I am honestly surprised because I didn't think IPL actually made that much in 2020. And even though that yaar IPL had to be canceled, IPL made those numbers.

I am actually not surprised by those numbers since the pandemic helped IPL 2020 in a big way despite all the issues which is why BCCI raked in big bucks even though there were very few spectators.

You know, IPL generated really good numbers in spite of the pandemic situation. I think the numbers are only going to be on the rise in the future.
And also the heavier the pockets will be of the BCCI. But I also think that Talent-Hunt is really good through the IPL and a lot of young players will also emerge from the IPL.

I am only waiting for the mega media right auction which should happen anytime this month. A staggering amount of INR 35k to 40k crores  is expected by BCCI which is almost 150% of the last value rights. Many big companies will be participating in this auction. Dates haven't been announced yet but this will surely increase the profit of IPL to a great extent.

I guess the amount will be even higher. You are talking about an amount of around $5 billion. But I am sure that it will cross $10 billion. Look at what happened during the auction for the two new teams. The BCCI received almost $1.7 billion in the end, compared to the initial estimates of $700-1,000 million. There is a lot of demand from several big players and only one can win the bid. Disney+Hotstar is the no.1 bidder as far as I understood (they won the bid for 2017-21 by paying an amount of ₹16,347.50 crore or $2,178 million).  

Apart from Disney-Star, others on fray are Viacom18, Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Networks India.

Peshawar have won the match, but this happened after strong fight from Islamabad United scoring 196 runs. From the beginning of the innings Islamabad kept the run rate, in between it got little disturbed. The same made Islamabad loss the match. In the last over Islamabad required 22 runs to win the match. The tail end batsmen managed to score 11 runs from the bowling of Ben Cutting.

We saw some entertaining bating from Azam Khan and Muhammad Harris both contributed there part to respective team but it was Harris 70 that took Peshawar to victory. Ravi Bishnoi is a very aggressive spinner somewhat like Anil kumble. This bowling combination of Bishnoi and Chahal was one of the reason for the last match win. Kohli has been out of form and I am not expecting a lot from him in this match too.

Sri Lanka  VS  Australia

In the fourth T20 match between Sri Lanka and Australia, after winning the toss, Australia captain Aaron Finch decided to bowl. The Australian bowler bowled well in the death over. As a result, the Sri Lankan players could not give a very big target. Sri Lanka scored 139 runs in 20 overs. The Australian players are in good form now. They have won the first three matches. They will win this match as usual I think.

I just the final score and found that Lanka had a good start but the late middle order just collapsed. It was 4th straight loss for Lanka.

You mean AUSSIES haven't toured any country or played bilateral series outside there country for last 2 years? I still doubt they will tour Pakistan, at very last minute they will call it off due to security concerns.

Although Karachi kings have lost all the matches in this PSL till now, but today's match between the old rivals Lahore and Karachi is being played today in a high electric environment in Lahore. Regardless of the result (Lahore would probably win), the match is so entertaining to watch. PSL is the only entertainment these days.

I find there is more winning chance for West Indies if there is no further wicket fall. Virat Kohli's performance always play a big role in every match. This time too it is Kohli who had helped India reach 187 runs.

All the waiting is over with today's final match of BPL. Comilla made a very good start. Sunil Narine has performed very well in this match as in the previous match. He was dismissed for 57 off 23 balls. He took 2 wickets with 15 runs in 4 overs. Comilla made a good start but could not play much in the middle. Comilla gave a target of 152 runs in 20 overs. Barisal was also playing very well in the beginning. But their finishing has been much worse. For that Barisal lost to Comilla by only 1 run. I enjoyed the final match of BPL. This match was very exciting. Gayle and Shykat shared a 74-run partnership. Apart from these two batsmen, no other batsman could stay in the crease for long. Although Shakib played well in the entire tournament, he could not bat well in the final. Barisal needed 10 runs in the last over. There was no experienced batsman at the crease. Moreover, the bowlers of Comilla bowled very well and tidy.

Yes India was playing very bad today, especially with their fielding, two dropped catches which almost gave away the game to West Indies, only good thing was that 19th over in which Bhuvi got a wicket and conceded just 4 runs, but even after that in the last over the 2 sixes had me thinking that we might still lose the game but Harshal thankfully managed the win with the slower ones which West Indians aren't really good at playing. I think best part for West Indies was Roston Chase bowling so nicely and the good partnership between Powell and Pooran which almost took WI towards the win unfortunately couldn't complete it. But it was the most competitive match the whole tour so far.

In PSL, karachi Kings finally see a victory after they beat 2nd best team of the tournament aka Lahore Qalandars by 22 runs. KK have to wait for 9 games to see there first ever win of this season.
Just like KK in PSL, WI are looking for there first win of India tour. They are now 2-0 in T20 series, which is not expected as WIndies are top class in T20I.

Australia won the match really comfortably with 6 wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare. Glenn Maxwell was named man of the match for his overall performance. He was 48 not-out in the end.
For Sri Lanka Pathum Nissanka batted well for his 46 runs. But I think the bowling of Jhye Richardson and Ashton Agar took the wind out of Sri Lanka's sail. Rather an easy win for Australia.
