Hello,

This software is really great. Could it be possible to implement XMRIG (https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig) for CPU mining? This miner is fastest on many CPUs. It has his own API:

https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/wiki/API

It’s only thing I miss Smiley

Thanks

I will consider it. Thanks for the suggestion. There are many XMR miners these days. I recently added support for Cast XMR and by using an External Miner, also XMR-Stak is supported.

I am not clear on adding a pool. There is nothing showing under options/pool but obviously I must be using one because I'm mining.

The predefined pools used by the profit miner (pools defined in Options dialog, Profit switching section) will not show up in the pools you have in Options dialog Pools section. So if you do profit switching, the pool list may very well be empty.

You can still add you own pool here and make it part of the profit switching pools as a "Custom pool".

Hi guys,

I am new to using Awesome Miner here and run into some really weird glitch (?) Hopefully someone can please help me out Smiley

I have several miners set up to mine ETH in Nanopool. I wanted to mine into 2 separate wallets (some of the rigs are for my friend's while some are mine.) I created 2 pools and assign miners to them accordingly - say pool1 and pool2.

When miner is "stopped", the pool name shows up correctly under miner tab. However, once I start the miner, for some reason, the display names all changed to a display pool1. Seems like this is only a display error on Awesome miner because when I check on Nanopool, it seems to be mining into correct wallet.

Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone had this before?

Thank you in advance, guys! Smiley

This is a display issue only.

For mining software that report both pool URL and worker name, this is not a problem at all. Awesome Miner will look at this information and figure out which pool in Awesome Miner this matches and it will show coin information and the name of the pool as defined in Awesome Miner. It's about guessing, but works almost 100% of the cases.

Then we have some mining software that only report the pool URL to Awesome Miner, not the worker name. Awesome Miner will still try to figure out which pool in Awesome Miner this would represent. However, the guessing can fail because with only a pool URL, you may find two pools with the same URL. This is what happens on your scenario - the guessing goes wrong because Awesome Miner is not aware of the worker name.

There can for sure be ways of improving this (the most obvious would of course be to tell the mining software developers to pass worker name), but at least you have the explanation above.

Hello all!

Absolutely love using AM now, after a couple days, and being forced to learn about pools, setting up workers, it not only is easy, but forced me to educate myself a bit further.

I have one thing that I can not figure out for the life of me. If I allow use of SGMINER it constantly crashes. Giving output with OpenCL / ADL issues, not matching. I have seven RX4/5 cards which worked with NH, still work with SMOS, but cannot figure out what I need to change in order for it to work with AM.

I found the AMD profile in the software, adding a 1 to the platform made it function, but then mines with my igfx instead of one of the GPUs. I installed an OpenCL SDK per some instructions I found, but to no avail. I am running 17.11.1 drivers and 23.20.788.0 openCL.

Any help would be so appreciated. I have searched, and tried various .bat examples, but to zero avail.

Patrike, is there any way to change miner type from Managed Miner to Managed Profit Miner and back? Some tips?
It would be extremely helpful.

Can you please send the log file via mail? (toolbar: Tools -> Log File)
The rule is configured to run on a single miner only. I assume this is the same miner as you had selected in the background? Is it correct to assume that the miner is running in Privileged API mode (also specified on Summary tab).

That is not unfortunately not possible. For a Managed Miner you can use template to switch between different configurations in an efficent way, but the Managed Profit Miners are a bit too different for this concept to work.

Hi,
Is there anything specific or just general information how to get started? This is probably a good starting point:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/externalwizard.aspx

Also, make sure you configure the Antminer for Privileged API access in order to enable operations like changing pool:

As i see, all needed data is present in both types of a miners for another...It would be great to have a "Convert to manage miner"/"Convert to profit miner" button for each miner! Think about it!
Right now, i need to remove miner and create needed after that, with the same IP address and worker name . So i'm loosing all history and settings. It doesn't make sense.

How do you get balances to work?  I've exported my public key for bitcoin and dash and added in the Options/Balance area, but neither of them shows anything.  The BTC one using blockchain.info shows 0 balance, the Dash one using cryptoid.info shows (Update failed).  Any tips on what Explorer API urls work?

So I figured out how to get balances to work using addresses instead of public keys.  Now, is there anyway to show a Ripple (XRP) balance by using any of the custom settings?

I apologize if this has been asked before, is there a way to integrate prohashing profitability? Using prohashing since nicehash is offline and can't see profitability.

(for antminers not GPUs)

The Electroneum profit calculation is rather strange.  This comes from WhatToMine right?  AM has always been high on the profit for Electroneum but the percentage gap widens as the WhatToMine profit goes up.  For example:

WhatToMine $66
AM $100

WhatToMine $79
AM $142

Any idea why this is?
I don't know exactly why, but WhatToMine calculates with at 35% pool fee (bad luck) on ETN:
https://whattomine.com/coins/213-etn-cryptonight

There's some explanation on Twitter, but I suppose I still can't post links...

https://twitter.com/WhatToMine/status/938078827326201857

effort for last 50 blocks on electroneum.hashvault.pro is 163.58%
50 before that is 98.26 %
50 before that is 110.32%

That's about the last 24 hours.

Hi guys! I have a bunch of iBeLink DM11G with Awesome Miner to control them. When I change the pool via the Awesome Miner software, it works, but until any miner reboot. After rebooting I see the same pool configuration as before any change implemented. Looks like the Awesome miner does not save the new pool configuration.

When I change the pool configuration in the web interface of the miner itself, I have to press "Save configuration" button to really save the new config. Patrick, could you resolve it?

hello, I just downloaded another AM on my nvidia laptop to run while I am not using it. I set it up, benchmarked it, but it only benchmarked a few, then I tried to run it after. But it keeps popping up the miner for a second then disappearing and saying interface offline on AM GUI. I looked in the logs and this is what it shows.
Code:
12/13/2017 2:10:52 AM.799 [010] [E]System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable.
12/13/2017 2:10:52 AM.799 [010] [E]   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
   at PE.Infrastructure.Web.HttpRequestHelper.GetResponseString(HttpWebRequest req)
at PE.Infrastructure.Web.HttpRequestHelper.PerformPost(String url, String postData, WebProxy proxy, CookieContainer cookieContainer, Dictionary`2 headerDict, Boolean throwException, Boolean preventUnescapeOfSlash, String contentType, String requestMethod)

Any help would be much appreciated, as I have no clue what would cause this and have not been able to find any info as of yet to help.

Hi Patrike and to all members,
Can someone help me with my 4 rigs. 2 rigs consists of Nvidia 1070 cards and I dont have any problem of them all. The problems I encountering are my AMD Rigs with RX 470 & RX 480 cards (named ARKI-1 & ARKI -3, see screenshots) It says mining but its not mining at all. I try all other methods like restarting the miner, the computer, disabling the anti-virus. etc. Also I notice that this occurs when switching to other pools or coins, its coming like this. Attached also are the screenshots of the miners, I think it stuck and cannot proceed to mine. Please anyone also encounter this problems or know how to solve it. (NOTE:THESE ARE AMD CARDS, NVIDIA CARDS RUN SMOOTHLY ON ME) https://imgur.com/a/cnWTZ
