I was thinking the same this morning then i re-read. The last post did say to give them a couple of weeks, that was just under a week ago. I think we've already established that Octo was never a P&D coin, therefore to be something of worth going forwards there must surely be a use-case and value driven by utility? If we're to believe we're only a short while away from some major release then surely an indication of what the utility is wouldn't harm any plans? if it's so fragile that leaking such information ahead of an imminent (within a few weeks) release will jeapordise the whole project then surely it's worth nothing but hyperbole anyway? I have been here since day 1 and I'm still sat on a huge pot of 888 but I lost the faith that it will ever amount to anything 3-4 weeks ago if I'm honest. I'm simply holding because the alternative is just too depressing to contemplate. The way things are I think I'll be out of crypto entirely within a week or two with back-ups of existing wallets just in case, it's been a fun 12 months but ultimately futile. Too many scams and too many kids, which makes Octo's demise even more of a shame as it seemed for a while to offer a refreshing alternative.

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time. Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

I still believe the devs will come through and WOW us in the next few weeks though. I'm gonna keep the faith, and my gut tells me these guys are the real deal, but I'm done buying Octo for now, and I'm putting it offline for the foreseeable future. Good luck to everyone.

...my gut tells me these guys are the real deal...
Mine too. And the devs last update was really solid… … but good messages in this forum has never been their issue. So now, more than ever, it’s time for them to come through on what they’ve said. They used words like “a couple weeks” and “urgent” need to release things. I really hope they live up to what they’ve been saying, both from the beginning, and in their most recent message.

It all has its good side. Beeing an undergraduate and having spent all my money (like an idiot) on octo, expecting a good profit (also shortterm), i realized that i would make a huge loss instead. So i was forced to find a job in my vacations and i started working for a big company to get the money i needed to pay the bills. I worked a bit too hard so now after 3 months i climbed up in the positions and got already a team of 4 guys working for me. So now i have a brilliant job AND my octos. Life's funny sometimes Only thing that will be hard to break is the 2,500,000 sellwall.

Life's funny sometimes Only thing that will be hard to break is the 2,500,000 sellwall. Job well done! The sell wall might evaporate when apps come, it's value is almost certainly higher than 1111 and the whale will recognise that when the apps are in the wild. We also piled a load into Octo, It's almost all we mined with our ASICS and now we could do with our ROI. The time is approaching for Octocoin to shine and I'm confident we'll all get something from our invested time and money. And in other news we've had a bit of the bad variety regarding our Chalices. The artist we were talking with works for a company with all the necessary tools to make our glasses (hence the prototypes) but their official quote is above and beyond our original guide from the artist, they want a full commercial rate. As a result we're talking £200 a glass to produce. (We're guessing no-one wants to part with 175,000 888 per glass plus postage and giving us no profit). So what we're going to do is keep the idea on the table and have them available at a fiat price of £250 +p&p (many cryptos also accepted) and have a first come first served reserved list for up to 5 to be made. Hopefully this will be the best option for when Octo matures. We're still working with etched glasses... They may be cheap and cool enough to buy up if you have a few hundred thousand octos lying about.

When you think about how much time BTC needed to be established this here is only a very little piece of time. And even if the price won't climb up like a rocket in the beginning, i think we will have a lot of fun with the cool apps beeing released. And they will be released definitely.

Does anyone know the price on that 2,500,000 888 sell order? I can't view the entire order book on Bittrex.

it's at 0.00001111 with a total of 28.5973 BTC. But I don't think Octo will reach 0.00001 soon...if ever.

Yeh, where is he now though? He who is patient all his life might be waiting for something that's not coming me, 2nd September 2014, tongue firmly in cheek, gallows humour. In all sincerity though I do hope it's coming, I mean there'd have been no point the devs coming through with an update a week ago if it was dead and buried. right?

All it will take is a $15,000 investment to buy up to and blow past 1111 sat. But if that were to happen, lack of liquidity may be a concern, and the price could crash due to the absence buy support.

I do think we'll see all their hard work some time this month. When you really think about it, why would the devs keep dragging this on if it was just vaporware? How would they benefit from 6 months of nothing? I'm pretty sure they haven't sold any Octo, and they are still mining Octo since day one according to bholzer. There is no reason for them to keep posting updates if it was dead.

I sometimes wonder, what kind of services OctoHub is going to provide. It's a nice spinning wheel, but I can't figure out the meaning of all the icons...well...the gambling icon is pretty obvious EDIT: The sourcecode says: <meta name="keywords" content="cryptocurrency, crowdfunding, octocoin, cloud banking, gaming, security, business services, advertising, virtual currency, bitcoin, collaboration" />

if the octocoin price just wasn't so susceptible to messages in here... however, there's a lot of other things careful research would disclose
EDIT: and the big sell orders purpose is solely a psychological one i believe..
