

That doesn't look like a valid argument for bfgminer, can you link me to the documentation on the arguments you are trying to use?

It's definately not a valid argument, I have moved all of my gear to one system as the mainboard just died in my other one.
I just tried to string together commands like I was in BFG.
Sorry I'm just tired I will get it squared around.  Going on 4 days no sleep and my cognition hits shoelace levels.

No problem - I did some digging through the bfgminer source code and I think this should work for you:

Code:
bfgminer --set-device bigpic:osc6_bits=54 -o etc etc

When I set mm up, it will only give me info on and switch between bitcoin and zetacoin. I have setup unobtanium, asiccoin, tigercoin, bytecoin and firefly coin as well. Using the coinwarz option. On the coins not listed I put the symbol they use (osc for opensourcecoin as example)

Is there something I am missing?

I have a wish list item for MultiMiner.

I thought of this as I was adding arguments for my RedFuries.

How about setting it up so if you right click on each device listed there is a menu that you can add the arguments there.
This would facilitate easier individual settings for each device without having to make long strings manually in the advanced miner section where mistakes are easily made.

Hopefully in the near future.  Grin

It is one of the items on the wish-list already. It will take some thought because some arguments can simply be appendedand others would need to be changed (such as taking two --thread-concurrency arguments and converting their values to comma-separated). This means MultiMiner needing to have a pretty deep understanding of every device argument that bfgminer understands.

Again it's on the wish-list but just not straight-forward to implement.

Ah I understand now.
I kept thinking it would be easier to implement.
It gets nuts adding arguments for multiple devices in the one box.

Hello again nwoolls. I tried as you said to do and it says not supported or comes up and says pool dead or not responsive to setting stratum mining up for ant miners as said to set up ip and port and then run.

Just downloaded, running on bitcoin no problem. I like that it grabbed the shared config from /roaming. I thought I would have to export and import settings between version folders. So far it is performing just like the previous version (have not played around at all). I figure since  I am just installing mm for the first time anyway and learning how it functions, If I come accross any bugs/issues I can report them as well. Is there a help/getting started for people new to this program but familiar with cgminer/bfgminer etc? So that I do not waste time on simple newbie issues, like a tutorial?

I have a blog post but that's about it currently  Sad

http://blog.nwoolls.com/2013/12/11/bitcoin-mining-on-windows-multiminer/

It's pretty light on details but may help. There's also a FAQ that another user started in the readme:

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/blob/master/README.md

If anyone feels like writing more documentation I'd be happy to merge pull requests or link to blogs etc.
