You are talking as if your miner is giving you 1.2th. There is no "issue" with your miners. They are working perfectly, over 1.4. For slow corner that is good performance.
Actually, I have an issue. It is the temperature in my datacenter. Consequently 4 out my miners are hashing ~ 1430, remaining ~1400. Is there anything wrong with me trying to get max out of my miners?

If you improve temperatures your miners will give you 10-60GH more.

I am expecting to have something around 27C, by the end of the week. That's what was promised to me. 60GH added to each miner, not bad at all Cheers!

We are not fans of fans, so no PSU or any other fan inside On a more serious note, depends on PSU's, but via firmware is one way, or hardware modification, but in this case for the purpose of our tests we used a fan simulator.

How to do that? just jam a metal spacer* in the fan blades, that'll stop the bugger going round I used to rip apart* all the PSU's for my old 130nm blades, pull out the horizontal fans and place vertical fans on top of the open* psu got zapped* a coupla times but hey, it's all fun. my mining room was a total health hazard. *do not try this at home

Wonder what the dB level on the bubbles are? i've a plan to build an ASIC powered hovvercraft... instead of air in the cushion, fit it with 3M and a layer of upturned SP10 blades to let the bubbles glide the craft along. i like boats.

Just deactivating / stripping it from the PSU is probably the best solution.
It wouldn't be a problem until the fan stops, but i makes no sense to keep it in there, and you wouldn't want your PSU to drive away like a submarine Most if not all server PSU has fan checks and wont work if you simply disconnect the fan, hence a fan simulator or other way to disable the fan checks. We have close relationship with our PSU manufacturer, so of course we wouldn't waste time doing this manually for our DataTank production installations, it is done directly by the manufacturer.

A 4% free performance increase is always nice, don´t you think? Obviously shipping it to a different location for such a small increase is a bad idea. Shipping it to the right facility in the first place (assuming smaller than 4% hosting cost difference) would be a good one though.

I think we will hit 300 Billion about 1.5 months earlier I think the 40% spikes we saw in Oct/Nov are the 20-25% spikes we will see this month. Then it will settle down to 10% reducing to single digits. Then there will be another spike when the more efficient companies put out 20/14nm but again it won't be as much maybe 15-20% and it will settle down again in the long run. I don't think you can say using a calculator that it will be 20% increases going forwards for X months.

You cannot do estimations of future difficulty without price speculation, as it is the main factor driving difficulty besides (maximum) production capacity (which would adjust over one year). Basically, future difficulty will be something like: BTCprice*efficiency*electricity price(including a small premium for miners) (not a real equation, but including the main factors) Everybody knows that price speculation is atleast as much pure voody as difficulty speculation (over a longer timeframe).
