It this dumps did not happen the price could have reached 30 cents by now, it is the only coin that is very stable in the market considering that this is a new project, it could go straight in the top ten if the market stabilizes, I hope this pandemic will be over so we can see it's huge potential in the market.

Idena price is very good against BTC. It dropped and recovered quickly which is a good thing.

If a bull run will come, I think it will go up very nicely. We will live and see when this will happen.

It is time to renew statistics on flips:

Epoch #34: 887 flips in total,   7.1% of which are with weak consensus, 7.8% are without consensus, 1.1% are bad flips
Epoch #35: 933 flips in total,   4.9% of which are with weak consensus, 6.0% are without consensus, 2.4% are bad flips
Epoch #36: 1127 flips in total, 4.9% of which are with weak consensus, 6.2% are without consensus, 1.4% are bad flips
Epoch #37: 1284 flips in total, 4.1% of which are with weak consensus, 6.4% are without consensus, 1.2% are bad flips

So during last two epochs percentage of flips without consensus got better, level of bad flips raised and then decreased significantly. I still suggest people try to create more meaningful flips and pay more attention to curation of other's flips.

Yup you are reading my thoughts. Altcoin dominance hasnt flattened, in fact alts do show gains against bitcoin, and in some isolated cases (think HBAR) alts even pump! Its not clear what causes this schism between altcoin and bitcoin performance but I guess the takeaway is, thursday's event was an anomaly which pertained to bitcoin only. And it does not look as though this anomaly is gonna strew across the altcoin space.

In times like we're going to know what coin has the potential in the market, IDENA is showing resistance other top coins are dipping and crashing but not the case with IDENA, the Idena holders are strongly believe that this coin has real potential in the market because of its one vote per miner, the distribution is equal, the only way you become a whale is through buying it.

I must agree with you @wingfield_crypto. I like the fact that you don't need sophisticated equipment to mine this coin, and big GPU farms have no advantage over a common laptop user.

      I'm sorry I didn't know about this project since its appearance. I recently learned from a colleague, and this week I will be fully validated after the 3rd round. More and more people want invitations and sign up for this wonderful project because they are aware of its quality and know that it will be a future project.

Shout-out to reb0rn who gave me info about the project. When I first got into Idena, it was late December... I was fascinated by the idea and how stuff works. Since it was early start, I was few months late but there were not that many users in. Still there are not. I tried to learn/read everything there was about Idena. This thread, Telegram channel from beginning, Discord from beginning.

Since then I've been trying to troubleshoot problems and help users here and there. As I ran into problems, I tried to find a way to solve them as best as I could. As my job is primarily helpdesk/tech support, I find myself with this project as at home...

First thing, how to run stable mining... Built-in node (on Windows) was failing at a random times, it felt like I needed to babysit it.
So I made a script that checks its online presence by checking Idena explorer and sends you an email if node is offline. I thought to myself, well this is usefull, as I read other people were having same issues as well. So I redid script so it can check multiple addresses at a time.
Then when the list of users/addresses and demand grew I figured, I can't add them manualy any more... I must build interface so people can register and setup stuff themselves.
Also after every validation, I had to manually go through addresses list to check if those addresses are still able to mine, Is there a need to check them. That was also troublesome. But eventualy I got time to build it and automate it. So now it runs independently.

From that need, it grew into something that I now call a Portal...

This setup has many advantages:
- Node runs/mines in background
- Idena client/app does not have to be turned on, all the time
- Mining is more stable than running Built-in node and has autorestart feature
- If your PC restarts or updates, node starts automatically by itself
- You don't have to be logged in in order for node to run

Only disadvantage of running node as a background task is a bit complicated node update procedure:
- Stop node task
- Switch to built in node from App settings
- Update node by clicking update button in App
- Switch to remote node in App settings
- Run task again

Any of you know what the actual mining reward calculation mechanism looks like? I noticed the day after the last validation that the value of the coins increase from mining on my account was a few lower than on my wife's account - I was surprised because both nodes are  on VPS (admittedly two different ones) but I was convinced that the increase regardless of connection will be the same calculated directly from the formula daily (block) reward divided by the number of active minerals.
So daily Mining cap per day: 25,920 DNA divided by the number of active miners currently 791 so 32.76 coins a day ...

Concerned that maybe something is wrong with the second node I was watching accounts the next day and surprisingly this time on the second (my) 10% more coins ... Huh Shocked

So I decided to do a little more measurement and in addition to our two newbie accounts I added observations of the first account on the list with the status of human ...
After 4 days and 17 measurements I am amazed ... theoretically the general growth trend coincides although my personal account won a bit with both - my wife's and this random human indentity...

But I was much more surprised by the average increase per hour at individual stages of measurement, it is logical that it will not be constant because the number of miners varies over time, but how it happens that one account increases by up to 400% more than another - I can't get it....

So maybe any of you could explain how the Idena's mining algorithm divides coins between miners
