ATTENTION !

Bitcoin addresses of all users were removed by me in order to implement new system for enhanced security.
Additional details will be available shortly.

I found that someone changed bitcoin addresses of some users. I'm not sure how the attacker got passwords, but now you'll have to use e-mail confirmation for changing your wallet address.
I'm very sorry that I haven't implemented this feature earlier, so your stolen bitcoins will be reimbursed.
(Please note: I can't garantee that I can do such reimbursment in the future).

Your money is safe and i'll give instructions on setting your address again. Please wait.

A total of ~150 BTC were stolen: 136 from this user: http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=8281.0 and ~14 BTC from others.

Welcome to my bitcoin mining pool: https://deepbit.net - Both payment schemes (including PPS), instant payout, no invalid blocks !
ICBIT Trading platform : USD/BTC futures trading, Bitcoin difficulty futures (NEW!). Third year in bitcoin business.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he meant that reimbursement was a very honorable thing to do [Tycho].

Remember, they had "reputation" in this forum for awhile?  I don't know why they removed it, but it seems that somebody went nuts and started marking many many people with -1.  I had -3, but I suspect it was in part related to my concerns about deepbit and being vocal about it.  I never did figure out how to set reputation  ... did that come along with something higher than full member?

While I am not currently mining with deepbit (since Thursday), I do switch around from time to time (for various reasons, but I have earned the most coins so far via deepbit).  Thank you as far as that goes.  Also, I am sorry to see what happened to you happen.  You are honorable to say the least and paying out to the people that lost.  I am not sure what your loss is, but I imagine significant.

I saw a post earlier from some guy that had 100+ BTC (I don't remember the actual number) unpaid.  I am curious why anybody would keep 100BTC or more [hell, more than a days worth of work to be honest] in the pool.  Just curious what is up with that.

ok so exactly how will I set my forwarding address? I see the field, will I be receiving a confirmation email sort of thing? also, and this I suppose more for the others in the pool than the pool operator: by experience... its it better for a miner with a slow hash rate (~11/12Mhashes) to use proportional or pps?

At this moment I'm testing this system. When i'll ensure that e-mail is delivered to my test box, i'll deploy it and yes, you will receive a e-mail with a confirmation link. Please wait.

You are unlikely to solve more than a couple shares during a given round at that rate.  The shorter the rounds (the higher the pool hash rate), the lower the hash rate threshold where you will make more using PPS than Proportional.  Frankly, I don't remember my statistics mathematics well enough to tell you how to determine that threshold, but I think it is probably safe to say that you will spend a lot of time working on shares that will never get submitted [due to long polling] and thus waste a significant percentage of your meager work with a hash rate that low [on a pool that large].  I am confident that PPS is the way to go for you.

Nicely working pool. Now that you're ~700 GH/s, what do you think about dropping the huge 10% PPS fee?
it's 7% iirc
deepbit.net, 8695 mhps = 50 coins/day

http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.php
8695 mhps = 21 hours, 31 minutes = 55.77 coins/day

deepbit.net fee ~11%.

The profit doesn't depends on round length at all.
