bitcoin up, everything else down?
is this it? the great credit contraction?
I feel something big happening...
A hyperdeflation event (in dollar prices), and hyper inflation everywhere else, all fiat except dollar failing, is certainly conceivable. But we don't know what Ben can do, whe can not read his mind or see his tarot cards, so hyperinflation is also possible.

Well, at $1180 it is 10% bargain, at $900 it is 25% off bargain, at $600 it is a 50% c.o.p. off bargain ... pretend you are buying that latest pair of shoes you have always wanted and go shopping for money in that frame of mind. Money is a deferred purchase of a real good that you want/need so try to put yourself into the future when turning that money into real goods when buying the money (deferred purchase) itself, and you might get a bargain at both ends, i.e. twice the bargain .

Gold Collapsing today is like Nazis at the gate of Moscow. Or Nazis at the Battle of the Bulge.
Both were running on fumes of gasoline to run their attacks. The fumes run out, the triumph become a rout.
The fat lady is not on the stage yet.
Last time I checked, the Russians did not win against the Germans for 12 years in a row. It's the gold that is out of gasoline.

Sure we can... review the press conference. Every time he mentions downside risk his voice cracks and he looks like he wants to cry. It is written all over his face. The other thing I noticed is that he threw in we are ready to taper or INCREASE easing as necessary. The markets are starting to play chicken with him instead of dutifully following along.

^ This. It looks to me he was testing the water and now it's just a game of children. Who knows what comes next he could have regulatory tricks in reserve. Anyway I love how cracking down on XBT USD exchange interfaces tends to spike the price.

Playing chicken?? lol they have been trying to play chicken since 2010 but bears got crushed. You cant mess with the fed.. The feds free money has been propping up the market esp likes of jpm who has infinite spending power. Any idiot would be foolish to think they would let the jig up that wallstreet tries to hide so well.

Interesting perspective in the face of historical evidence. And yes, the Fed has been playing chicken with the markets, but now the tables have turned and it is the markets playing with Ben.

Buying local gold soon Wife is a happy wife. I recommend you print a paper wallet and give her some XBT, that will help too. (Every time she wants to sell it, make sure and if push comes to shove start preaching about security and how technical it is and how in trust worthy the exchanges are ...

Im trying to get some cash. Wonder if we will get a worldwide cyprus event soon.
Seems unlikely to me. Cyprus was caused by an inability to devalue. Most of the world doesn't have that problem. Mind you, we have different, potentially worse, problems. We just don't have that particular failure mode on the menu.

I assume neither of those.

A central bank or a fed leader can't impact the market indefinitely They will be caught off guard by the market forces

i have this twisted fantasy of one day seeing Bennie hanging from a tree, twisting in the wind.
b/c of his hubris, intellectual dishonesty, and criminal tactics, i think he should go down as the worst central bankster in world history.
he took credit for the liquidity induced, distorted ramp of the last 4 yrs; let him take the blame for what is now happening.

(Every time she wants to sell it, make sure and if push comes to shove start preaching about security and how technical it is and how in trust worthy the exchanges are ... She has more btc than most people on the forum. She also bought asic miner stock at .85 and she is only cashing out the dividends. However she likes to show off so whatever. She makes me happy so i try to do the same. Whatever happened to the goal of having an independent woman by your side? Guess "independence" slides down the priority scale with increase of net-worth of the individual man. Same for age.
