For Australia, this might be just another series or country they are touring but for Pakistan, this definitely is a higher pressure series. If they win it not only will they prove their strength as a good test team, other countries too might reconsider the idea of touring Pakistan in the future. A big thing to see will also be the viewership this match gets. An international match after so long for Pakistanis at their home soil. Playing the spin would be the most difficult task for Australia tomorrow obviously. They also will definitely play with 2 full time spinners.

Australia is only touring Pakistan because of there strength as a strong cricketing team. If Pakistan manage to dominate this tour then surely rest of the cricket teams will also tour Pakistan. England and New Zealand are scheduled to tour Pakistan later this year. Pakistan is a safe bet in ODI and T20 but slightly sloppy in Test. Let's see how things went tomorrow.

Less then 12 hours left for this historic test to begin. Skies are very much clear now in Rawalpindi still there is rain prediction on 4th day of test. Pakistan target will be to win the series they are never a good test team so I don't think WTC will be in there minds. Pakistan will be happy to see international cricket finally reviving in there country after 13 years.

No doubt it's a great moment for Pakistan cricket as they are going to host Australia after 24 years with any big team in town after very long time after Sri Lankan attack, but I am not agreed with this statement that they are not thinking about WTC because surely they have very fair chance, and they can win this series and after this they have some busy schedule which can help them for qualifying into final and win as they have few world-class players those can change tables with their abilities and spirited game.

About first test match it's going to be very exciting even most chances we are going to face some trouble with rain in third and fourth day but still very good chance of result with very entertaining cricket from both quality teams.

Finally Cricket is back in Pakistan and the speculation about whether Australia will tour Pakistan or skip in the last moment is basically over and the first match will begin in a few hours and i hope fans are allowed inside the stadiums to watch the match because the cricket world owe it to them because they were not able to watch their team playing live for decades.

They are left with 7 test match ( 3 series). If they want to qualify for the finals without depending on any other team's result then they need minimum 6 wins.

Home - 2 tests against Sri Lanka
Away -  2 against Pakistan and 3 against England

Let's say they successfully beat SL easily at home but they still need to win 4 games against Pak and Eng, which i think would be very tough and really need a miracle because Pakis are no dummy imo. Already said about England, they are dead in WTC and hit the rock bottom. Their trajectory can only go up from here so i believe they will perform okay from now on, at least at home.

Only the series against Pakistan is problematic for them. Else they are in exceptional form and have a good record in England recently. Now coming to Pakistan, although they are very good at home, their team balance is not great at this moment. If all of their regular players are 100% fit, then I still believe that it will be possible for New Zealand to achieve this target. But anymore unexpected loss (such as the one happened against South Africa recently) can put them in a very bad position.

Indian batsman had good starts but they failed to convert that into a big innings.

I think Pakistan has The upper hand in this test match right now because they have scored a good amount of runs at the loss of only one wicket. And if they can survive the first session tomorrow they will be able to score a lot more runs. They have to score really big because they don't have the strength in bowling because of injuries. If Pakistan can score something around 550 its will be enough in my opinion.

As of now Pakistan is in good position to win the match. However once after the first innings of Australia we can get into conclusion on the match results. Pakistan is quite strong with the top order and even by tomorrow morning session the wickets won't fall big. If I'm not wrong Pakistan will declare the innings by the end of day 2. Good decision to bat first after winning the toss.

Today first day of this historic test match between Pakistan and Australia after winning toss having first batting was surprising decision for me because here just 2 teams won after having first inning and 3 draw and 6 lost, so I was also expecting that they will give first batting to visitors, but Babar have other things in mind, and they start batting which was good at the end of first day.

But this is going to be drawn because nothing for bowlers in this pitch and batting is very easy with Australia having services of some of the best batsmen, so they also can do some big runs which is going to be good for them as next two matches are going to be very important most chances this series is going to end with result of 1 - 0 or 1 - 1 because home teams facing some problems with injured bowlers, so they will not take any chance.

Amazing performance from Indian side after having first batting today they completely outclass Sri Lankan bowling with very big total on board 357/6 in just 85 overs, feeling sad for Pant as he deserves this triple figure in this match after having very good batting throughout the day but sadly again can't handle pressure of this nerve's nineteen's.

Today Kohli was playing his 100th test, and I was also very excited about his batting because now it is very long time he is in not good touch and deserve something big on this great occasion, but sadly he also dismisses for just 46 hopefully tomorrow we will watch 450+ from Indian side with this score most chances this match is going to end very quickly because Sri Lankan batting side is not strong enough to handle Indians here in this match, and they can lose this match very quickly as on first day their moral is down with very good batting from quality players.

Surprised with the meek performance from the Australian bowlers. After such an excellent series against England, all of a sudden they looked toothless. And I don't understand why the best performing bowler from that series (Scott Boland) is not in the playing XI. Mitchell Starc has proved again and again that he is inconsistent. Including him in the place of Boland was a controversial decision. I would still support the inclusion of Josh Hazlewood, because his type of bowling is more suited for the subcontinent.
