Rumors are that Damian Lillard is not happy that the Trailblazers didn’t try and trade their pick to get him some win now help. He’s also basically stated that he wants to be in Miami with Bam and Jimmy. It seems like this is going to happen and probably going to happen this week. I still think the Beal trade is the big move so far though.

Without a doubt he's gonna opt out if the Traileblazers aren't going to get him a good help. This is just another similar story of LeBron with the Cavs when they all let LeBron carry the whole squad without providing him with any legitimate teammates. Now,
We can't compare it though, at least Lebron promises that he will be back with the Cavs and that he will bring a championship. And it happen during the prime years of Lebron. As compare to Lillard who initially have a good supporting cast, but not enough and then they traded CJ and I think that is the end for Portland chances to even go playoffs.

Lillard and the Heat seems like they are having a mutual interest, besides Lillard could be the missing piece for Miami to become a dynasty in the East. We all have seen what the Heat are capable of, Lillard's addition will give them a boost.
There are also rumors that the Trailblazers are not willing to trade Lillard. Well, let's how this story turns out when Lillard shows no interest with the team anymore.
I also like it, not sure who going to be the trade bait for the Heat, but it could be Duncan Robinson and some future draft picks for the Trailblazers. And it's going to be interesting how Jimmy will adjust and let Dame be the center of their offense if ever he goes to the Heat.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 27, 2023, 03:32:28 AM
When you buy Bitcoin hen the price is 100k$ then how much will you sell it back to make profit because at that time the price of Bitcoin might not exceed 100k$ and if the price didn't not exceed that amount you will become a loser in the business so how does the vendors do at that time?
Or you buy at that time and thinking that it will go up to 200k$ but ironically, the price come below 100k$. What will be you faith/fate. Many companies stopped function last year because they accumulated a lot of Bitcoin when the price was high and they were thinking that the price would go up for them to sell them off and make their profit from there but instead the price of Bitcoin drastically come down very well. So the companies  enter bankruptcy and folded. So exchange are trying to avoid such mistakes, so that they can run a long journey.

Will the price pass 100k$ next year 2024 for buys to make their gain?
If there one thing that history will tell us, is that there are going to be FOMO whatever the price will be of bitcoin. Tell that to those who have bought at $1.00, and it will be the same for $100k.

The price will continue to go up in the future, and if you are a wise investors, you can make x gain in the next years or even decades if you decided to hold for that long.  So for now it looks like you have a valid argument, but s we march towards $100k, the sentiments are going to chance and then we are going to look for $1 million price range, probably 2-3 halvings from now.
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: June 27, 2023, 02:58:44 AM
After almost 3 months now the price can return to the level of $ 30k, of course this is a positive indication that the market is soon rising, many investors are afraid that the market will collapse because the issue of Binance which is experiencing a crisis is not proven, all withdrawal transactions are still in the normal process, some even once withdrew around 15 btc or $450k from the Binance wallet.
Smart investors buy in the dip, so I doubt that they are afraid on what has happened to Binance. And as we can see, the price was not affected, on the contrary price has reached as high as $31k, meaning there is hype and FOMO again.

But we just have to be cautious as well, this price increased is due the Blackrock applying for a Spot Bitcoin ETF. So in any case it might not be approved by SEC, the price could go down again. So we will have to wait and see what is going to happen to that application and hopefully it can bring another set of good news to us at least at the end of the year.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 26, 2023, 04:35:19 PM
There's no official betting odds but we can see some odds from https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/news/boxing/opening-odds-canelo-alvarez-vs-jermall-charlo-fight-september-16th-2023/

Quote
Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Odds
Fighter   Odds
Canelo Alvarez   -240
Jermall Charlo   +182

As you can see, Canelo is the heavy favorite although he might be facing a tough challenger, so if some of you here believe that Charlo will win, that +182 odds is good for you, $100 to win $182.

Thanks bro, just as I expected, the odds are much closer than for the Canelo vs Ryder bout.

These are official, you can bet them at FanDuel.

If you are aiming to make a huge win, Charlo would be a good choice. The likelihood of him winning however is less 50%. Risk is a risk.
If you have to bet for Canelo for a bigger win, choosing which round where the fight might be stopped or Charlo gets KOed is an option. It's possible on the 5th. It would surprise me if Charlo lasts 5th round.

A long wait for Bivol's rematch since he has to finish that PBC contract til Benavidez. Benavidez is still a good match for him.

