Good point, and sending a token amount of even 1 dvc would require effort and downloading of a wallet or using the online wallets that are available. So yes more effort than they would probably be willing to put into it.

I'll cast my eyes over this and see what I can decipher and let you know if I have any success [uit has not been done so alreadyrl=http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=litecoin_android_lite_wallet]http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=litecoin_android_lite_wallet[/url]
That cropped up tonight, was there any bounty outstanding for an open source, ltc wallet?
I believe there was a Thread in here (bitcointalk.org) with a bounty going for this, i'll post it in there if it has not been done so already

I propose that the dvc wallet that open source and on android or other devices should get a monthly share for continued maintenance on the wallet.

I agree it must be open source. All software bounties are for open source programs. If the developer keeps working on the program, they can stay on the bitcoin share list: https://raw.github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity/master/bitcoinshare.htmlfor as long as they keep working.

The eligibility has been changed, now people who are receiving devcoins can get marketing devcoins in that round, rather than needing to get coins for the last three out of four months. The marketing program has been updated, it checks to see if the publisher has received generation devcoins for any reason in the current round, including bounties, writing, and the bitcoins share list, and if so marketing devcoins are awarded for whatever is in the invoice: http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=earn_devcoins_by_marketing#invoiceAlso, the links or ads on up to five domain name homepages will be counted, not just three. Still only one subdomain link or ad will be counted, and it will not be counted if there is a homepage listed. If there is no good place on a home page for a leaderboard ad (728 x 90), two full banner ads (468 x 60) can be substituted. For anyone who has a domain name and wants to put a leaderboard banner on their home page, there is a list of devtome leaderboard ads at: http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_gallery#leaderboardTo get around the empty image bug, a weird workaround is used. While an image without a link: {{:devcoin_leaderboard_fuzzybear.jpg}} will not be displayed, an image with a link: [[https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=34586.msg1668211#msg1668211|{{:devcoin_leaderboard_fuzzybear.jpg}}]] does get displayed, and so that format is used for all the images on the devcoin gallery page. If anyone wants to see how many marketing generation shares they'll get, they can download the charity folder: https://github.com/Unthinkingbit/charityand then in a terminal in that folder run: python marketing.py -outputearnings marketing_earnings_22.csv

I have a Galaxy HTC desire that I should be picking up tomorrow to have a go at installing devcoin on and will post my success on here (if i go silent means an error has occurred ) but should be possible from what I have read up so far Also we on block 83976 i see, so only 24 more blocks to go till next round of shares start paying out right? Wanted just to double check as you said unthinkingbit that earnings for the file 22 round will still be available up till block 85,000 right? Any update on the total number of shares this round so far? Don't forget everyone you can earn devcoins by writing here at http://devtome.com/

Yes. It will switch over to receiver 21. Wanted just to double check as you said unthinkingbit that earnings for the file 22 round will still be available up till block 85,000 right?
Yes. Any update on the total number of shares this round so far?
Bounties and the bitcoin share list add up to 50. I estimate writing will be around 30. Marketing should be around 8, for a total of 88. The unexpected might bring this to 100, making each generation share 1.8 million devcoins. At a price of 1.5 BTC/MDVC, that multiplies to 2.7 BTC.

Go DevCoin!
It's such an awesome idea to liberate people to be able work on their projects and become in a way the creative miners of the coin at the same time.
I can feel big things coming.

Hello, im quite confused with the whole idea of Devcoin. I've skipped trough a few pages and devtome. It says it supports developers, but there is a bunch of funfiction listed and random articles. What is it actually 'worth' to work for devcoin? I have some basic android skills, what could that earn me in market price, if i'd try to cash them out by helping devcoin?

It supports open source development, regardless of the medium. Check the current bounties available.
