I do not get any and Merit. I do good posts. Still no merit is given to me. I request you to verify that I am eligible for Merit. If you like my posts, then give me a Merit gift.
Your post quality after a quick browse doesn’t look bad at all. You’ve obviously just been unlucky, keep up your current posting style & you won’t be far off getting a couple of Merit points soon.

on another view, one will refuse to use their merits which very hard to earn, in order to make other be better, and lower their own " intelectual "
Merits and sMerits are not the same thing. Awarding sMerit does not diminish your merit score, or affect your ranking block.

I don't think your thread is constructive, helpful, or useful, and of course, non-deserved merits. Why you published the thread with lots of basic information which everyone (not lazy users) can get in the OP of the topic (Theymos stated very clear in the OP). If you only posted the thread to get activity-count, it's good for you; but looks like a spam in several aspects.

I understand but I dont know what to post to get merit from other My suggestion for you is, start by helping people in need in your local board, there are so many potential merit giver there and all the moderators of the local board are also a merit sources too, so using your own language and a high quality posts, you can increase the chance of yourself getting merit from others. But, as i see your posts, i think it is a hard task to achieve, but it is not impossible if you start to learn about things (bitcoin and cryptocurrency).

Your post quality after a quick browse doesn’t look bad at all. You’ve obviously just been unlucky, keep up your current posting style & you won’t be far off getting a couple of Merit points soon. His post quality doesn't look bad, because he has been plagiarizing stuff? One thing that introduction of merit has done is bring out the greed in lazy posters - they want to get merit and rank up immediately. Calling Bitcoin the 'biggest bubble in human history', eminent economist Nouriel Roubini predicted that the virtual currency - currently on a tailspin that erased nearly $500 billion of market value over the past month - will crash to zero value. Roubini, also known as 'Dr Doom' for accurately predicting the 2008 financial crisis warned that some people would use a market manipulation tactic known as wash trading to prop up the price. Wash trading in the crypto world involves someone buying and selling their own order to manipulate markets. A professor of economics at Stern School, part of the New York University, Roubini has been sceptical about Bitcoin since its inception, calling it a "gigantic speculative bubble."

A lesson for all of us : 1. Dont say something bad that will attract people to crosschecking you. 2. Dont ever do plagiarism, in real life or internet.

This merit system is good system to eliminate those spammers. Hasn't taken care of you yet, though the ignore button is proving to be a nice feature. But it is hard to get merit, because i need merit to rank up.
Let's rearrange this sentence to it's equivalent "Because I need merit to rank up, it is hard to get merit" and take the but out. Does that sound like a logical thought? No. What would be logical is "It's hard to get merit, and I'm not ranking up". This is true, and I would add that you can expect to never rank up if you keep writing the way you are. You could also write "It's hard to get merit and I need it to rank up", to which I'd respond that you're whining and don't have a grasp on how bad your posts are. You need a reality check. Iddd will hard work to gain more merits. If you consider what you wrote here to be hard work, then I weep for your country, your employer, and anyone who is dependent on your income. You've proven in one sentence that you lack the requisite language skills to be posting here. Either go back to square one and learn how to put together a sentence or just go away. This forum doesn't need its pipes clogged with what you're flushing.

Agree, The Pharmacist ! The guy, namely Mystogan915 should read this topic which created by TMAN before making next threads in the forum. His next threads should be more grammatical-corrected, more logically. Improving skills, improving English language, writing better threads are one of the most effective ways to contribute to the forum. TMAN's guide to getting meritsWhat would be logical is "It's hard to get merit, and I'm not ranking up". This is true, and I would add that you can expect to never rank up if you keep writing the way you are.
You could also write "It's hard to get merit and I need it to rank up", to which I'd respond that you're whining and don't have a grasp on how bad your posts are. You need a reality check.
Using pseudo-English should be avoid as less as possible.

This is the end of shit poster's, Lets adapt the new merit system, I know this is for our own good, Everybody in the forum are obligue to do it or else they will remain stagnant in their position, Actually i admit that i had a hard time to construct quality post but i realize if im not going to do it, How can i improve myself? This system is a great challenge for me and i am willing to do it to become a better participant in the forum.. best wishes and goodluck to everyone of us:)

Real talk. When I first encounter merit system I say it's a nice new system to eliminate shit poster, but now I experience how difficult to earn merit and I feel I'll just stuck with my rank forever.
Theirs a lot of good poster here that's not even recognize. Is merit system done automatically or just by manual reading by those people are giving merit, because it's unfair for those really deserve it and needs to rank up.

There are plenty of members here receiving merits for their quality posts. After reviewing your post history, it's apparent why you don't receive any merits. Your posts are shit, and mainly in megathreads. You're a shitposter. The merit system is doing exactly what it was designed to do.Come on, do you really believe that posts like these deserve any merit? These are the first few posts I grabbed from your most recent post history... At first I don't really believe in Bitcoin I thought it was a scam but my friend told me about it, his earnings. And I started to read some feedback in internet about Bitcoin. My friend guided me how to start.
Life in Bitcoin is exciting especially when I get my first payment it helps me in the time's when I really need money. Bitcoin life is a nice experience that is also good to share to other.
Each country has their own currency that symbolize their own identity and status. Replacing those in one currency like Bitcoin is impossible to happen.
Involvement in Bitcoin is a serious matter you in terms of time and effort. But after that you will see the results of all your labor. For me I will choose Bitcoin first for my future living.
My advice to you? Stop posting in megathreads. Stop posting just to get your post/activity count up. Stop posting single sentence generic posts that are not contributive to the thread. Stop posting the same answer that has already been posted before you. Make conscious efforts to try to provide quality content here, rather than just your generic opinions that, in the end, don't matter. "Real talk."

Merit is a community driven feature. There are two classes of members who can award merits. Merit sources are long term members who are trusted by Theymos to dispense merits where deserved, and who won't sell merits. They receive a monthly quota regardless of their posting. The other members who can award merits ( known as sMerits in this case) are members who have received merits as awards for their posting. The assumption is that if they are awarded merits, then they can be trusted to award a limited number themselves. In this case they are able to award a number equal to half of the merits they receive. These sMerits are newly created through the process of receiving merits, and giving them away does not affect the donor's merit count. The system is well thought out, and because it is community driven, people should look to their own abilities and actions if they are not receiving merits.

Hey theymos, are you planning to give a deadline for users to spend their airdropped smerit? 6 months or 1 year for example? The amount collected could be used to make a second airdrop that could be limited to users who shared their merit with others. I don't see why should selfish and dormant accounts keep holding smerit.
(I still think that a second airdrop should be considered but in a limited edition-excluding abusers)

Sadly, the amount of decayed sMerits will be gone, not to be collected and give it to other people, no matter the reason. At least, that is what theymos said up till this time. Besides, if the system is designed to collect the merit and distribute it to people who shared their merit, then people will abuse it smartly on top of a quality posts and he/she will get merit later without making a contribution.