The Bivol rematch might happen next year or maybe we will not see that happening at all as Canelo is with PBC now. Bivol is with Eddie Hearn and Match room so I doubt that they are going to work out as Canelo's contract with PBC is exclusive for a 3 fight deal.

I wouldn't go and bet for Charlo to win though, as discussed, long lay-offs and then he going up in weight.

Might be interesting if he can last the full 12 rounds as that could be a good odds.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2023, 10:54:42 AM
^Joshua is still very young at 27 years old, but we respect his decision to retire after his big lost to Ioka. Mental health issues is a big deal now for sports personalities and maybe this is the reason perhaps in the early years of sports we have seen boxers suddenly lost the fire in their belly and unfortunately lost a fight and never was the same again after a big lost.

And in this generation of fighters, they are not afraid that they are dealing problems inside like Ryan Garcia, or Jermall Charlo who has been out in the boxing world for 2 years or even Teo Lopez who also retired and going thru a divorced.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 26, 2023, 10:17:22 AM
[....]
So it might be a 3 year deal for Green worth $100 Million++
Damn! That's a huge L for the Warriors if they grant Green that much for a 3-year deal imo. I think $80M would be the more ideal or the max contract they should offer. That's probably enough money to show respect for his previous contributions to the team that brought four championships before they part ways. This is great for Draymond if he gets that over $100M and probably bad for Klay when he becomes a UFA next season.

I think that's a bad deal.
Why pay 100 million for 3 years for a guy who is averaging a tripple single.  Grin

Of course he has "veteran leadership" and is a 2 way player, but not for that money. Age is also a big factor, also his brain farts he likes to produce. Never forgetting his endless run of flagrant fouls and brain less buzzer beater attempts instead of passing the ball to Steph or Klay.

He is a deserving franchise player but you should make this a better business decision, especially with the new CBA coming.
The thing with Draymond is that he knows how to sell himself, but if we look at his stats, yeah, doesn't look good in paper. He might bring what we call intangibles though, the leadership and of course he knows the system of Steve Kerr, screen, picks, fake hand off and others that make the Warriors great.

So we will see, definitely Klay's contract could be in question for next year, unless they parted ways with Wiggins or Looney or whoever or even CP3, or whoever they think is not going to help them in the long run, just like how they dump Jordan Poole.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Joshua Franco vs Kazuto Ioka WBA World Superfly (June 24) on: June 23, 2023, 11:51:22 PM
Personally, i changed my mind and will now bet for the Japanese as the percentage of him winning got higher with this news of Franco not making the weight.

What would be the penalty for him not making weight? Can he still make the fight happen? I was thinking if a boxer does not make it to the weigh-in, that would result in disqualification. Maybe my knowledge is not correct.
Yes, he can still fight against Ioka, but he has been stripped of his belt already. And then the winner fighting the mandatory, another Japanese in Junto Nakatani. According to the reports, their is some miscommunication with regards to the fight and they camp of Franco was told that the fight might not push through.

Good thing though is the Ioka didn't postponed the fight and said that he is in the best shape of his life, so they might as well fight. And all advantage is on him here, so i do agree if you will shift your bet for the Japanese now.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 23, 2023, 11:32:11 PM
Not sure if we have discussed Jerwin Ancajas comeback fight this weekend as he will move up to 118 lbs and will fight a tune up fight against Wilner Soto in his new division.

Ancajas has been a great champion at 115 lbs defending his belt 9 times until he met  Fernando “Pumita” Martinez in which he lost 2x. So it's obvious that his body can't take 115 lbs and so they decided to go up now at bantamweight division.

https://www.ringtv.com/654814-title-shot-awaits-jerwin-ancajas-if-he-gets-past-wilner-soto/

Soto is 13:1 underdog here.

I am more interested in the main event where Fernando Martinez will once again defend his belt against another Ph contender Jade Bornea. The champion though remains the favorite.

Hopefully, Ancajas can show some signs that he is still an elite fighter. The division is starting once again after Inoue's ascension to 122. Ancajas was a long-time champion but I felt like he could've done more by unifying his belt or facing the other top fighters of the division. He was a champion and the division was rich with stars like Roman Gonzales and Juan Estrada.
And with that odds in favour of Jerwin, he should be winning here easy, unless a not well known Soto somewhat wake up in the right side of the bed and beat the former champion in Ancajas.

