I personally think by merit points it is extremely hard especially for new members to increase their rank and they might lose interest in forum seeing this I might be wrong personally i like the idea behind this but let's see how it goes.
You are right! Users who have such negative attitude actually don't belong to the forum in any aspect. They should leave the forum forever, find others to join. The forum is a good place for eagerly-to-learn users, not for spammers, fudders, money-makers. They should and have to leave because the merit system launched to control and (if possible) eliminate them out of the forum. Real users who have right attitude, really want to learn, to contribute to the forum via their high-quality, informative, constructive posts will be ranked up sooner or later. I have no doubt about the fact. Good luck, my friend. Whats wrong with "Money-Makers"? I notice your in a signature campaign and from your history, your here for nothing but signature campaigns.

So much grateful for it. Thanks for being fair to all the members here who worked hard on making sure they rank up accordingly. Also, the Merit and new rank requirement is a good avenue for the whole forum community to have a better and healthy exchanging of ideas and not just sharing a blabber all around. This will surely empower the members to produce quality posts over time. This will also for sure encourage highly educated people to join the forum since they don't just see low-quality posts.
Merit atleast 2 plss

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

You are not doing shit. You are coming off as a merit beggar with you several posts focusing on how hard it is to earn merit supposedly, and suggesting that you are somehow contributing some kind of meaningful substance when you are not... Against my better judgement, I am responding but only to let you know how annoying you are seeming in your merit-focusedness... Maybe if you would focus on some other more interesting topic, you might find some one who is incentivized to send you a merit because you inspire them to think or to laugh or to feel, rather than to become annoyed with you?

1) Self-Custody is a right. There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

actually merit system will not harm anyone in this forum. with this merit system I as a newbie be open mind to improve the quality of my posts. because the more difficult to raise the rank, then one way to do is improve the quality of our posts.

Sya bru prtma x mlihat postingn sebagus ini. Postingannya sngat mmbantu bgi yg mmbcanya ,apalagi bgi pemula sprti sya ini yg msih trsesat di tngh jaln, yg blum tau arh n tjuannya kmana... Trmaksih pak ats infonya, ini akn mnjdi ilmu yg sngat pnting buat sya...
Please use english and for now i guess it is better if you just stick and communicate with other members in your local thread. Using other language beside english in other board can be classified as breaking a rules and you might get a punishment from it.

More exactly, the more difficult to rank up with merit and new rank system, the more deserved you will get after ranking up legally. And there are more ways to earn merits, but users should focus on legal ways as constructive users to contribute to the forum.

Yes this is certainly a big problem for bitcointalk account users where they usually rank up just by posting and now have to use merit, to get the merit itself is not easy we have to make good post and tidah garbage. I myself should also learn more and be patient to get the merit in order to climb the rankings.

This is the very definition of sig spamming.

One idea/question about the Merit system, I think many are hoarding their sMerit while waiting for a genious post or can't spend any because they don't have some anymore. Wouldn't it be better to give everybody a few to spend every month to get a flow into the system? I have often had the case that I would like to have given away sMerit if someone helped me, but perhaps not wrote the ultimative post. Or is it against the system to reward a helping person?

Nice idea but then there's the following problem, If obtaining sMerit become a matter of time, then spammers/bots/etc with high rank will also become a matter of time. All they'd need to do would be to shitpost with multiple accounts and then use their accounts to merit themselves. Makes sense to you?

I have 532 activity and 253 Merits - Here I am still Sr Member
On the theymos post he mentioned
Hero Member 480 activity and 500 Merits - Here maybe I have Hero Member Rank
So it means i need to have/gain 500 merits to get ranked up?

That's what it means. Just like me, you were given a head start with 250 as a Sr. Member at the time, so we only need to earn another 250 to deserve the Hero rank.

You are not alone, I should have been a Senior Member 5 days after they implemented the new Merit system, it is as it is now. Be proud to be a Senior Member already.
