This series has been hampered by rain, 4 out of 6 matches have been canceled. There is something very pathetic about watching both T20Is and ODIs be affected by rain. The result could have been achieved in only 2 overs for New Zealand, but it's unfortunate that no DLS rule was used. As a result of rain, this tour has repeatedly been hampered. If it weren't for the rain, India would have lost 3-0.

Firstly, this will always be an issue in cricket thanks to ICC not focusing on closed roof stadiums thanks to their corrupt habits. It's a pity seeing so many possibly entertaining matches getting washed out in this manner.

Secondly, the series would have most probably ended as 2-1 in NZ's favour since India played really well in the previous ODI before rain stopped play.

You are right after looking at recent weather conditions and average of how many matches are affected due to rain( either abandoned or left unplaced half way)  this should be a concern for ICC to make stadiums covered and closed roof . In recent T20 world cup we have seen soo many matches affected because of rain and now this series so this matter should be put forward on ICC desks for future convenience.

I was expecting the rain to interfere once again. But I was not expecting it to stay and abandoned the match. One and half day of T20 series was lost due to rain and now the same for ODI. It is pity that you wait for a series and it gets destroyed due to the weather as organizers never bothered to look into weather prediction.

2-0 was loading today but the way kiwi openers were batting, i was more worried about another 220/0 opposition scorecard lol.

Anyway, it's nice to lose a bilateral series for a change as the Indian team is a bilateral bully and shit their bed in the ICC tourney. Need some serious reality checks in the ODI squad before WC.

This series was completely interrupted by the rain. Cricket board should think twice before arranging a series in this kind of weather condition. However, it wasn't an important series for India and New Zealand. India will visit Bangladesh to play ODI and test series with their main squad. Perhaps, we will see competitive ODI matches between them. The weather condition isn't rainy there.

This is an important match for Sri Lanka. The fight is on going to clear their position in the upcoming ODI World Cup. But it must be said that Sri Lanka has made a great start. So far they have managed a good score without losing any wicket. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has collected to score 86 runs by 15 overs. If this continues, their victory will be come very easily.

Sri Lanka team has lost 3 wickets now they have 7 wickets left.Sri Lanka scored 119 runs in 24 overs.  It looks like Afghanistan have a big chance to win this game. Afghanistan batting as well as bowling they are performing well in this match. If Sri Lanka play like this then they will not be able to score more than 270 runs.

Srilanka started really well their first wicket fell on 101 runs but after that 2 back to back wickets broke their partnership and momentum.  Now they are on 132 uns after 27 overs ,they can win this game If they retain their wickets and increase their run rate.

Which I think that is their positive side. But if Afghanistan manage to pick up two more wickets then at least some relief can come for the bettors in favor of Afghanistan. Afghanistan collect 186 runs they need 128 from 16.3 overs.

This was surely going to be a New Zealand win. New Zealand is going to feel like they got robbed from a win. But honestly, I think they are going to be happy with the series' win. From this series, we can easily see that rain has become a big problem for cricket. And end right at this moment, there are not many ways to fix this problem as well. I really wish we could have seen a fair result. This whole series regardless of the formats has not been fair to both teams in my opinion.

I do not know why India is so scared to make some changes because they haven’t got enough players in the pipeline waiting for a chance. But they are just not giving those players chances to prove themselves. Those reality checks that you were talking about are certainly going to hurt India for a short period of time at the start. But eventually, it is going to be good for India in the long run.

You are smart, Sri Lanka is now a relatively weak team. They have several talented players in their squad. But no player can consistently play well. They don't have the players in their squad to bat responsibly. Currently, Sri Lanka is very strong in the Afghanistan squad. And we got proof of that in the first match.

I am not saying Sri Lanka can't win. The target was 314, big enough. Sri Lanka has the ability to win. But their chances of winning are slim. I would say Afghanistan will win this match very easily if they are not completely unlucky. Afghanistan batsmen played well. Afghanistan will win only if the bowlers and fielders do their actions properly.

Sirlankan batting was outstanding today although they lost 3 wickets in early match but that didn't stop them to score runs and move forward in this match . Charith Asalnka made 83 runs which bring Srilanka to this Victory. 

Afghanistan no doubt played exceptionally well today batting specially and balling wise too Rashid Khan was outclass . But definitely sirlanka was better specially in bat so they won this game

Secondly, the series would have most probably ended as 2-1 in NZ's favour since India played really well in the previous ODI before rain stopped play.

The ICC needs to take steps regarding the rain, as we all agree. But none of us are actually sure what can be done to prevent this situation.
There is the Duckworth-Lewis Method, which is not optimal, to be honest.
And making an indoor stadium is also not a solution because the field will need sunshine.

The only long-term solution is to construct an adjustable roof over the stadium that can be opened and closed. But I am not sure that the ICC is willing to do that because of the restrictions and the money available to a lot of cricket boards. So honestly, there is no fix to this problem right now.

Sri Lanka won the match. Had Charith Asalanka and Dunith Wellalage not performed well, Sri Lanka would have been defeated in this match with Asalanka unbeaten on 83 off 72 and Wellalage unbeaten on 31 off 21 balls. I will give full credit to these two batsmen for Sri Lanka's victory. Because after losing the first wicket for 101, Sri Lanka quickly lost a few more wickets, and the match was out of their control. Due to the responsible batting of Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka managed to win the match till the end. Hazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman gave plenty of runs today. Afghanistan could have won the series if they could have done some controlled bowling.

I thought that Sri Lanka won't be able to win the match between Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan. But later I saw that Sri Lanka won this match very easily. Sri Lanka won this match because of the good batting. Afghanistan's words are good first.  But later they did not bowl well due to which Afghanistan lost this match. Yes I also think Sri Lanka will win the match it was beyond my imagination. I thought Afghanistan will win this match 100% I bet but I lost the bet. Sri Lanka played bad at first but then they batted really well and in the match  Victory is done.

Sirlanka batting saved them today , they started their innings with a good partnership but 3 wickets fell and than they regain their strength and eventually Asalanka batting brought them to this Victory.

Both of teams were good today and played with maturity , one team has to win so today that was Sirlanka.

With Sri Lanka winning yesterday, things got more complicated for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Now the Lankans have 77 points with 3 matches remaining. They need two more wins from their remaining three matches to overtake West Indies and finish at the 8th place in the league. However, South Africa has 5 matches remaining (two of them against Netherlands) and there is a chance that they may overtake both Sri Lanka and West Indies, and gain automatic entry to the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Agree, it can be said that Afghanistan lost the match after coming very close to win. When Sri Lanka needed 33 runs in the last 2.1 overs, Afghanistan's bowling getting down to the attack. Gulbadin Naib's last over of two consecutive 3 extra runs and 3 boundary at this same time destroy the dream of wining. But here Afghanistan played well throughout the match but in the end they completely failed to hold it. On the other hand, Sri Lanka's Charith Asalanka has brought an important match under their control with a fantastic batting.
