I had no idea Quark is collapsing :-) you remind me of some bitcoin-haters that said couple of months ago that it will collapse and will reach $10. No point hating a coin for the simple reason its different from Bitcoin.

Regarding your point about consumption I would rather attribute that to deflationary currencies than inflationary ones like Quark because if I hold 1 btc now I'm more incentivised to keep it till it'll reach a certain price in 6-12 months, while if I hold 1 qrk I know the value won't go up in price alot more because the protocol will create more quarks each year so I rather hold more faith in an inflationary currency for day-2 day transactions than a deflationary one, right ? I mean, all bitcoiners - myself included, are waiting for the moon so we can dump it and buy a island, but with Quark I don't have those aspirations and I only hope it'll be accepted at more merchants so I can use it for my internet purchases.

Excellent point!- And I rather like your game idea a lot. I would not say this is out of the realm of possibility at all. Don't listen to the nay sayers- there are people working actively on the gaming/mining idea trying to make it a reality.

can you add a 4-6 digit password on the qrk mobile wallet for essential operations ?

I asked Hash Engineering about this, he states that he is hopeful that Andreas Schildbach will add it to the Bitcoin Wallet- Hopefully soon-
Because Quarks Wallet is based on the Schildbach wallets coding/features, we will have to wait a bit on this one.
Currently there is no Android wallet app with this feature..

I've put more emphasis on your `but`so maybe I've misunderstood what you were saying between the lines.

Secondly, Bitcoin is a deflationary currency which makes my mumbo jumbo extremely accurate because a finite supply will always go either boom or doom. An inflationary currency like Quark has the potential to be used as a day to day medium of exchange but also a store of value for short-medium term, thus making Quark war with Bitcoin almost impossible but not lost.

Thirdly, merchants are more likely to accept a currency which has a relatively solid liquidity like Bitcoin than to accept Quark which trades so low that it wouldn't meet a local shop requirements lol, however lets see in few more years when the generations of bitcoins drops to a halt, lets see then how much liquidity Bitcoin will have then, people like me will rather hold long their bitcoin position than making day to day purchases. I hold more hope in Quark for the daily purchases having the fastest confirmation time for transactions and also inflationary status. The current battles are all won by Bitcoin and I'm glad it happens so because mainstream adoption will make people understand crypto currencies, only then the real war between cryto coins will begin.

There are coins with 15 seconds confirmations already on the market and enough with 30 seconds block.
Besides , this can be achieved with a hard fork also by bitcoin so it's a temporary advantage.

For these ideas the game has to come out first, shaquille o'neal himself will probably do a short video on quark as well so that's pretty cool also

QRK isn't going to go anywhere fast so long as there is no development funding  and no full time marketing, project/services and development team. QRK has some big advantages over most other alts but the block reward scaling and lack of development fund are big problems. I don't see any way of fixing those other than what i have suggested before. Long term QRK could do well since the core team does tend to pull big things off out of the blue. Short term i see nothing really changing. This is kind of worrying to say the least, since when qrk is worth nothing it will be far more difficult to pay external devs, project managers etc when you need millions for a few btc.

If you're waiting for a miracle I really don't know what you're waiting for, not even Bitcoin hasn't reached mass audience and its being promoted all over the place for 2-3 years now and you're expecting an altcoin to succeed in couple of weeks? months ? For these ideas i think the game should be introduced first. For the rest is that the guys are active and working on things, but they can't be introduced to the public yet because if they don't deliver it wouldn't be a good thing giving false hopes.
