England's bowlers seem a bit disappointed, Anderson is bowling well, Robinson has taken Kohli's wicket. No other bowler is so successful. The bowlers may have to get back on track today, or England will lose the match. India is performing exceptionally well. Kl Rahul is playing very well if he will scored 200 runs but I am not surprised.

India lost a few quick wickets. They are 283/5 now. And once again it is James Anderson and Ollie Robinson who have taken the wickets. The other two seamers are looking completely out of sorts. And now this is a very good opportunity for England. Two inexperienced batsmen are at the crease, and if they want they can restrict India to less than 350-400.  If they are able to do that, then they will be able to avoid the follow on, and most probably they will be able to save the match with some help from the rain gods.

You think Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are inexperienced batsman, i was not a big fan of Rishabh Pant and his wicket keeping skills but his performance in the Australian tour changed my perspective as his performance was crucial for them to win the series against Australia even with a relatively new team.

In the Test match between Pakistan and West Indies, Pakistan lost all their wickets by scoring only 217 runs in the first innings. But the funny thing is, West Indies lost 2 wickets for 2 runs in just 4 overs of their innings. I thought the West Indies had a chance to win this match. But I forgot that they are too much weak in Test format. It seems that Pakistan will win this match if they will bat well in their 2nd innings.

When Pakistan started the innings, i was so disappointed to see our batsman batting poorly with no plan and technique. The highest scores were Fawad Alam 56 and Faheem Ashraf 44. Rest of the batsmen did not make any contribution. Seeing this performance one can easily judge that Pakistan will lose the match.
However i was surprised to see the West Indies did not took advantage of this but rather got their 2 wickets in 2 runs only making then under pressure. If Pakistan can bowl them under 150 and give them the total of around 300 for the chasing, i think Pakistan have good chances to win this test match.

It was not a very bright idea to go in to the test match with 4 genuine tailenders - Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Three out of these four scored zero runs, and the remaining player scored 8 runs. India simply collapsed from 331/5 to 364 all out. BTW, what England could have done without Anderson? He played this test match despite not being 100% fit.

I never expect much from Indian tail-enders except for a few like Ashwin, Sundar etc which is why I wasn't surprised to see them getting out for ducks and single figures. Also, if Pujara doesn't perform well for the rest of this series, I think he should be replaced.

They would still perform well thanks to bowlers like Robinson, Broad, Wood etc in my opinion.

LOL.. I would rather prefer some of the younger guys. Hanuma Vihari is having a test batting average of just 32, and that is even worse than what Temba Bavuma has in test format. He played a dozen matches for India, thanks to being a favorite of MSK Prasad. But now that spot must go to Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad or Abhimanyu Easwaran.

Oh.. don't worry about the retirement anytime soon. Looking at the ease at which he is bowling, I don't think that he's going to retire before 2030. BTW, no one will be seriously talking about the pace bowling issue with England, once Jofra Archer is back from injury.

The players of Indian team is good, their management is very experienced. They should give the bowlers some batting training so that they can help the team even if they are low in bad times.

England lost two wickets for just 23 runs. Mohammad Siraj has taken two wickets off two balls. Good start for India. If the bowlers can continue their streak, we will definitely see the result in this match, and Team India will win.

You are underestimating England. Even though they lost 2 wickets, they bounced back well and lost a 3rd one after a moderate gap. Root is in fine form and is capable of scoring a century at the rate at which he is scoring.

They have several power hitters remaining due to which they could get close to India's first innings total in a short period in my opinion.

The England cricket board will raise his pay and give him all the facility available and ask him to play for the next 5 years until they find someone to fill his shoes  .

England was able to restrict India for 364 and if not for James Anderson the situation would have been disastrous for England to make a comeback in the match. Joe Root is continuing his form from his last match and as long as he is in the crease they would score par to the Indian scorecard.

India ended the day on a good score and the match depends upon how long the Indian batsman will bat tomorrow and if England could pick up wickets in quick succession then we might see a match at hands, if not another draw.

England has already lost 3 wickets and made 119 runs. They need to make a bigger partnership to stay in the game. Who knows how the pitch will behave on day 3! I'm not expecting the interruption of rain in the game.

Root is playing really well, As the match progresses batting might become a bit difficult as we already saw on day-2, India is bowling with a good plan, the wicket taken by Siraj was taken so intelligently with the fielder placed at an absolutely accurate position for that, I think India has a plan in mind for all the players, I think if India can bowl out England in first two sessions tomorrow, we are too ahead in this match once again, honestly England team doesn't really look in form this time. Burns got a good start but was unfortunate enough to have caught in front stumps by Shami.

Despite the bad start by the west indies batting in their first innings, they still managed to score 227 and still they have 3 wickets in hand. Thanks to their captain Kraigg Brathwaite who score 97 runs and held the innings together.
Now i think the game balance shhited towards West Indies and really the higher they can the lead in this inning, it will help in determine the fate of this match. The match has gone in very interesting stage.

Root is playing decently and he should continue to do the same. The pitch will deteriorate in the coming days but I am more concerned about the rain. I hope the match ends without any rain delays. At the moment India's chance of winning this test is pretty good. Both Shami and Shiraz have been bowling aggressively. India needs to take the wicket of Root, he has the potential to change the match.

Umm Vihari is just 27 yo and played only dozen matches. He's not favorite of anyone, he's in the team because of his domestic numbers which is pretty impressive, almost 55 average. I feel that they didn't tap his potential yet and use him as scapegoat every time, sometime even use and throw. When there is crisis in opening they send him at top order and when everything is calm then poor guy bat at the lower middle order, as low as number 7. He deserve long rope imo, may be prepare him for number 3 or keep him at number 5-6.

For Pujara and Rahane i wouldn't use "Drop" word but they need short break because sometimes these break works.

England still behind so as of now India is marginally ahead of England but this could change because Joe Root is still there, plus English has a strong tail (Sam Curran batting at number . Last time our bowlers wrapped their tail quickly. I'm excepting the same result one more time but there is always possibility of tail wagging.

It looks as if England may avoid the follow on. But the main issue for England is that the weather is looking good, which will give enough time for the Indian pacers to bowl them out two times. They got a good start yesterday, but let's not forget that England is still trailing by 245 runs. And this is a series where England was supposed to win. They narrowly escaped defeat in the first test (thanks to rain interruption) and for the second consecutive match they are performing poorly. As long as Joe Root is there, England would be hopeful.

Lets see how much lead the West Indies team manages to get out of the first innings. Since the Pakistani batsmen's are not in full form, it will be difficult for them so set the big target for WI to chase in the last innings.

West Indies will not be able to collect more than 20/30 runs. I was surprised that West Indies managed to score 251 runs. Brathwait played an innings needed for 97 runs which helped the West Indies to score so many runs. Other than Brathwait and Holder, the other batsmen on the team did not play well.
