Does anyone currently have a setup for sale? Im interested in mining, but not quite tech savvy enough to set up myself. Im sure with weeks of research I could build some legit; Is it cost effective to buy a rig? or would I be better off doing the research and building my own. I have several computers laying around at the moment I could piece from, and about $1k to invest. How many coins are you guys generating per day or per week?

THese gigabyte 7950s are the best - cards are the coolest in whole setup, last night I let the window be open wide, in the morning they were running at 32C
what clock and voltage setting are you using? I have never seen such low temps on my air cooled 7950 @ 1Ghz, 1.09V. Sorry for answering this late, I missed your post. I am running the cards 1GHz, 625MHz memory, 0.956V core. But you have to bear in mind that when I measured this it was -2C outside, and the window is very big. And whoever questioned me buying the 7950s, in next 3 days I will break even . With this price, and the average of like 10 btc a day for last 15 days, it was a good investment. And we are still not swamped by ASIC, the story I have been listening to for what, 5 months now ?

You'd really have to be pretty quick about it, so they say. Everyone talks about ASIC's hitting the wild all the time but when you really look at what's happening, nothing. If I had the space and free electric I would invest with GPU mining myself right now. No doubt.

He's not the only one either. Why else would cards be going for $20-30 more on ebay than they were in June of last year if that wasn't the case. I would invest in gpu's still if the price is right. At least until I max out my 30amp 240v circuit which won't be too much further. It will probably be end of summer at least I imagine before asic are in the mainstream. Most of these asic companies are pathological liars. There's no way in hell bfl (or anybody) is sending out thousands of miners in a couple weeks

OMG I used to love this thread, but the lack of width=1000 or any other kind of image downsizing is killing my OCD. I can't come in here anymore without getting pissed off.

Here is a link to my rigs. It is a work in progress and more images in the future. Have to get more cards and time. Should be building more this weekend. Check it out my rigs are the shit! I am happy with them so far and looking forward to getting really nice cards and building even nicer ones. The coolest part is I can monitor it remotely, and it has several temp sensors and is set up to shut down if it gets to hot. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.542634679114677.1073741825.498575096853969&type=1

A lot of people leech off their own companies electric bill. That's not the way I would want to be running my rigs, and that's why I chose not to invest into GPU mining. I know a lot of people don't care and just do it anyway, but that would bother me if I didn't pay for the electric.

Are you talking about me? It is my dads company and the power to the rig is metered. I will be paying the bill.
