What if the final between NZ and England ends up in a draw ? Do we have something like super over to decide the winner or give each team one more innings etc. I really would not want that the final is declared as a draw and both team share the title.

New Zealand is in great form. Although India is a good team, the results of their Test match against New Zealand are not good. India have performed well enough in the last few Tests against strong opponents like Australia and England. বুট, I don't think they will be able to do the same against New Zealand. I think New Zealand will win.

Betting odds are pretty same for both team at bookmakers but I will keep New Zealand ahead for the trophy. Final will be played in Southampton city of England. India will play at a different weather condition. Where New Zealand will stay ahead as they are playing two match before the final in England condition. Though a lot of thing will depend on the final squad of each team and on the ground.

There is no doubt it is going to be a great contest between India and New Zealand and the way in which New Zealand is performing in England right now it is going to be a tough match and India will be confident about their performance abroad as well because they were able to perform exceptionally well and won series when no one was expecting even without a full team. If the Indian batsmen are able to perform then India have the bowlers to trouble any team.

New Zealand also has a good bowling line up and if you look at the match between England and New Zealand they were able to trouble the English players in their home ground and they have a good swing and pace bowling combinations and it is not going to be easy for India as New Zealand is already playing matches here and India is directly playing the WTC finals and i do not know whether they will be playing any other team before the finals in England to get familiar with the ground situation.

Both the teams are in good form, the test match that is being played at the moment will help New Zealand keep up the form as the match against India falls next to the ongoing series. India has already marked a win against two giants, but this time the climatic conditions might affect them a little. In most of the New Zealand tour India used to experience hard situation due to the varied climate. This time the match is being played on England, so there is 50-50 chance for both the teams.

India usually struggles in New Zealand conditions but i doubt whether the present team has toured them yet and if they did they could change that history as well and the match is taking place in England and India has won matches here and it is not a huge deal as India is winning more matches outside the subcontinent for a long time and i am expecting a good battle between the two teams.

There is no doubt it is going to be a great contest between India and New Zealand and the way in which New Zealand is performing in England right now it is going to be a tough match and India will be confident about their performance abroad as well because they were able to perform exceptionally well and won series when no one was expecting even without a full team. If India manage to win the finals then i would never bitch about Shashtri and also would never moan if kohli failed to win T-20 WC or IPL trophy.

New Zealand players are working hard on the other side, playing the test series against England as preparation. It needs to be seen how the pitch will be prepared. ICC has more to gain, if India performs better. So in all probability, they will prepare a flat surface with some assistance to the spinners. That will take the venom out of the much feared Kiwi pace attack, comprising of Jamieson, Southee, Boult and Wagner.

Very much possible but don't forget this is a long tour and after the finals they are playing with the England so overall its 3 month tour for them.

IMO Its Kinda bizarre to think that ICC would prepare pitch favorable to any team, let alone India. If that was the case then every wc final would be between India vs Pakistan.

I can't comment on the pitch condition but I can say that England will be having favourable conditions as they are playing at home.

Sometimes players also need to enjoy and relax.

Even WACA and Kingsmead have now become batsmen friendly. In the end, it is always down to the financial considerations. A bowler friendly pitch means that the test match will be over in 3 days and the TV broadcasters may remain unhappy.

However, cricket boards will definitely look at their financial gain and please the broadcasters.

A few days ago we saw the Test matches in Sri Lanka. All the pitches have helped the batsmen and the batsmen of both the teams have collected a lot of runs. The matches were complete without any excitement. If they make a bowler-friendly pitch, the match may end in 3 days, the broadcasters may be dissatisfied, but it will be exciting for the general audience. However, cricket boards will definitely look at their financial gain and please the broadcasters.

Those matches were just horrible. It was hard even to watch 10-15 minutes live on TV. The players were doing their job as if they need to complete some formality and both the sides were not aiming to win the match. On top of that, there were rain interruptions as well. But still, the TV broadcasters will prefer these matches to those which gets finished in 2-3 days. Because the advertisement slots are sold much before the start of the match. The amount will not be reimbursed if the match turns out to be a boring one. But the amount needs to be reimbursed, in case the match gets finished in two days and the ad can't be shown during the live match.

New Zealand won't be disappointed though. For them, this series will act as practice matches for the WTC final. And the Kiwi players are in very good form, especially Devon Conway, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson. And I am specifically concerned about Jamieson, as he has created a few issues for the Indian batsmen in the past. The only concern for New Zealand should be the poor form of Neil Wagner. I would still say that he is one of the best test bowling options they have. But if his form doesn't improve, then he needs to be replaced with Boult.

I do not remember that series but New Zealand is the only place they are yet to win a Test series if that is the case and if i remember correctly they already won in other countries or atleast drawn the series but i do not remember any good performance in New Zealand but i think the current India team can change that and win the series as they have the bowlers and if there is a support from the batting unit they can win, if not it is going to be  really close matches.

England played smart when they were asked to chase a reasonable total and i initially thought they will go for the win but they played a clam and composed innings rather than at any point of time looked like chasing the total, i thought they should have tried to chase down the total and if they loose wickets could change their plans but i am disappointed that they did not even attempt to do that.
