Nepal was bowled out for a total of less than 200. Apart from Gyanendra Malla, none of the other Nepali batsmen could score more than 30. Can't blame the Nepalis as well, as they have a 100% native squad, and mostly made up of younger and inexperienced players. Looking at the percentage of matches that are affected due to rain now ICC should revise some rules to give points to teams if their matches are abandoned or left halfway because if rain.
This is now becoming unfair for few teams and thier points are getting affected which will ultimately make their qualification difficult.

For Nepal and Papua New Guinea, it is basically over. Because I do not think they will be able to improve their performance. I am not going to lie, I expected a lot more from Nepal. I have to admit that they have somewhat disappointed me. I also agree with you about Scotland performance Scotland's performance is now very close to the top ten teams specially in ODI format They are in 12th place behind Ireland with 46 rating points from 27 matches. Currently Ireland and Scotland are playing very well in the ODI format, they have already overtaken Zimbabwe. I don't think any we will have any excitement in this first ODI between Bangladesh vs India because home side is currently performing below average and India is having very good unit which can compete with top rank teams in any conditions and for this series if India send their third grade team they could be also winner because now quality is at his top and many youngsters are doing amazing job for having spot into first team healthy competition is going to help for increasing quality and better results.

Bangladesh is still not able to fight against top six teams because recently their quality is declined, and they are also having many on and off the field issues which are hurting them badly now we have Afghanistan better in quality from Bangladesh which is also good for the Asian region as competition is going tough day by day with few new teams.

There is no doubt about Nepal and PNG they are performing poorly but these both teams having one good thing as both are playing with native players and giving local talent chance to shine and having better chance in long term future with all other five teams are having mixer with adopted players even few have no domestic player which is surely not good sign for the game.

But, today I have a positive thing happening we have 7 teams in CWC World Cup League 2 and nearly 10 teams in League 3 mean too many countries are interested, and they are trying to give their best for improvement in quality and things could be also improved for the sponsorships and other ways which will bring revenue for these teams and good interest from local fans as well, but sadly we have no development from ICC as they are not doing anything for increasing their market which will help them for having better things in the future.

India is favourite in the ongoing series. However India underestimating Bangladesh could lead to losing the match. I'm expecting India to play with the young players, giving chances.
