Thanks for staying in touch with us, PEACEOFWAR. We wish your wife a speedy recovery. Please let us know if we can be of help in some ways.

Thanks for posting a rather comprehensive write-up on depression. You certainly have a much better insight on this subject than most of us. It is a very complex issue with no permanent solution or cure in sight. What I do believe is that if we all can contribute a little to make this world a little less depressing, it will help. I am personally committed to do everything I can, using DNotes as the vehicle to deliver that little help at every opportunity we can. DNotes’ shared stake concept is the foundation of that philosophy. It is about sharing and caring. It is about giving the most people a chance towards financial freedom, no matter where they are, or what form on government they are subjected to. It must begin with trustworthiness, and like respect, it earned over time.

Entering to Mintpal kills every coin. You will have to keep your finger on the trigger (to be faster than upcoming mega dump).

This reminds me of one of my previous quotes “if you are a little mouse, don’t dance with an elephant.”  http://finance.yahoo.com/news/cryptocurrency-dnotes-block-reward-reduce-080300040.html

This will be a real test for DNotes. If we are truly trustworthy and in it for the long-term, we will survive that test and come out stronger. My money is on the side of the confidence and steadfast commitment of our stake holders. The verdict will be out in less than a week.

I cannot predict what will happen if we are accepted on Mintpal in the short term, but I can say with a fair amount of certainty that being listed on Mintpal will be good for DNotes long term growth.

If everyone is expecting a dump, then the current price on the other exchanges should reflect that, after all no intelligent person is going to overpay for anything that they think is going to go down next week.  There may be a few bumps, but I also feel certain that the long term outlook is very good.

The market will always find the "right price". DNotes was designed for consistent, incremental increase in value, which will make it the coin of choice for storing value, AND merchant adoption. It is not made for drastic increases OR decreases. Quite different than your normal, average coin.

Usually there should be little pump on Sunday/Monday and drop before entering to the Mintpal . But we will see what happen.

DNotes is quite different from any other Cryptocurrency. It wouldn`t be a surprise if we continue to see the same gradual price increase long after its Mintpal debut.

One day, when my Dnotes are worth more than 1 million dollars, I will fly to Chicago just to shake your (and dev teams) hands, and to holiday of course. I'm currently having lots of fun learning the ins and outs of programming apps in C# - which has kept me very busy at uni! Perhaps I will code some awesome apps for digital currency in the near future - who knows?

In other news, has anybody taken note of Ecuador implementing a 'government backed' digital currency?

http://www.coindesk.com/ecuador-bans-bitcoin-legislative-vote/

It is the worst possible idea to attempt to quell the use of all digital currencies bar the government backed one. I think it is great in terms of digital currency exposure, and will actually propel adoption in the west with western nations taking note of how effective this 'ban' on alternative currencies turns out (good luck!). Ecuador has massive hyperinflation issues in the late 90's / early 2000's from printing too much money. This basically meant that Ecuador was forced to adopt the US currency for stability purposes. The problem with this is that all currency in circulation in Ecuador is created by decree of another nations leaders; Ecuador is at the mercy of the US central bank. It also means that Ecuador is unable to issue more money itself into circulation, as an alternative to raising taxes - a common preference among governments. This switch to digital currency that can be 'managed' is a clever ploy on their behalf to implement a currency that they can: control the value of, print more of, and return to 'monetary policy' with (use interest rates to control the economy through costs of lending). The monetary policy is preferable to Ecuador's current only option in 'fiscal policy' - where the government can spend more money in an attempt to spur 'growth', going into debt in the process. This debt can not be paid off via 'Quantitative Easing' (government lingo for counterfeiting currency) since that responsibility lies with the US government. I'm not sure how I feel about digital currency being used to gain 'more control' haha, but I highly doubt it will work the way its implementation is intended.

Regardless, having an entire country using digital currency will be very interesting to watch, and will provide incredibly valuable research data!

My latest assignment is due this friday Dyna, and I have a 2 week 'uni break' coming up soon, so definitely will have a nice and lengthy personal message for you then! Nice work on Mintpal people.

Thanks for visiting us. We will be delighted to give you a big welcome when your DNotes is valuable enough to pay for your trip to Chicago and still leave you enough to be a millionaire.  We love entertaining DNotes’ supporters and have already done that a few times. Our lead developer is from the Chicago area. The rest of our team is from Indiana and Michigan. I am sure they will be very happy to join the party. Hopefully, by then you can show off you new app for digital currency. Our lead developer is an accomplished programmer with a master degree in computer science and a MBA from a top business school. We have quite a team.

Thanks for all the research you have been doing for us. Hope I have not given you too many home work assignments. I do appreciate your contributions very much.

