Sri Lanka won this match by 4 wickets.  And the game they played was really convincing. I can remember that Afghanistan lost this match after scoring 313 runs. It was really a pain for me. If I knew that Afghanistan would bowl so badly, I would not have bet on this match.

Afghanistan should have won the match, but they wasted a good opportunity to get a series win against Sri Lanka. From the last two overs, Sri Lanka needed 29 runs. Sri Lanka was in a poor position, but tail-end batsman Dunith Wellalage smashed Gulbadin Naib and Fazalhaq Farooqi for continuous boundaries to give them an unlikely win. Also, it was poor captaincy from Hashmatullah Shahidi, which allowed Naib to bowl the 49th over. Until then, Afghanistan had the upper hand. Naib conceded 15 runs from his over and it tuned out to be the match changer.

Agree, it can be said that Afghanistan lost the match after coming very close to win. When Sri Lanka needed 33 runs in the last 2.1 overs, Afghanistan's bowling getting down to the attack. Gulbadin Naib's last over of two consecutive 3 extra runs and 3 boundary at this same time destroy the dream of wining. But here Afghanistan played well throughout the match but in the end they completely failed to hold it. On the other hand, Sri Lanka's Charith Asalanka has brought an important match under their control with a fantastic batting.

Afghanistan was defeated because of their poor bowling. It is sad to be defeated after giving more than 300 targets. Moreover, Afghanistan was in complete control of the match till 30 overs. But the bowlers could not keep their control in the match. The bowlers gave the Sri Lankan players time to settle down. And because of Asalanka's amazing batting, Afghanistan lost this match. Afghanistan lost because of their bad bowling.

I think Afghanistan is a bit new in cricket and they don't have much experience on how to handle such critical situations. With time they will learn and this issue will be settled. We have to give them credit that they in very short duration manage to beat top teams and have acquired test status.

Afghanistan cricket team is growing and developing rapidly nand they are showing some wonderful performances in recent series with Sirlanka and in previous matches against Teams in Asia Cup. 
Their batting lineup is very strong and trained ,they are capable of making big  scores in upcoming matches just they need few ballers to fill the gaps that are present in thier team and that will help them to win big tournaments and series.

They are always too good against Pakistan whether its T20 or ODI and other way around against India don't know the reason. They have got good players over the time like Rashid Khan and Ibrahim. I am very much sure if Afghanistan keep on playing international cricket then very soon they will reach the standard of top teams like Australia, Pakistan or Newzealand.

The only long-term solution is to construct an adjustable roof over the stadium that can be opened and closed. But I am not sure that the ICC is willing to do that because of the restrictions and the money available to a lot of cricket boards. So honestly, there is no fix to this problem right now.

This is the solution that I proposed too, but I know that it's pointless since the ICC would have constructed them if they wanted to a long time back and money is definitely not an issue here if you ask me.

I cannot think of any other great solution to fully resolve this rain issue in cricket.

But I am not sure that the ICC is willing to do that because of the restrictions and the money available to a lot of cricket boards. So honestly, there is no fix to this problem right now.

Thus is definitely a solution to rain issue and ICC should consider this suggestion in case any cricket team or stadium have put forward.  Specially the big tournaments like World Cup and Asia cup shouldn't be affected because of rains .

If that's not possible atleast check proper weather forecast before organising such events on international level.

Namibia's start was not good as they lost few early wickets which not allow them to have any better target for this match while they were 45 for 4 there was chance they could be ended at 100 to 125 but thanks to captain inning from Gerhard Erasmus which ended with 96 not out they able to have reasonable score on board 211 for 9 which is surely not good as you are playing against a team like Scotland which are having few good professional players those are involved into English counties and have good experience.

Now after 38 overs they are touching 183 for 5 which mean just 31 runs required in 12 overs with 6 wickets in hand and surely win is going into their favour as their batting is also not good after having some good runs on board by top order.

But I will not underestimate Scotland's bowlers either as their performance allowed them to be bowled out Namibia  for 211.

I just check ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 table, and it's creating good confusion for the peoples those are having good knowledge of cricket as well because things are not clear with table is having big mess up few teams are already having 36 matches and many are having 20, 26 and 28 which mean these teams needs good time for the completely remaining part how they are doing and what is prospect of this all surely not positive things are happening around ICC which is the most crap sports organization around the world.

Only seven teams are involved in this process and from these someone is going to be in League 1 not clear, but they need to be more attractive for things like these from here they need to do something like Tier system which helps these teams like first tier have 12 teams than second have 8 and then tier 3 also with 8 hopefully with this we will move in better position and teams will do better work as funds also needs to go with this system as well.

Both Namibia and Scotland did not make much progress in cricket. Namibia got membership in ICC in 1992 while Scotland in 1994 even though they came to cricket so early, both teams are far behind. Whereas Afghanistan got the ICC membership in 2001 but their improvement is visible. It is natural that the country which gives more importance to the cricket will be done well. The more people of a country are encouraged to play cricket, in that country cricket will improve rapidly.

This was really one of the best series recently we have and with this now we are having one more exciting team from Asia Afghanistan which is going to challenge big ones on Asian soil because they have good batting and quality spinners which can help them for having good results here even they failed in SENA and most chances they are going to have trouble for the long time until they settle things for this but in this third and last ODI of this series I am feeling stunning with the fightback by Sri Lanka because as home team lost their sixth wicket at the score of 249 I have feeling now we are going to have another big lost for the home side with most chances they will lose by 30 to 35 runs but last pair done amazing job Dunith Wellalage entry was really gift for them, and he turns tables with the help of Charith Asalanka who done 83 on 72 balls really amazing fight and win with need some improvement in captaincy needed for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan had a good performance in this match even though they were not able to win. The problem was Afghanistan was not very good in the bowling lineup. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi did well on the bowling side. But the others did not do very well. I think if Mujeeb did a little better they could have won the match. We all know that Mujeeb is a very important performer for Afghanistan. But in this match, he could not perform and that gave Sri Lanka a lot of breathing space. This was actually very unfortunate for Afghanistan. This was a really good chance for Afghanistan to win this series against Sri Lanka. They just failed to grab that opportunity.

The thing is ICC is obviously not willing to give Free money to the cricket boards. And as far as I think, for the ICC it is the responsibility of the cricket boards to create adjustable roofs like that. But none of the cricket boards except for India, Australia, and England have that type of money. If this has to be resolved, it needs to be done by the ICC. But I think we all know very well that the ICC is not planning to do that. Because they care about money more than anything.

Honestly, there is no other solution to the rain situation in cricket that can be found. Because the DLS method is not the most reliable and keeping reserve dates is also not very convenient.
