I was not expecting Bangladesh to post 468 runs after they lost 8 wickets for 270 runs, may be the pitch changed drastically after that as Zimbabwe also started strongly and Brendan Taylor is playing an anchor role and looks like he will be scoring a huge century as he is just 20 short of his century and he is in good flow and he is batting as if he owns the ground.

Although Bangladesh's top order batsmen have failed miserably, Zimbabwe's top order batsmen are performing exceptionally well. Zimbabwe scored 219 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets. Really deserves praise. Although Brendan Taylor was out, he was able to add 81 runs to Zimbabwe's scoreboard. The match will be a draw.

I seriously think Zimbabwe needs to play more matches, they lack a lot of experience. Their top order is far better than Bangladesh. I was not expecting a much from them but they did give a good fight.

Zimbabwe shows his class. Zimbabwe produced with a decent start but things turn wrong as they lose 7 quick wickets for just 51 runs. Pitch condition was favorable for fast bowler while Bangladesh was batting in their first innings. Zimbabwean pace bowlers have taken 9 wickets in the 1st innings. But the pitch has turned good for the spin bowlers now. Actually the pitch is behaving as it was reported. Zimbabwe don't have good qualitative spin bowler like Bangladesh. It is a great pitch report as it was batting friend and then the spinners dominated the third day and if the spinners are having this advantage in the three day it is going to be really difficult to bat against the spinners in the last two days and Bangladesh will try to score the runs as quickly as possible as they already have a lead of 237 runs and if they add another hundred runs then they should let Zimbabwe bat .

The collapse from Zimbabwe was shocking. When Brendan Taylor and Takudzwanashe Kaitano were batting, it looked as if they will get to a decent total. But the slide started once Taylor threw away his wicket. Some of the other batsmen also lost their wickets to unwanted shots. Form 176/1, they ended up at 276 all out. It was a very disappointing performance from the Zimbabwe batsmen. The two spinners (Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz) picked up 9 out of the 10 wickets, but poor shot selection from Zimbabwe batsmen was responsible for the debacle.

You cannot expect Zimbabwe to chase a target of 477, the pitch has become favourable for the spinners and it will be easy for Bangladesh spinners to get some easy wickets. It will be tough for Zimbabwe batsmen to stay on the pitch until the end of the day. It is a complete win win situation for the Bangladesh team.

This was a rare opportunity for Zimbabwe to get a very rare test win against one of the teams in the first division of test cricket. But they wasted the chance. At some point of time, the ICC need to ask the question whether it is good for the health of cricket to given them any more chances, while teams such as Nepal and Netherlands doesn't get any.

After Bangladesh mammoth score they had some chance of comeback which they lost after bundling up under 300, still there was some hope of comeback but Bangladeshi top 3 batters batted impressively and went to add 250 + runs more at the scoreboard. 73 overs left in the game and they can still draw the match but of course their batters need to show some backbone.

I don't agree. Bangladesh is already playing tests against top teams regularly, since they are placed in the top division of test cricket. Zimbabwe on the other hand has performed pathetically, despite playing a total of 111 test matches so far. The other countries (such as Ireland, Netherlands and Afghanistan) also deserve the chances that Zimbabwe is getting right now. Opportunities and funding should be directly related to performance. As of now, Afghanistan is performing much better than Zimbabwe, and still the former is receiving only around 1/4th of the funding when compared to the latter.

What is going on with the Bangladesh cricket team? It sounds like almost every senior player has got some issues with the BCB. We all know the case of Shakib al Hasan. He has spats with BCB from time to time and probably that was one of the reasons why he got very harsh punishments in 2014 and 2019 (when he was banned from playing). Sad to hear that Mahmudullah also faced the same issues. Why there is no protest against the BCB, if they are mistreating the players in a regular manner? I am 100% sure that the BCCI would not have the courage to take such actions against their best player.

^^ He's 35 years old and his time was about to come anyway so he did good by taking retirement after such a good performance, which most of the subcontinent players avoid (unless they get drop) so good for Mahmudullah. If Shakib is not good term with BCB then i think his retirement is also coming.
