Now i have a feeling that Virat & co going to make change in the playing XI as rain changed the scenario and toss still pending so there is a good chance of including 1 more pacer in the team, may be Siraj in place of Jadeja-Ashwin.

Are they allowed to do so? Technically the match has started and today is the second day. And also, I don't believe that they will suddenly change the team composition. There is a reserve day for this match, and the match will stretch in to the last day, which means that spinners will have some role to play later. Including Siraj in the place of Jadeja is not something that I would prefer. Because he has rescued the team from many tough situations during the past. If they want to go for the replacement, then I would prefer dropping Ashwin.

Yeah, teams are allowed to make changes before the toss. Normally teams never announce their playing XI too early unless they are confident or sometimes due to tactical decision. Tough choice between Jadeja and Ashwin as both are in great form for quite some time. Jadeja is better batsman so not a bad choice.

India going with 3 seam +2 spin allrounder. On the other hand Kiwis did the obvious 4 front line seamers and 1 seam allrounder.

New Zealand won the toss and asked India to bat and it is going to be a challenge for the batsman and it is good to hear real crowd noise rather than using fake crowd noise  .
The ball is swinging and it has good carry and pace and it is going to be a challenge for the batsman and the Indian openers needs to play carefully.

Shubman Gill should be careful and he just avoided a close run out chance where there is no way they could score a single.

From Indian perspective scorecard is not looking that bad, was nervous about 30s something for 3 lol. So far terrific game of cricket. Indian opener did excellent job but kiwis fought back, although it was kinda obvious because of their skill level. Seam bowlers are asking questions to batsmen but can witness fair amount of foot mark on pitch as well, indian spinners specially Jadeja would love to bowl on 5th day (We got reserve day) even if wicket gets old around 350 ish overs old.

On Rohit i'm not big fan of him when he play against seam or swing but in this match, he really impressed me with his inning even though he failed to convert his inning into big. It seems to me he really worked hard with his technique when playing against the swing. Hope he continues this as next series against England is also very big.

Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane should have produced a partnership and to take India past the 200 run mark. If they can score around 300-350 it will be a very good score on this wicket.

Rahane and Kohli, the two most experienced batsmen in the India squad, are still at the crease. As long as these two batsmen are at the crease, India will be in the safe zone. These two batsmen are one of the two main pillars of India's batting lineup. India lost 3 wickets very quickly but they still have nothing to despair. Hopefully Kohli and Rahane have a long partnership.

The second Test between South Africa and the West Indies is being held. West Indies decided to field after winning the toss. Looks like they made the right decision. Because, South Africa lost their valuable 3 wickets by just 37 runs. I didn't think they would lose 3 wickets so fast. Hopefully Dean Elgar and Kyle Verreyenne, who are now at the crease, will be able to build a good partnership.

Dean Elgar is still in the crease and he is now joined by Quinton de Kock as they lost their 4th wicket and it was a good decision by West Indies to win the toss and electing to field but the problem is that South Africa also have a good bowling unit who could bowl at exceptional pace and test the batsman and how West Indies players are going to handle that determines how this game will end.

After losing 3 wickets very fast on the first day, South Africa managed to score 249 runs with the help of the extraordinary performances of Elgar and de Kock. de Kock is still at the crease. Hopefully he can score a century. I think South Africa will be able to score more than 350 runs.

South Africa was able to recover well but Quinton de Kock missed his century by 4 runs which was unfortunate but 298 runs is a decent score against West Indies and in reply they lost 4 wickets already and Shai Hope is still in the crease along with Jermaine Blackwood  and they need to play a longer innings for them to be competitive in the match.
Disappointing to see that the India and New Zealand match is affected by bad weather, expected a good final but already two days lost and just 64 overs bowled for the day and if it continue like this the most likely result is a draw.

Excellent performance by the South African quicks. The combination of Rabada-Ngidi-Mulder-Nortje did to West Indies what the latter would have done to the other test nations in 1970s and 1980s. South African team really surprises me. They are still able to produce quality quick bowlers, despite losing so many of them to Kolpak. But the batting remains as a concern. Apart from de Kock, most of their batsmen are 30 plus, and they will retire in the next few years. Youngsters such as Keegan Peterson have failed to perform at international level so far.

This match should end up in a draw. We are close to the end of the third day and yet the first Indian innings is still not finished. Unless there is a big collapse in the New Zealand batting which is very unlikely, i don't see any results from this match.

There is a collapse in the Indian batting lineup as they already lost their top and middle order batsman and they are struggling for 186 for the loss of 6 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja along with Ravichandran Ashwin is in the crease. This is the third day but the match can go till the sixth day because they have a reserve day in case there was weather issues and the first day was washed out and hence we can say there is 4 more days left for the match.

It is not available in YouTube, unless you want to watch a pirated link. Here in India, the matches are live on Star Sports 1 HD and online streaming is available on Hotstar. I guess in your country also, you can watch the matches live on Hotstar. I don't know about the subscription plans in your country, but here in India the subscription came free along with the 1-year 4G plan of Reliance Jio.

A total of around 250 would be good, and if the tail enders give proper support to Jadeja, then it may be possible to go beyond that mark.

The tail is exposed and India already lost the 9th wicket and Ravindra Jadeja is still in the crease and all he needs to do is score runs and the last three wickets will not contribute anything as they are typical tail who do not know batting and India scored just 217 runs and the interesting aspect is how New Zealand will tackle the Indian pace bowlers.

Historically, the Indian batsmen (apart from Virat Kohli) had issues against bowlers with a lot of pace and bounce. In this test also that was the case with Kyle Jamieson breaking the backbone of Indian batting. And at the same time, the Indians have performed better against medium pacers and it was not surprising to see de Grandhomme going wicketless after conceding so many runs. I would have still preferred New Zealand to include either Mitchell Santner or Ajaz Patel in the place of de Grandhomme.

Not expected, however Indian bowlers won't let New Zealand easily get this total in these conditions. Since it's very clear extreme conditions to bat. It will be extreme for NZ hitters also. Time will say, whether this is a decent and fair score or not?