And as said, he doesn't have to weight drain himself to 115 lbs because obviously, his body can't take it anymore that's why he had back to back loses against Martinez. Yeah, I do agree, money fight could have been against Chocolatito and Juan Estrada, those two are legends and if by chance he fought either one of them and beat them during his prime years at 115 lbs, it could be historic for the Filipino.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 23, 2023, 04:11:46 AM
The biggest question right now and I'm sure will be asked in the press conference is why a fighter like Canelo is in his comeback fight, I know Jermall is good but even a great fighter will have a hard time dealing with ring rust, two years is enough to consider it like retirement, unless he is not stopping his training and does sparring at least 2 weeks in a month.

As per the news, Canelo's fight against Charlo is part of the three-fight deal with Premier Boxing Champions:

- against Jermall Charlo
- against David Benavidez*
- against David Morrel Jr.*

After Charlo, Canelo is supposed to fight again in May and September 2024. For some analysts, Canelo might have been offered a big paycheck for accepting this deal as it's risky for the "cash cow" to just accept fights, and generally, the usually followed timeline for Canelo is at least 1 fight per year.

*still undetermined
I thought that Morrell is going to fight Benavidez next, but we haven't heard any news yet and if I'm not mistaken, I read that the fight is not going to happen. It could be a sort of eliminator as they are all looking to fight Canelo.

Nevertheless, if this is the 3 fight deal then only David Benavidez is a good fight for Canelo in my opinion. As you can see in the comments here, fighting Charlo who is inactive, and then Morrell who might be good in paper, but the fight might not be a good one for Canelo's legacy. So it's either Bivol or David Benavidez could really cemented Canelo as the one of the best in this generation.
1050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 23, 2023, 02:45:22 AM
In one week we will be half through the year , crazy I know  Shocked

What is everyone expecting for the rest of 2023 with Bitcoin?

A lot of good news lately with Bitcoin up 24% in a week but will it last?

How high can we go before 2024? $40k? $50k?
Those numbers are possible, we are around in the $30k'ish range or even surpassed it already. Long term, I'm expecting that at least the rest of 2023 will be crazy price run to $50k. Remember that next year, the block halving will commence, so by this time, everyone should be in the accumulation phase. So wise investors might continue to stack sats, regardless of the price and so with that, price could be around $40k-$50k. So take this opportunity, we just have to DCA and have the mental toughness to buy and look for the long run.

1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 23, 2023, 01:01:06 AM
As a morally upright person that does not like to cheat people, but gambles and has lost a lot of money to gambling in a casino where you have sometimes been cheated even without your knowledge or betting on sports, will you take an opportunity you get and go against your moral standards to cheat a casino or sportsbetting place, just so you can win big at least even once.

Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?
It's hard to cheat against casino though, probably you might be successful in the beginning, but nevertheless, it's a big risk on your end, if you get caught then you might not played on that casino itself.

Betting on fixed match is different though, cheating is when you take advantage of the casino, fixed match is when players trying to get ahead who is going to win. And only in small league it happens though, so very hard to look for casinos that might carry this kind of games.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 11:39:17 PM
Chris Paul going to the Warriors as a backup for Steph Curry? I didn’t expect that. I guess CP3 thought that was his best chance at a ring. This to me means that Jordan Poole is done in Golden State. Crazy because I thought he would be next up, especially with Draymond rumored to be leaving the team this offseason. First surprise of the offseason…

Edit: Looks like Poole was in the trade. Checks out…
This is a huge move from their new GM. Mike Dunleavy Jr. Played for the Warriors, and Indiana Pacers in his prime with Reggie Miller, and Milwaukee Bucks.
Jordan Poole. I wish him well. His inconsistency could sometimes make a Warriors fan furious. This should be good for him, he will still be the backup point guard or the Wizards will be testing the water on who will be better, him or Tyus Jones. The best part is, Poole won be on the shadows of Steph Curry anymore. He should create his own story and perhaps this is the time.
Yeah, and probably Poole will have the green light to shoot 30+ in game? Lol. I think he will thrive though in the Wizards uniform, as you have said he is inconsistent specially this season, perhaps there were still drama in the locker room after the punching incident with Draymond and it carry on throughout. Anyhow good luck to Jordan.

About CP3, this may be the best position he could get. Be on a team with a strong core and management and let them handle the rest of the deal. If they want Draymond back then so be it but I guess they will be paying another luxury tax year.  Cheesy
I don't know how much space they opened up by releasing Poole or they just added more dollars in their space by taking CP3 in.
Giving Draymond a heck of a contract might swell their salary cap, let's see if they can still handle that. Or, is it time to reinforce their forward and center positions?
Most likely this will be his last chance to win a NBA ring before he retires.

