Perhaps not every team can not focus on the ODIs due to the T20 World Cup. But slowly they are getting ready. They are preparing in a new way around the upcoming ODI World Cup. Australia and New Zealand in particular have come back from very close to the World Cup finals which will greatly influenced them to win the next World Cup. Especially after failing to reach his semi finals on home ground in Australia they had to come back from being very close to victory and that is why they want to control the upcoming World Cup 2023.

Class batting by Latham & Williamson today! They both remained till the end and destroyed India's bowling. Except Usman Malik every other bowler was a failure today especially Arshdeep Sing. Rishab Panth form has been in question lately and I think after the series he should take a break. Newzealand have taken a lead in this series and now it all depends on Shikhar Dhawan and his team to work go back and work on those areas where they were not good.

What a great match we saw. New Zealand beat India brilliantly and took a 1-0 lead in the series. India batted first and set a target of 306 runs, losing 7 wickets. Next New Zealand managed to win by losing 3 wickets with few balls to spare. Kane Williamson and Latham, with their brilliant partnership, New Zealand won by a big margin.

1st ODI  Afghanistan tour to Sirlanka.
Afghanistan bat first and gave target of 294 runs , Afghanistan batsman perform was outclass specially Ibrahim zadran scored a century of 106 , Rahmanullaah Gurbaz, rahmat Shah scored half centuries soo that's a good piece of batting by Afghanistan.  Now Sirlanka started their innings we'll see how they'll bat to chase this target .
Afganistan ballers have to perform well to win this match.

Umran Malik is having a good outing so far. At this point, his figures are 8-0-46-2. He has made use of the pace and bounce at Eden Park, Auckland. In general all the bowlers have performed well for India and the required run rate for New Zealand has now crept above the 8 run per over mark. So far only 5 bowlers have been used by the Indian captain. BTW, no part-time bowlers in the Indian XI. If they need a couple of overs in between then who is going to bowl? Shikhar Dhawan or Shreyas Iyer, I guess.

New Zealand's chances of victory are quite high so far. Kane Williamson is performing well, as well as his teammate Latham the batsman is also playing well. If this partnership lasts till 45 overs then I see New Zealand victory for sure. India's bowlers will need to bowl more aggressively to break this partnership.

I thought New Zealand would struggle to score the runs India scored but I was totally wrong.  New Zealand is batting very well. It seems that New Zealand will win the match very easily. New Zealand has brought this game completely under their control. But India is batting well in this match but India is performing very poorly in bowling.

New Zealand is going to win required run rate is  1.89 and given only three wickets to India. India perform poorly here.
And therefore new Zealand now going to win the match.

Kane Williamson and Tom Latham partnership was great.
Both are not out Kane Williamson made 94* runs for 98 balls. And Tom Latham made 145* runs for 104 balls.

Wow what a great partnership we saw. All the cricket lovers got great pleasure from seeing the partnership of Kane Williamson and Latham. India's bowlers repeatedly failed to show their mettle in front of these two men. If India's bowling could have dismissed these two within 35 overs, then India could have won.

The performance of New Zealand's batsmen in the T20 series was very poor. It was unimaginable that they would make such a grand comeback in the ODI series. Batting against a huge target of 307, New Zealand won quite easily today. We don't see good performances from openers Finn Allen and Conway. But Williamson and Latham's performance was excellent. Tom Latham was unbeaten on 145 off 104 balls. New Zealand won because of such amazing batting. If the batsmen continue this performance, they can defeat India in the upcoming matches as well.

Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan 1st ODI match started. Afghanistan won the toss and batted. Afghanistan scored 275 runs in 48 overs and lost 4 wickets. Sri Lanka bowlers are bowling well in this match.  As he is doing well, he will perform well in batting.

I think you have said the right thing. If Bharat's bowling could have taken these two batting wickets of New Zealand earlier, then New Zealand could not have scored so many runs in this match and New Zealand could not have won this match so easily. New Zealand's  The batsmen have taken possession of this match and the players of New Zealand have destroyed all the games.

Williamson and Latham played beautifully together and won the game. There are a lot of concerns regarding Indian bowling. Unless they resolve this issue, more embarrassing results are likely to follow. In addition to Umran's pace, he needs to improve his line and length. It is not enough to have pace, you must also have some variation. There has been a weight gain for Shardul Thakur. In an over, he conceded 25 runs, which doesn't seem fast bowler. An inexperienced bowling staff and a pathetic captain cost India the match.

It's looks Sri Lanka really was in underpressure of Afghanistan.  They have already lost their five wickets before half way through the match, although their opener Pathum Nissanka is trying hard to swing the match in their favor I don't think it will be possible as they are getting completely caught by the Afghanis today. Today Sri Lanka's batting and bowling both sides showed a lot of weakness.

Anyway, India did cross the 300 mark but i think they are still 20-ish runs short here. Won't be easy to defend this total, considering bowling is inexperienced and new. Credit to Kiwis bowlers, they didn't allow Indian batters to free their arms (except Sundar's cameo) despite having wickets in the bank. Their fielding was amazing throughout the first inning, they at least saved 15-20 runs.

You were right, but India needed at least 30 to 40 more runs to win the match. Although they have batted quite well, but we shouldn't expect a big score from the young inexperienced team. As an experienced player, Shikhar Dhawan contributed well with his batting. The debut performance (in ODI) of Arshdeep Singh wasn't good at all. Indian bowlers had created pressure on New Zealand by taking the first 3 wickets, but the partnership of Williamson & Latham was unbeatable.

The match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka was fairly good. Both teams played good cricket. But the rule is that one team will lose and one team will win. Afghanistan won by 60 runs. Afghanistan batsmen have shown great skill. Besides, the Afghan bowlers were able to pick up the wickets of the Sri Lankan batsmen in no time and ensured the victory.

On the contrary, Sri Lanka lost the match by 238 runs and lost all wickets. Afghanistan cricket has promising batsmen who are capable of taking their cricket to greater heights.

Afghanistan both site were outstanding today match against Sri Lanka. Afghanistan batters done their job 1st innings and bowlers did 2nd innings. It was very good match for Afghanistan. Afghanistan won by 60 runs. It is big win against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka didn’t do their job as well they were underdressed in that match. Hopefully, they will be come back in very next match cz they have the good team as well.

Credit has to be given to Kane Williamson and Tom Latham. It is actually a little sad that Kane Williamson did not get his century and tom Latham did not get his 150. But they did very well for New Zealand and they stayed there to make sure that New Zealand win the match. I thought India had a good enough total on the board. But the bowling of India was bad. None of them had a decent performance in this match. Only Washington Sundar was good, but even though he was economical, he did not get any wickets.

Same for me really, Indian bowling was really below par, it felt as if the bowlers of Indian team have become too much familiar to bowling in T20. They were not really focusing on building the pressure and then taking up wickets they were focusing more on individual deliveries which new zealand played very intelligently so technically the strategy played by them was altogether wrong. I think  they will get better after a couple of games.
