yes it is fixed now i think . i did not know downloading a torrent would have this behaver.

If you're on DSL or other such internet with super low upload bandwidth, that's what kills it. The downloading not so much. But once you start reseeding a torrent and uploading it also, as your upload speed reaches the ISP's cap it starts throttling the piss out of your total bandwidth. Check your torrent app settings and disable uploads to relieve that issue in the future.

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

-- pit.deepbit.net ping statistics ---
7 packets transmitted, 5 received, 28% packet loss, time 22430ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1372.807/1537.300/1640.728/97.404 ms, pipe 2

Packet loss isn't good.  But 22.4 second latency?!?!?  I have never seen that before!
Sam

Look at it closely. ping was running for 22s, the average rtt was 1.5s (admittedly still high, but that's apparently been resolved).

Anyone else having trouble viewing all their info on their 'MY ACCOUNT' page on deepbit? When I go there I get the news listing on the left and the last few work units in the CENTER (instead of on the right) and all my details are missing (email, balance, send to address, workers, etc). I've tried several different web browsers and the result is the same. All the other pages look correct, it's just the 'MY ACCOUNT' page that's not right.

I got a couple of similar reports, but can't find the cause yet because it looks just like always to me and there were no changes in the page layout recently. I suspected that some browser update broke it, but if you tried different browsers then it's not the case.

UPD: Got a screenshot from one of users, checking it.

UPD2: Looks like it was caused by "<!---->" element on the page. Fixed.

i think i might have a problem. I've been mining on an email account for the past few weeks that I lost. I reinstalled windows thinking I could bring my receiving address with me.... I have 5.02 coins there, I can prove who I am- is there any way I can send those coins to a different address or somehow add the receiving address to my new client? I just made an account for my new email and have switched, I don't wanna lose those coins though....

First try to recover your old e-mail password. Usually most webmail services provide some sort of password recovery function.

I've tried getting back into my old email a bunch of times, all there is for my old email is a hint to what my password is, which I know the answer to.... but somehow the password has been changed so the answer to the question is useless. I mentioned in this thread about my email problem some time ago when I was trying to change my account email but there's no option for switchign emails- but I [stupidly] kept mining with it since I wanted to keep track of my stats, payment history and all that. I didn't think reinstalling my wallet would be a big deal when I reinstalled windows since I had no BTC in it. I stopped mining on my old account, made a new one and started on it just a few minutes after from the same IP address if you can check that and I know the login info for my old deepbit account so I could still log in and mine with it. What can I do to get to these 'stuck' coins?

old account email is: dj_d_bledsoe@myway.com

new account email is: Sannyassi_73@yahoo.com

Do you mean that 5-7 are "lost" of every 250 ?
Which miner do you use ? Is it showing those 250 as "accepted" or 250 not including stale shares ?
Have you tried to wait some minutes to see if the counter will show correct value later ?

Hey,

Is the instant payment working? Haven't mined for a while and decided to get my accumulated coins. First time it said "wait for auto payment" then it said "please wait 2 minutes". Apparently the second is a flood filter, but it means the first request is acknowledged. Though it isn't, since 2 hours later my balance is the same. Same thing happens now.

At this moment the payment system awaits for new batch of bitcoins from cold storage. Sorry for the delay, payments will be resumed very soon. Sometimes this happens when people withdraw more funds than usual (this time, possibly, caused by BTC/USD rate jump).

I'm a noob first of all, so pardon me if what I use to describe this aren't all the way correct. I've registered on deepbit.net already due to a recommendations by someone on a forum I've asked about BitCoin mining and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get set up for DeepBit with GUIMiner.

As mentioned, I'm using GUIMiner and I cannot find what I'm supposed to put in GUIMiner for: Server, Host, Port, Username, and Password.

Any extra flags that would be worthwhile would also be a help, I'm running 2x 5870's. I already have (-v -w 128 -f 1) is this okay?

Can someone break it down Barney style for me please? (Maybe it would be a good idea to put a noob guide on the website?)
