The performance of Australia's bowlers was excellent. Nathan Lyon in particular bowled brilliantly. He picked up 5 wickets. Kuhnemaan and Murphy also managed to pick up two wickets each. But Axar Patel and Aswin batted very responsibly. Patel scored 74 runs and Ashwin scored 37 runs. If these two batsmen did not play well, India could not have collected 200 runs. However, if Australia can set a target of more than 300 then they will have a chance of winning. I think India will win if they give a target of less than 300. But like the first match, this match will not be one-sided. This match will be very competitive.

Australia is currently leading by 62 runs. But that lead could have been a lot bigger if Axar Patel and Ashwin were not there for India. Honestly, I am not very interested in test cricket. But this match is keeping my interest because I believe we are going to see a result from this test match. If somehow Australia ends up losing this one, I have to say that they would be throwing away a very good chance.

That's true Axar Patel is a savior for India today who along with Ashwin made this match reasonably good for India who in other case would have lost badly ,  now Australia is on lead and they have plenty of time to collect runs . This is going to be an interesting game for all cricket lovers.

Axar Patel has actually proven to be the next Jadeja for the team now. I am no more afraid of what will happen after Jadeja retires or if he is no fitter because Axar is absolutely ready to take his place. Axar just needs to focus more on his bowling right now. Has to become consistent like Jadeja and more disciplined on his approach. He won't get a lot of chances in the team for sure. Because it's a rare thing that India will play with 3 spinners in the team especially when they play outside the subcontinent. So he will soon have to compete with Jadeja for a spot. So he has to make sure even during that time his form remains good.

Yeap I will also agree with you in this point. Although he is one of the senior among the youngsters, I see him ahead of Jadeja in some formats. Axar Patel's 74-run performance today may have helped India keep Australia close in win probability. And also, the others players   did not perform in batting as well today  and that's why their score wasn't reached to as expected.
Now if they could able to successfully stuck Australia at low score then I think there will be a good chance for winning to them

Australia went into bat in the first innings and managed to accumulate 263 runs for 10 wickets on the scoreboard. After being all out for 263 runs, India went into bat in the second innings. In the second innings, India went into bat and managed to accumulate 262 runs for 10 wickets and Australia lead by one run. In the second innings, Australia came down to bat again and managed to accumulate 61 runs for one wicket in 12 overs.  Hope this match will be a fighting match.

They need to make Australia all out till tomorrow’s lunch time, then only Indian team will get sufficient time to chase. In my opinion India should start the bowling attack with the spinners itself from the start, already India have 3 great spinners, Shreyas Iyer can also spin part time. So a good spin attack can really annoy the Australian batsmen. My bet is on India for this match, still anything can happen. Let’s hope for the best.

India is fortunate to have so many allrounders - Axar, Ashwin and Jadeja. If they can have one pace-bowling allrounder as well (similar to Sourav Ganguly two decades back, or Vijay Shankar or Venkatesh Iyer in the recent past), then they can become almost impossible to defeat when they play in SENA nations as well. But then, the importance of pace has gone down over the years. Now spin and medium pace are preferred, especially due to the proliferation of T20 leagues. Apart from Cameroon Green and Ben Stokes, we don't have too many pace bowling allrounders in international cricket these days.

Just to be remember that, Ravichandran Ashwin, who consider as a bowler in match but played a major role in several international matches for India. He added 37 runs for the team in conditions where some good players could not score runs in this test match. The current scoring trend of both teams address that the score will be lower but that will depend on the dominance of the bowlers. If Australia can be stopped quickly then India team can take the advantage quickly. We can get a better idea after today's condition of the match. If the Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne partnership can be broken quickly, it could be good for India team.

What the blazing hell! Observed Australia packing up for around 61/1 and woke up sometime earlier and felt shocked to see them score 40 more runs while losing around 6 wickets since then.

It's like Australia gave up completely thanks to the crazy spin duo of Ashwin and Jadeja. Wonder how India will manage without these two in the future.

India needs to restrict Australia within 280 runs, if not then they have to taste the defeat. Moreover they need to do it as soon as they can. As including today more 3 days are left. They need to make Australia all out till tomorrow’s lunch time, then only Indian team will get sufficient time to chase. In my opinion India should start the bowling attack with the spinners itself from the start, already India have 3 great spinners, Shreyas Iyer can also spin part time. So a good spin attack can really annoy the Australian batsmen. My bet is on India for this match, still anything can happen. Let’s hope for the best.

Australia played very well on the first day and left behind a team like India and the second match started Australia batting now but doubt Australia can score more than India today but Australia are trying hard enough to beat India. India have played very well in T20s and ODIs, but they are still a bit behind in Test matches to stay on top. But since India have good bowlers and batsmen, they can be expected to control the Test match also

Was Australia's performance good in the first innings? I don't think so. The Indian team lost the seventh wicket for 139 runs. India would have lost all the wickets by 170-180 runs if Australia's bowlers could have done some controlled bowling. But the Australian bowlers cannot do well. And the performance of Australia's batsmen in the second innings was terrible. Australia lost their eighth wicket for 110 runs. And I don't see any chance of Australia winning this match. A target of at least 250+ was required to win against India.
