New Zealand vs India match was stopped for some time due to rain. The game started again as there was no rain for some time. The game started with 29 overs in this 50 overs. But the game was stopped again due to rain. India scored 89 runs in 12.5 overs and lost 1 wicket. This game will resume if the rain goes away and let's see what happens.

I think 89 score in 12.5 overs not a big score. And I think if the game will start again so now the New Zealand will play and New Zealand can chase this score easily according to the previous performance of New Zealand. BTW let see.

Since its 29 overs game now India need to score somewhere around 220 to give there bowlers some chance and test Newzealand batting. But due to continuous rain the match has been called off and it ended without a result. India were in good position, now only one ODI is left and the only option India has is to draw the series

As this match has gone so far, it is impossible to say which team will win. In fact, rain spoils the image of the whole game. But hope the rain stops and enjoy the whole game.

This bilateral tour turning out to be a disaster due to rain.

First, it ruined the T-20 series but it was useless anyway. ODI does have some relevance because of the upcoming 50 overs WC. India would've liked some more game time as they are experimenting with the squad.

Why on earth both the boards decided to schedule the bilateral series this time of year in Newzealand is questionable. First one and a half T20 series got abandoned due to rain and now the same might happen to the ODI series. A complete waste of resources and time in my opinion this tour of India has been.

Seddon Park, Hamilton The blizzard is not letting up. From that T20 World Cup, rain disruption started. The World Cup is over but its impact has not diminished. India had to wait for a long time after the start of today's game playing 4 overs due to the rain. Play resumed at one stage, but after 12.5 overs, rain domination started again, forcing the organizing committee to abandon the match. In the end the game was declared as no result.

Yeh it's a good choice to bat first because Afghanistan bowling side is quite good which can hold opposition away from win if Afghanistan score 280 around score, but it's quite disappoinment for Afghanistan side because one of his strong batter Ibrahim Zardan which are in great form who has score century in previous odi has been departure by L.kumara.
Now Afghanistan has 95 score in 17th over, hope gurbaz will score phenomenal inning in order to win this ODI..

Afganistan chose to bat first and they are going really good so far 102 runs just 1 wicket gone in 20 overs maximum.  If they'll maintain partnership target can go up to 300 maximum. 
Sirlankan ballers till now are not performing and taking wickets .

2nd ODI Match Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka. Afghanistan cricket team won the toss and batted first. Afghanistan team is batting very comfortably. Their batting performance is much better. Although Afghanistan team's opener batsman Ibrahim Zadran could not perform well, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rahmat shah formed a great partnership. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 56 off 59 balls and Rahmat Shah scored 48 off 61 balls. Afghanistan team score, 115-1(23.2). Afghanistan team score is likely to be 300+ if Afghanistan team players can maintain the run rate

Afghanistan cricketers are batting maturely. They have managed to score 141 runs for 2 wickets at this point. I have never seen such beautiful batting style from Afghanistan before. Rahmanullah Gurbaz managed to keep up an acceptable performance of 68 off 73 balls. Really looking at the development of Afghanistan cricket i wonder how they have come so far. Whereas the condition of all the countries that joined cricket before them is still survive. Afghanistan cricket is performing well from all the aspects.

Not sure if they had any idea about rain ruining all the fun. If I have to guess then this bilateral series was more like a commercial deal with NZC (Similar to Aus vs Eng) and their main broadcaster, should be covered with insurance tho (Not poor fans). Also, no board can go against the signed contract so they might have no other choice.

But yeah complete waste of resources and time. Players, especially young ones must be very disappointed.

But Afghanistan's performance in today's match is not satisfactory. Afghanistan has given a target of only 229 runs. Apart from Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Nabi and Rahmat Shah, none of the batsmen in the squad performed well. A target of 229 runs is possible to win. Sri Lanka will probably win. But as Afghanistan's bowlers are in good enough form, they will definitely play for the win

Afghanistan back footed after losing Gubraz and Rahmat wicket.Both batsmen made 50* and they played very well aslo.Sri Lanka bowlers did good job. They pick upped the all wickets in 1st innings.But no one can be expected that cz 1st match they played very well and they managed huge runs.I hope they will be good fight with this total cz they have world-class some leg spinner bowler's like Rashid and Mujib.

I thought Sri Lanka gona bring a equality in this series by today's match. But sadly the match is delaying for raining . But Sri Lanka's performance today was amazing as Afghanistan's bowling performance yesterday, Sri Lanka also did their bowling performance well today.  But if everything goes well, if the match is played again, I think a bit better batting from Sri Lanka can win them today. They just need to batting with cool head because there require run rate is much lower today.

I was praising Afghanistan a while back. Where Afghanistan introduced a great deal of skill. But suddenly the disaster came down on them. They were able to take only 228 runs in the end. It would be difficult to win with Sri Lanka with such low score. However, since they have a strong bowling line up, it is not impossible to expect something about the match. But there is nothing to do here. Not just India and New Zealand have interrupted by rain. This is now a big problem for Afghanistan Sri Lanka match as well.

There is no new official update from the ground yet. I think this rain today will be a hindrance to bring equality in Sri Lanka series. Although Sri Lanka played very well in today's match. Specially Kasun Rajitha , Maheesh Theejshana  make a great role play in bowling side . Kasun Rajitha takes 3 wicket with only 3.44 econ and Mahesh TheekShana takes 2 wicket with 4.90 econ . I hope the rain ends soon and the game is back on the field.

Just out of curiosity i want to ask you guys what do you think about covered criket stadiums? Is there a possibility that these could be the future? I understand that permanently covered stadiums are obviously not practical as pitches need a lot of sunlight for preparation. But some sort of infrastructure where the sheds can be opened and closed. This obviously will be pretty costly but would be worth the cost for sure.

Sri Lanka started batting in the second innings to chase down the target of 229 runs given by Afghanistan. Rain started before the end of 2.4 overs and play was stopped due to rain. Maybe the rain will stop very soon and the match will resume. It may also happen the match  declared abandoned by the umpire's decision

The match was already abandoned with no results. Sri Lankan people will not really be happy as Sri Lanka managed to restrict Afghanistan today with a very good bowling performance. Now there is no chance of winning the series in front of Sri Lanka, even if they win the next match, this series will be a draw.  But today's rain has been a plus point for Afghanistan as they have two roads in front of them either a win or a draw.
