I was not expecting any great effort from the Bangladeshi batters but atleast they could have pretend to fight and not just simply roll over against the Sri Lankans. Anyway there was no importance of this series as its not the part of the WTC except some bilateral commitment between 2 boards and both the teams got the required match practice in these tough times.

I wish if there was a series between Pakistan, Bangladesh and Srilanka. All three of them are equal in terms of performance currently and we could see some exciting matches between the three teams.

Test series? Why would you want one, it takes 2-3 weeks for 2 match test series. You can imagine what would happen if 3 nations playing test cricket with each others back to back. For limited overs cricket we already have Asia cup, which getting delayed but its temporary.

It makes no sense to conduct a trilateral test series. Even if the teams play against each other only once, the entire series is going to take one and half months. On top of that, the revenue generation is going to me much lower when compared to T20 or ODI series. IMO, test series should be purely a bilateral affair and we already have the WTC to rank the teams in this format. Extended global tournaments are just not feasible with the longer format.

Talking about these three teams, what happened to the Asia Cup? The last time we had that tournament was way back in 2018, in the United Arab Emirates. Another edition was scheduled to be held in 2020, but it was postponed due to COVID 19. Initially it was scheduled for June 2021, but from what I am hearing, it is again postponed and may not happen this year. Even the qualifier tournament hasn't completed as of yet. 10-15 years back, it used to be one of the most popular cricket tournaments.  

Covid is not the main reason why the Asia Cup is delayed. It just that india refuses to play in Pakistan for Asia cup. Due to political issues, India cannot come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup and ICC wouldn't like Asia Cup to be played without India.

I thought that this issue was resolved already. The BCCI and the ACC had a deal, under which India would visit Pakistan in case the Asia Cup is held there. But right now the BCCI is more focused on IPL and bilateral tours, and multi-team events may have to wait. Asia Cup was a prestige tournament 10-15 years ago. Now it has lost its prominence. And the ACC itself has lost much of its power. IMO, rather than pampering to the BCCI, they should have gone ahead with the tournament.

@Sithara007 I wasn’t aware there was such a treaty between BCCI and ACC, and even under normal situations I doubt that team India would like to travel to Pakistan and play out there. Furthermore these tournaments are organised to earn revenues, and team India generates highest revenue so how will they go ahead without team India?.

Wasn't aware of any such contract between BCCI and ACC. And i'm failed to understand why ACC, PCB or anyone else expecting India to visit Pakistan when there is clearly shitload amount of bad blood between those in recent times.

Do you have any link to this contract between BCCI and the ACC or any article link confirming this news ?
As long as Narendra Modi is the president for India, don't expect these two nations players (Pak & Ind)  to visit each other country.
On a serious note, You can expect a war between these two countries and not a cricket match.

The same thing which was done in 9/11 attacks to get a excuse to go all in against the "Taliban's". Also its high time that we also test our nuclear weapons to see how well they perform.

Why are talking about war and other non relevant stuff. People are dying in every part of the world because of the pandemic. We had cricket to cope up with the stress. At the moment we do not have anything. Let's think about peace and pray to god that this pandemic gets over soon.

No idea about the war between India and Pakistan but i know they are not friendly countries but when you talk about other things you need to have facts, people died when the fucking terrorist hijacked multiple aeroplane and crashed into buildings and it is not a bed time story, no idea from where you are doctrine to have these kind of conspiracy theories that 9/11 is created as an excuse to attack Taliban .
During that period there were attacks in different parts of the world like London, France etc and you think all these countries came together to create a plan to attack other countries .

Everyone is worried about the same as Virat does have a habit of messing up with the combinations. Good thing is Hardik is not part of the squad, he's not bowling since last year and didn't play any test cricket, otherwise you could imagine Virat favoring him instead of other player.

Zimbabwe is just a shadow of their former self two decades ago. Rarely they may become competitive in the ODI or T20 format, but it is too much to expect from them to perform well in the test format. I still don't understand why teams such as Pakistan agrees to play test matches against Zimbabwe. No one really gains from such one sided matches. Apart from Brendan Taylor and Blessing Muzarabani, there are no other players capable of playing in the test format within the Zimbabwe squad.

I too wish there is peace everywhere and pandemic also ends so we could resume to normal activities including the sporting n cricketing events.

Pakistani is unpredictable in the shorter format of the game. I don't think they will loose the test match against Zimbabwe. You might lose you bet this time.

For the last 10-15 years, Zimbabwe hasn't produced enough quality talent, to make up for the loss of their white players who have emigrated to countries such as England and Australia. Zimbabwe is just like a patient on ventilator, who is being kept alive in the form of annual funds form the ICC. When the funds from ICC cease to arrive, the cricket in Zimbabwe will die out.

Pakistan is in a very strong position now 353/7 is a good score against Zimbabwe. You have to expect the Pakistan team to win this match. Zimbabwe is not that good with Test cricket for an obvious reason and that is they have not played a lot of test cricket with good teams. This match will be an experience for Zimbabwe.

This is like a warm up test series for Pakistan. They are playing with a week team but it will help them to gain some experience. Pakistani batsman and bowler can increase their skill from this series. Unexpected thing may also happens at this kind of match. But the situation is out of control for Zimbabwe now. After the end of second session of day 2, Pakistani batsman have scored 505 runs till now. Abid Ali scored 215 runs and Nauman Ali is only 7 run away from his first test century. They are trying to make some quick runs now. There would be nothing to surprise if Pakistan win this test by an innings like the previous one.
