Where's the supply coming from to drive the price down? That's right - there isn't any, we're merely seeing paper games.

Mining operation shutting down.

And I'll just leave this here.

Buying local gold soon Cool

Wife is a happy wife.
I recommend you print a paper wallet and give her some XBT, that will help too. (Every time she wants to sell it, make sure and if push comes to shove start preaching about security and how technical it is and how in trust worthy the exchanges are ...

She has more btc than most people on the forum. She also bought asic miner stock at .85 and she is only cashing out the dividends. However she likes to show off so whatever. She makes me happy so i try to do the same.

Sounds like she has everything she needs ... give her some children?

*obligatory statement about tinfoil hat.*

Come on, duuuddde, nobody's manipulating gold and silver prices, those banksters are just too trustworthy. They're going down because they're a barbaric relic that has no worth anymore, just an ancient tradition. Gold and silver are on the way out.

Ignore the part where a barrel of oil costs the same in gold now as it did a hundred years ago.

*end with statement about silver at $5 and gold at $500 and are you happy to have lost all that money because of some tinfoil hat manipulations scheme*

Nah, who are we kidding? You will be vindicated eventually... you just might have to wait 2 years, 20 years, or 2 thousand years.

Whatever happened to the goal of having an independent woman by your side? Guess "independence" slides down the priority scale with increase of net-worth of the individual man. Same for age.

She is from a well off family and the btc stuff is so she gets used to using it and the idea of it.

She was with me before btc Wink

I retract any allegations I might've implied earlier. I remembered seeing another girl a while back on your profile pic and drew some wrong conclusions.

this is quite interesting: http://www.thegenesisblock.com/want-to-know-where-btc-prices-are-going-watch-usd/

author argues gold and btc do not correllate (in fact negative 0.4 coeff), but BTC follows USDX with a 3 day lag (with a 0.89 correlation coefficient)

Conclusion ... it's based on only 50 days of data ... good luck with that Cheesy

I wasn't suggesting to trade on that. It's interesting to think about this anyhow.

Review my comment regarding backdrafts.

An explosive chemical reaction is typically preceded by a growth phase in which oxidation spreads through the fuel mass. Then the primed material ignites/reacts.

The financial world has been soaking up petrol for the past five years and now resembles napalm more than anything else.

Derivatives burn. Gold does not.

Good thing Bitcoin doesn't either Smiley

You will be vindicated eventually... you just might have to wait 2 years, 20 years, or 2 thousand years.

There have been several inflection points in the process of monetary mismanagement since the link between the dollar and gold began to separate, each progressively accelerating the overall rate of change. Increasing by a factor of ten in a decade seems to be a lot closer to 2 more years remaining than 20, much less 2,000.

If there were any realistic way to show the rate of systemic acceleration, it would be a different story. Sadly, there is no salvation for the existing system; there is only escape/transition.
