I agree. India and Pakistan need to improve in several key areas in order to climb back to the top across all formats, but it's going to be very difficult thanks to Australia, England and New Zealand consistently performing well these days.

It is true that the bangladeshi bowlers have performed very poorly but event then I think it would be partiality to blame them only because the bangladeshi batsmen were all out for less than 200 runs.  To  see, they have performed poorly on both sides  batting and bowling.

Pressure screwed them in that game. Chasing 400+ target would seem daunting for any team. They failed in all departments in that match, but still won the series.

It would not be right to call Bangladesh women's cricket team too bad. They play fairly good cricket. But when they play against teams like India, Australia, they cannot perform well. Outside Asian Subcontinent, most of the Asian country players suffer to perform. This is common with the men as well as women's cricket. Look at the score, Bangladesh managed to score 180 runs while New Zealand managed to reach the target in 31 overs with the fall of just 2 wickets. Spin assisted pitch is very good for Bangladesh women cricket team but Bangladesh women cricketers cannot perform very well due to fast bowler wicket assisted pitch in foreign venues.  Moreover, Bangladesh women played many face to face matches with New Zealand women but could not win easily.  Therefore, Bangladesh women's cricket is expected to win occasionally, but it is very difficult to win with a small run target on the batting pitch.

A score of 230-240 is enough for a win, and 300 plus totals are very rare. There is no relaxation on the boundary length for women and therefore in women's game we normally witness less number of 4s and 6s when compared to men's matches. On top of that, conditions in New Zealand are more favorable to seam/swing bowling. All that said, 180 can never be a winning total. They should target a 200 plus total in the next match.

A score of 230-240 is enough for a win, and 300 plus totals are very rare. There is no relaxation on the boundary length for women and therefore in women's game we normally witness less number of 4s and 6s when compared to men's matches. On top of that, conditions in New Zealand are more favorable to seam/swing bowling. All that said, 180 can never be a winning total. They should target a 200 plus total in the next match.

No need to write them (Bangladesh) off completely. Two matches remain in this series, to be played at Napier and Hamilton. By now Bangladeshi players might have got an idea about the pitch conditions and weather patterns. And although the T20I series was won 3-0 by New Zealand, there were some noticeable performances from the Bangladeshi women. Batting was a complete failure and I don't even want to mention about it here (in one of the matches they were bowled out for a total of 32 runs). But in the bowling department, Marufa Akter and Ritu Moni have performed credibly.
