As per the ICC test ranking, Pakistan is positioned at 6th and Srilanka is at 7th. Both teams at the moment are playing the top 2 teams in test matches. Meanwhile, Srilanka is getting destroyed by India and Pakistan is giving a hard time to Australia. Srilankan cricket has deteriorated gravely after those legends retired. The board need to find talents as soon as possible otherwise they will fall below zimbabwe in the test ranking list and eventually fade away as test playing nation.

Sometime rating not justified all things but still I am really disappointed with Sri Lankan way they lost against India, and they are playing cricket in last few months because once I was sure about them that Sri Lanka could be very competitive team in this game, and we will have some good number of exciting players, but sadly they fail due to their domestic issues and corruption in SLCB. After retirement of few legendary players now they are facing big dilemma and having not suitable replacement which is hurting them and most chances they could be also gone more down like West Indies if they not settle things in positive way.

For Pakistan, they are unpredictable for many years and having some exciting players in their team which helps them for having good fight against top ranked teams even they are also not good in SENA countries but still better than Sri Lanka.

It is good to see Pakistan being competitive against the big-4 nations (helped by the pitch in a big way). But at the same time, teams like Sri Lanka are proving again and again that they are incapable of doing so. I don't really understand the point in allowing Sri Lanka to play test matches against a team like India. The gap is too big, to have a meaningful competition. And after the retirement of star players like Muralitharan, Jayasuriya, Malinga and Sangakkara, Sri Lanka is struggling even against weak teams like Scotland and Oman.

Muralitharan and Jayasuriya left quite early and after there departure responsibility was taken over by Manling, Dilshan, Sangakkara and Jayawardene. The real damage was done when the later 4 left SL at the same time and its SL board fault that they have not prepared replacement of these 4.

Today last day of first test match, and we have nothing special just few peoples waiting for Imam can do second century in his second inning because due to very slow wicket we have only 14 outs in five days, and it's very poor from current test cricket standard they require some better and supportive wickets for next matches which help Pakistani batsmen for better preparation for Australia and England tours as well.

Its a historic day for PCB and cricket in Pakistan that Australia is completing its first test today at Rawalpindi, it took 24 years for Aussies to return back to Pakistan. For Pakistan its a win-win situation, first they are going to draw a match against worlds best test team and secondly its a revival of international cricket in Pakistan.
Good chance for Abdullah Shafique to score its maiden test hundred and that too against Australia.

England is a much better team than the WI side but WI has the advantage here they have not lost against England at home in the test since 2004. Spinners will play a crucial role in this test. The team that wins the toss I think will try to bat first.

Well this test match is an easy easy draw now. We dont see these kind of matches these days as test matches dont even do go to 5th day. As we saw india vs srilanka, india winning within 3 days. And this test match not even 2 innings finished and 4 days are gone. I think I could have last for 2 more days. The pitch is really dead having nothing for the bowlers.

The highest first-wicket partnership in any test match is between GC smith and Mckenzie back in 2008. It's impossible to break this record however every score they put on, they are going to move up in this list.

In current Sri Lankan team's defence, i would say we shouldn't blame them much. They have never won a single test match on Indian soil, yup that's right even likes of Vass, Murli, Sanga, Jayawardene, Desilva, JayaSurya, Ranatunga etc failed to win a single test when playing in India.

Pindi's curator fucked up big time, de-merit and poor rating is about to come very soon from the ICC. I would be very surprise if it doesn't happen.

Most probably we may see this test match ending in a draw. I know this statement looks pre-mature as we have seen only the first day of this first test match. I think that if the pakistan team played so well and managed to lose only one wicket on the first day against the best australian bowling attack, this shows the pitch is very good for batting and its hard to take 40 wickets in 5 days and therefore i would bet on a draw.

In fact, even win probability score states there is a 47% chance of a draw in this test match. Babar Azam remarked that the pitch would be good for scoring runs, after PAK chose to bat first. Pakistan's openers are batting well so far. In this batting-friendly pitch, the Australian bowling attack appears quite faded, with Nathan Lyon the only bowler to take a wicket.

If Pakistan managed to draw this test match, then I am sure it will be a good for Pakistan. Australians are considered as a better test team (of course they are big 3  ). A draw for a big 3 is an insult for themselves. The so called "world best bowling attack" is only able to take only 2 wickets in 1.5 days. That's a shame for Australians and those who are afraid to play with Pakistan (India, NZ, England).

I think its too early to say that and to predict anything. Pakistan is a good team and so is Australia. I think they are scared playing in Pakistan like the NZ who ran away before the start of the series. I have heard something had happened in Peshawar too. Are all the links going to the tour of Aussie team? Pakistani people love cricket but then all their joys are settled in a jiffy when something bad happens in the country. I wish to see an amazing cricket and great sportsman spirit among both the teams.

Don't use the excuse of scariness for the bad performance of the Australians bowling. They are provided with the highest level of security in Paksitan. They have been given the same security protocol which is given to the prime minister of Pakistan.

The question now is when should Pakistan declare the innings? 500 or even more ? We need enough time to bowl them out in the next three days.

Why did NZ team ran away before the start of the series, I read it on internet that Pakistan PM, who himself is a cricketer went to the field himself and assured them that everything is fine even he spoke to NZ PM but they refused to play and went back. I have heard the same rumors in Aussie case, but seem like they are a bit daring to take the stand.

No England player is currently playing well, especially in Tests. They lost the series to Australia. He is going to lose the test again with windis. Allready England's 4 valuable wickets have been out. Now there are 2 more batsmen, they end when they are out. I think they can both bring the game under their control.

Ben Stokes and Bairstow have taken over the responsibility and have partnership of over 50 runs. Root the main batsmen for England gone for just 13 runs. England are too much dependent on Root and there is strong need that rest of top order batting should score some runs to reduce pressure on Root.

In the previous Test series, they could not win any of the 5 matches against Australia. The top order batsmen did not play well against the West Indies either. After winning toss and elected bats first was good decision, but first hour play completely belong to home side with they have done good damage to England 48 runs and 4 wickets, but after these visitors have very good recovery through Bairstow who done his second consecutive century after having at SCG Australia and bring his team back in competition Stokes and Floakes also give some support but Bairstow single handily playing very vital role and now have very good 40 runs partnership with Woakes who is at 13 giving good support to his partner just seven overs remaining in today's play with any first inning score above 300+ is surely going very good for England.

Even after the bad start England have managed to score 250+ runs by the end of day 1 is good. Someone taking responsibility and doing the best to withstand the situation, and today it looks like Baristow the rescuer. Somehow England will manage to score 300+ runs which is quite good for an innings. If England perform well in bowling surely it can restrict West Indies within 250 runs. Then the match can turn towards England.

Well NZ team received some suspicious email that they will be attacked if they play the series in Pakistan. They decided to fly back. It was their own decision or it was influenced by BCCI, the details are not public.
It's their stance and will that they opted for what they think was best for them but they didn't know what was coming afterward. Later everyone told them that they did wrong.

Pakistan got more strong with their verdict and we gave a clear statement that if any country wants to play with us, they need to come and play here. Best security will be granted and  No neutral grounds will be accepted. If Australians had refused this tour, we would not have gone next year to their country.
