Dash’s Expansion Into the Serbian IT WorldAs with most digital currencies, Dash has relatively strong adoption and use in first world regions of the world, particularly in Western Europe and parts of the United States. In less developed areas however, for example Eastern Europe, market saturation is nowhere near as advanced at present. Dash Ambassador Nebojsa Jovic recently submitted a proposal to introduce Dash to the Serbian IT sector. The proposal passed, guaranteeing an on-the-ground initiative to address challenges in this area. Dash Force News spoke with Jovic about prospects and barriers for Dash adoption in Eastern Europe. https://www.dashforcenews.com/dashs-expansion-serbian-world/

[low quality, zero information price speculation] This thread is for discussions related to the Dash protocol, network, community, Instamine, ATM/debit card fiascos, Howey-test triggering centralization, Evan's secret transaction-reversing "spork" backdoor, InstandSend failure/coverup, etc. but it is explicitly *not* for worthless, generic Price Update and Moon/Doom posts that would get you Banhammered from the Polo trollbox. Dash-Funded Kuva Project to Bring Dash for Cash to ZimbabweThe Kuva Project, an initiative to bring easy cash for Dash exchange to Zimbabwe, has been funded by the Dash network. Zimbabwe has undergone a serious cash crisis, with hyperinflation leading to the collapse of the national currency, and a resulting underground market for US dollar notes. The Kuva proposal goes into further detail about the gravity of these issues: https://www.dashforcenews.com/dash-funded-kuva-project-bring-dash-cash-zimbabwe/

Commerce 101: Chip or Tap the swipe is almost goneI live out in the woods near a small town. I don’t spend much time in “the big city” which puts me behind on many current trends in the “real” world. The credit union where I bank doesn’t offer chip cards but I do have one from Amazon. After spending a week in London I have now seen the total domination of the chip card. Everywhere we went it was chip or tap only – my swipe card didn’t work except at the ATM. While I have seen the “tap here” or Apple Pay symbol in a lot of stores I had never seen anyone use it in my local area. In London I saw it used a number of times – the person tapped their phone on the small portable POS terminals that were in every bar or restaurant I visited... https://www.dashforcenews.com/commerce-101-chip-tap-swipe-almost-gone/

https://www.coindesk.com/dash-price-edges-300-rally-lose-steam/ With a rally in bitcoin pushing up the wider cryptocurrency asset class, dash is back above $300.
At press time, the dash-US dollar (DASH/USD) exchange rate is down over the last week (as expected) falling to $285 on October 3; its lowest level since September 17. The cryptocurrency is now trading at $306; down 1.6 percent in the last 24 hours as per CoinMarketCap.
Yet, the sell-off seen over the last week serves to highlight a peculiarity of the cryptocurrency – that is proving somewhat disconnected with the broader market. For example, while bitcoin remained strongly bid over the weekend, dash suffered losses.
One possible explanation for the behavior, however, is that the market is becoming more conscious that dash is seeking to compete with bitcoin as a payment network focused on consumer transactions.
As the bitcoin blockchain has hung tightly to limitations on network storage (see: the scaling debate), other blockchains, dash included, are seeking to compete. At press time, the average dash transaction fee was $0.02, or about $1.50 at current prices.
Larger debates about blockchain mechanics aside, dash could remain well bid above $300, and any signs that this value proposition is strengthening could potentially lead it to act as a viable bitcoin hedge. However, the price action analysis suggests, the uptick in dash could run out of steam around $320 levels.
Interesting (possible) explanation. Also to any Dash whale reading this (eh, Icey excluded) : best way to respond to this article and provoke a new Coindesk article is a swift price increase to the $373 level

whats the update
Here's the update. -InstantSend is still disabled despite the Aug announcement of an "imminent" fix that was "already QA'd" (note use of past tense) -Multisig was disabled long ago but that extremely pertinent fact was kept hidden, resulting in a Budget Proposal being screwed up (LMAO yet another ATM fiasco ) and causing cascading failures with other Proposals -the embarrassing fact that new Dash cannot be put into multisig makes clear the point that Dash's supposed "distributed governance by blockchain" is mere theater (kind of hard to distribute governance when you can't even put funds into multisig LMFAO) -PrivateSend does not have a $100k bounty for being broken; all the DashHoles on here saying otherwise need to STFU & apologize -IPv6 is still broken -Masternodes are still not blinded and thus remain free to act in malicious collusion, thereby precluding zero confirmation tx for fear of double spends -Evan and his Secret Sporkers (IE wife and lawyer) are in complete control of the network thanks to their "spork" backdoor to all Masternodes -Dash price is hitting >month lows, despite the MaxCoin and DashCon hype cycle peaking -still no Dash warrant canary, probably because to keep his ginger ass out of prison Evan gave the FBI and DEA 100s of instamined Masternodes man...your awesome! really. we can all count on you and trollero clowns to keep us up to date. I think you should be up for a couple of awards...the Nobel Peace price for your tireless work to try and save humanity from your perceived DASH issues as it continues to develop. And the second award for comedian of the year. Bravo. LOL....can't wait till 12.2 is out of test net for ya. 12.2 will at most fix InstantSend. That's nice. But then there's the rest of Dash's issues (Dash needs extra airplane just to carry its baggage). 12.2 will not fix Dash's broken Multisig (the basic building block of decentralized risk/trust/governance). 12.2 will not fix Dash's broken IPv6 (leaving the Dash network less diverse/diffuse/defensible/resilient) 12.2 will not blind Dash's broken Masternodes (something promised years ago and put off for the same of various vaporware) 12.2 will not fix Dash's broken 100% centralization of Evan and his Spork Spooks using their backdoor to control the Masternode network like so many overpayed herders of overpriced bots 12.2 will not fix the crashing Dash price as PIVX eats your lunch 12.2 will not fix Dash Core's mysterious (*cough* RED FLAG! *cough*) refusal to implement the industry best practice of warrant canaries 12.2 will not fix the crashing Dash price as PIVX eats your lunch Remember : This thread is for discussions related to the Dash protocol, network, community, Instamine, ATM/debit card fiascos, Howey-test triggering centralization, Evan's secret transaction-reversing "spork" backdoor, InstandSend failure/coverup, etc. but it is explicitly *not* for worthless, generic Price Update and Moon/Doom posts that would get you Banhammered from the Polo trollbox.

Every coin almost was doing the same as dash.. does that mean every coin of top 100 are being viewed as threats to btc amd thus are sold off purposefully? Lol load of garbage with rose colored goggles.

Venezuelan Government Considering Cryptocurrency As Local Dash Conferences Gain Steam The Venezuelan government is considering leveraging blockchain technology to improve the country’s financial situation.
As reported by Criptonoticias, this week the Central Bank of Venezuela met with several experts in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency to discuss their impact in improving the Venezuelan economy. This was in particular to address issues related to the devaluation of the bolivar and foreign currency exchange issues, made worse by new regulations imposed by the United States.
An exchange and cash crisis have caused government to consider desperate measures
