And it looks like Kiev is back on its route to self-destruction: Lavrov accuses Ukrainian authorities of not following Geneva accord: http://ria.ru/world/20140423/1005096168.htmlKiev has not done any single thing of what was agreed in Geneva, says Lavrov. Furthermore, Kiev resumes a full-scale offensive in the South-East (again): http://1prime.ru/Politics/20140423/783377836.htmlEntrance to Donetsk is manned by law enforcements (the article does not say, if they are pro-Kiev or pro-Ukrainian), checking incoming vehicles for weapons and other dangerous goods: http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/04/23/n_6103921.shtml
And, apropos of nothing, Turchinov's real surname is Cohan (Кoгaн), which has Jewish roots. The same goes for Yatsenjuk, who is Bakai on mother's line, and Poroshko, who is Veltsmann, and Timoshenko, who is Kapitelmann, and Nuland, who is Nudelmann, and Klichko, who is Etizon, and Tjagnibok, who has a Frotmann for grandmother and Cegelskij for grandfather. Digging deeper, it seems that all central Maidan figures have Jewish roots. Lavrov: If Russian troops attacked, we'll respond in line with int'l law Very dull response. The Kiev nazis are not going to attack the Russian soldiers across the border. They are going to attack the Russian citizens in Oblasts such as Donetsk and Lugansk. Lavrov should have warned Kiev that he would response in kind if the Russian passport holders are attacked. Rather he chose not to use the term.

Simon Ostrovsky, a journalist for Vice News, has been covering the crisis in Ukraine for weeks and was reporting about groups of masked gunmen seizing government buildings in one eastern Ukrainian city after another. Pro-Russia insurgents who have been occupying police stations and other public buildings in eastern Ukraine for more than a week are defying the accords that Russia and Ukraine signed last week, urging on all parties in Ukraine to lay down the arms and vacate the public offices. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/04/23/pro-russian-insurgents-hold-american-journalist-hostage/?intcmp=latestnews

This could be financially bad news for the Kiev junta: Ukraine coal miners on strike, refuse to pay Kiev coup damages billOver 2,000 coal miners in Lugansk region have been on strike for the second day running, demanding higher wages and refusing to accept a pay cut to fund the restoration of Kiev, which suffered damage during the coup that overthrew the government. “The mining industry employs about 500,000 people throughout the region, provides about 15 percent of the country's GDP and coal alone is 30 percent of Ukraine's energy consumption,” Sleboda says.

The article: http://rt.com/news/154432-coal-miners-strike-ukraine/And a very relevant quote from one of the miners: “I don't understand why are we involved!” one of the protesting miners, Stanislav Denisenko told Itar-tass. “It was not us who dismantled the stones and burned the houses down. I get about 900 hryvna a month, that is around 9,000 rubles ($260). I don't understand why they are taking away my salary.”
...
“We are also against Kiev's junta. We do not recognize their authority. It is not legitimate. We stand for the memory of our ancestors fighting alongside Russians. We're all Slavs. We are one nation. We do not have heroes such as Bandera and Shukhevych. We are against these people because they are destroying our history,” one of the protesters said during the second day of the strike. Hmm... Should Bitcoin miners show solidarity.

IMF approved a 17 billion dollar credit to Ukraine. The country has officially been enslaved. International Monetary Fund staff endorsed a $17 billion loan to Ukraine to help the government pay its debts amid a projected economic contraction of 5 percent this year, according to government officials who have seen the recommendations. They are just giving loans, not the subsidies which were given by Russia. They will have to pay this money back in a short time duration. Effectively, the IMF has re-structured the Ukrainian debt, without giving them a penny.

Well... The most well known issues:
$2.2 billion gas debt for last year; $3 billion obligations debt (+ interest).
And don't forget about $11 billion debt introduced by denunciation of Kharkiv pact.

I'd try to refrain from spreading rumors about killed and wounded because in the past some of these reports later turned out to be false or exaggerated.

Those are not rumours per se, that is the statement from the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs. But seeing the coup nature of the government in Kiev, them might be classified as rumours. "B xoдe aнтитeppopиcтичecкoй oпepaции пoдpaздeлeниями MBД и Mинoбopoны дeблoкиpoвaны и yничтoжeны тpи блoкпocтa нeзaкoнныx вoopyжeнныx фopмиpoвaний в ceвepo-вocтoчнoй чacти Cлaвянcкa. Cмoтpитe opигинaл мaтepиaлa нa http://www.interfax.ru/world/373616They, of course, call people manning the block posts for terrorists, forgetting that they came to power in Kiev by the means of block posts.

It is confirmed by both sides, and the protesters have already released the list containing the names of the deceased and the wounded. The fighting was one-sided with no casualties reported among the military forces.

you should rename this thread "Meanwhile in Ukraine... Dissolution" instead of that meaningless "Revolution" term.

Looks like Kiev has sent pretty determined units which aren't going to turn around after the first contact with rebels. I don't see how pro-Russian groups expect to defend what they've got without showing some active resistance.

I still find it shocking that basically this thread has turned into a complete pro-Russian propaganda machine. I am not saying either side is fully innocent here but I am pretty disturbed that every time I view the updates on this thread it's just more of the same with no one really defending the Ukrainian and/or US/Europe positions.

no one really defending the Ukrainian and/or US/Europe positions.
It's because US/EU/Junta don't have any point of view. They didn't expect such outcome of their actions, and don't know what to do. All they're doing is attempting to save remainings of reputation and get out of the shit that they've created. Yep, our world is simple enough.