We are aware of Ecuador’s plan to release its own digital currency. Bad idea. I did a cut and past for your easy reference:

Is anyone following Ecuador's plan to release it's own digital currency in the fall?  It sound like they are doing it for all the wrong reasons - check this out:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-08-05/bitcoin-like-money-is-ecuador-s-dollar-saving-plan.html

They are centralizing a decentralized entity. They are only doing it to gain control before other crypto currencies take over. Be interesting to see what happens to their govt controlled currency of record, the US Dollar...

DYNA’s Comments:

This is quite clearly a desperate move by a desperate government, and it wouldn’t be the last.  There is a serious misunderstanding on how the value of a crypto currency is established and the critical importance of sustainable value stability of the currency. Any attempts by a government to manufacture Crypto currency value out of thin air will not do much better than many of the scam coins we know of today. By definition, a given crypto currency is a global decentralized currency owned by a community of stake holders. It is not owned by an individual, an entity, a company, a state or a government. Some may think otherwise. When they do, they fail. For example, one DNotes is worth .00001 Bitcoin today, because the last buyer actually bought it at that price.

The true value of the currency is what the other party would agree to as a medium of exchange and not because Ecuador’s government told you so. If Ecuador’s government has a serious debt problem today using fiat currency, their financial problems will be compounded by switching over to include crypto currency, even in part, because by comparison, crypto moves at the speed of light verses a truck load a fiat currency by a slow moving train. Backed by “liquid assets” will quickly becomes meaningless, because they currently do not have enough of it, or they wouldn’t have a debt problem. Maintaining stability will be a nightmare resulting in serious liquidity and a bank run like the spread of a wild fire.

If I'm not mistaken, DNotes is already on 5 exchanges, MintPal is really not that much different from the rest. This coin has not seen much P & D activity for several reasons:

1. It is not designed to fail. By that I mean it is designed and purposed to be a long term player not a quick "in and out" for immediate profit.
2. The folks who hold DNotes now represent a large, solid base of investment, a "heatsink" if you will, that helps to stabilize the value over time.
3. There are plenty of "kiddiecoins" out there that will provide a better P & D ratio in the short term which is what the whales are looking for.

Yes, we may see some more fluctuation than we are used to seeing at first but, it's a "right of passage", not a reason to worry. I will continue to mine/purchase/accumulate DNotes as a long term investment no matter what goes down on MintPal. The most important thing in investing is patience. A wise, old but brilliant, friend of mine once said about investing, "Buy it and forget it. When you remember you own it, you will be pleased..."

Those are very good points. DNotes is a poor candidate for P & D. There are many better choices. To have a big dump one must first acquire a big stash at a significantly lower price. I monitor many data points on a regular basis and have not detected any activities of accumulation before a big dump. By design, DNotes is positioned very differently. Among many things which we have shared with you in this forum, are our anchor stake holders. You may call them the good whales, consistently buying at the right price verse selling for short-term gain. They are still waiting for a new higher low of 750 sat. We shot right through it, indicating that DNotes has been significantly under valued. The new higher low is 850 sat. Strong buying support can be expected should the price pull back to this level.  Long term investors should study our trend line very carefully. DNotes is still consistently on an uptrend. Betting that just because many other coins failed following their listing on Mintpal will be enough for DNotes to reverse course may turn out to be your worse investment judgments. When a stock is on an up trend, jumping in and out will cause you to end up owning less and less. Each time you want to get back in you are buying less than what you previously owned, given the same amount of initial investment. By definition, you are not a long term investor. You are a short term trader. That is perfectly fine, if that is your preferred strategy.

Supporting our community and our stake holders is our highest priority. Our community may not be the most active in posting on this forum but I have the feeling that a large number of them visit this forum on a regular basis. Personally, I love to see more participation. Ask questions, share your crypto experience with us, and let us know what you like or don’t about DNotes. And by the way, don’t forget to support Cryptomoms too. This site has been building quality contents and I have used valuable information gained from this site a number of times.

The overwhelming lead DNotes has taken, over our closest competitor, is impressive. Great job!

One of the beauties of free market is that we can sell our property (DNotes) at any price we want. You can also give some away, which I know many of us have done. This makes it nearly impossible to predict with a high degree of certainty how DNotes will perform over the short term after being listed on Mintpal. In short, it depends on our stake holders’ sentiments.

What I can tell you is that, been listed on Mintpal by September 15, 2014 is part of our strategic plan. DNotes follows a systematic strategic plan executed at the most opportune time. Rain or shine next week, being added to Mintpal Exchange is just like adding the next building block to our structure. We prefer some nice days, but that is not our call. However, we do plan for some challenging days. Certain things are beyond our control.

Over the longer term making DNotes widely available is essential to our success. It improves liquidity and creates an increase demand with a constant limited supply. This, along with everything else we are working on, will make DNotes more popular, thereby making it more valuable.
