Well, it's a high scoring ground and traditionally Sri Lanka has performed well here.
I was checking some stats and one time India made a mammoth total of 400+ runs at the same ground and Sri Lanka lost the match by just 3 runs. 

Sirlanka played very well yesterday,  their hard luck was that their openers and middle order couldn't make any runs only Dhasun Shanaka scored a century.  Overall they fought hard till the end, Indians overall dominated and 0layed good that's why they havewon the match.

@JSRAW while Srilanka lost the match but they yet managed to score 300+ runs against India which is a very strong statement, because while Srilanka doesn’t have any star batman India had their best bowler’s yet they couldn’t contain Srilankan batsmen from scoring 300+ run’s.
Furthermore if Srilanka bowler’s can restrict India to a lower score in the next match then we could see them beat team India, therefore I believe that it’s too early to declare that team India will win this series easily.

Sri Lanka actually did get good runs on the board. But the target was more than 370. So the target was always going to be very hard to be chased down Sri Lanka. And I think that Sri Lanka actually played decent. If we just put aside the target from India, the score from Sri Lanka was actually a good one.

It was good to see Virat Kohli playing really well and being confident again. Honestly, the scoreboard pressure was just too much for Sri Lanka in the end. They played well, but not well enough. And the Bowling from Sri Lanka was really bad. It felt like Indian batsmen were playing against some u19 team, no offense.

What a comeback from Pakistan,  after 180 runs they took all the wickets one by one and now Newzealand is on 238 runs 8 wickets gone . Finally Pakistani ballers magic worked and they clearly washed Kiwis.
Now 3 overs left and with this pace Kiwis can score maximum 250 runs .

Mohammed Rizwan  already got out but Babar Azam is still on the strike . And he has already managed to score a half century, I think if Baba's Azam can last till then Pakistan still have a better chance of winning than New Zealand.
But I think Pakistan should increase their strike rate now because the gap between their required run rate and current run rate being much. Current run rate is 4 below and required run rate is 8 above. So I think if they don't increase their strike rate now, they won't get more wickets left and they will suffer from ball and run shortage towards the last.

Pakistan has lost the match for two reasons. Firstly, their openers couldn't make a good partnership and got out quickly. Then the remaining batsman played very slowly, which had increased the required run rate. Babar Azam scored 79 runs, but his strike rate was below 70. The second wicket partnership was the turning point for New Zealand. The third ODI match will decide the series winner. I'm planning to place a bet on Pakistan, the betting odds is in favour of them.

Except Babar Azam, no batsmen from Pakistan scored any runs. He scored 79 runs in 114 balls which were on the slow side but then if he lost this wicket quickly, Pakistan could end up under 120-130 runs.
I would not say that he played slowly and wasted many balls. The point is that no batsman was able to stand with him and so he had to save his wicket, and also make runs. This was a dual responsibility and he did his best.