Draymond is not yet signed though if I'm not mistaken. But Dunleavy says he will do everything in his power to retain Green. And now that Poole is out, the core couldn't more intact, with CP3 and Andrew Wiggins.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 22, 2023, 03:23:23 AM
Yes, Last week, there was a significant market crash, but for the past 3 days, the market has been showing positive signs. However, it is uncertain whether this upward trend will be sustained or if it is merely a temporary situation to deceive buyers. It is well known that whenever the SEC takes any action, it negatively impacts the market. In addition to the significant impact of the Binance lawsuit, other coins that have been labeled as securities by the SEC have also experienced substantial drops. Nevertheless, I have observed that the effects lasted only for a period of 5-7 days, and now the market is recovering once again. However, investors will now likely pay closer attention to BTC and Ethereum due to the SEC's actions.
And we have seen that there are no crashed though, sure bitcoin goes below $26k and other altcoins suffered, but look at where the price right now as we have a instant rally in the last 48 hours.

And for sure the SEC lawsuit is not being forgotten, we might just have to wait for the result and see how it goes. But as far as the market is, there is no longer that lingering effect. And that's how the market is, sometimes there are negative news that will bring down the market but after several days when everything has settled down, we will be on the road to recovery.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: This year is dumping ground for bitcoin on: June 22, 2023, 02:41:58 AM
I am sure your opinion on the condition of bitcoin in this year is changed by now and that will go a long way because at the moment, the price of bitcoin is already crossing the 30k margin, and at that it is a pointer that this year has not been entirely a dumping ground for bitcoin because bitcoin has been able to recover a multiple time before now.
And even up till now, we can see that Bitcoin is recovering strongly from its recent price dump.
We've recovered already, the bottom price last year is $15,500. Now we are in the $30k'ish so it's almost double already the lowest low for this year. Not sure though if the OP has changed his mind and most likely this is what he has notice early though, and we can't blame him for that because after all we don't know where the price is going to be.

Technically we are still in the bear market that's why last year was worst for us. But despite all of that, the market remains very positive as we have bounce back and now it looks like we are going to attempt to at least break our highs for his year. So the magic number is $32k and up, till the end of 2023.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 02:01:27 AM
[.....]
What we are discussing here are only possibilities based on what we have seen in the past.
I agree and this further validates the argument that he'll most likely get injured since we've already seen it before. One could argue that he's different or special but these tall and skinny players can't just change their bodies or built in an instant - using a legal and normal method. I don't think he'll be a complete bust but he'll be lucky to stay in the league for 5 years without major or career ending injuries.
Yes, we will have to see, but for sure whoever teams drafted him, they will have to look at his body and how they are going to improved him. If he wanted to be like Durant, then maybe just enough in his lower body and some in his chest. And it should be legal and natural method, although we haven't hard any PED scandal in the NBA.

He is tall but doesn't play center per se, so that will be another big adjustment for him. So let's see how it goes, we don't have to see a rookie that is going to be bust and as hype as Vic today.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 22, 2023, 01:11:41 AM
There is a strong likelihood that Inoue will stay in the division for a while if he becomes a champion. As long as Casimero remains the top contender, there is a good chance that the fight between them could materialize. The key factors that may come into play are the negotiation process and Inoue's genuine willingness to face Casimero. A potential matchup between them would finally put an end to the speculations surrounding Casimero and Inoue. I am eagerly anticipating the Fulton vs Inoue fight, as its outcome, hopefully favoring Inoue, could potentially pave the way for Casimero to challenge him.

That's a high possibility that Inoue would stay in this weight category as he has yet to prove that he can bring his power to a higher division. If he wins (Inoue) then a unification fight with Tapales is the biggest for this division to happen thus far and a fight with Casimero will only materialize if the latter will keep on winning and become a mandatory challenger as calling out Inoue without a belt or something might not interest the Japanese Monster to fight him as he has nothing to gain in fighting Quadro Alas.
Yes, and it will be far the quickest road to unify all the 4 belts in the modern era and he could make another history. This is just his first fight at super bantamweight and if ever he wins he will go for the unification with Tapales at second fight.

Then it's going to be difficult to retain all the belts, because each body will have it's mandatory fight so going to be hard which one is he going to chose and which belt he will vacant so that other fighters like Casimero can fight over it.

If Inoue is successful in pursuing a unification fight and becoming the undisputed champion in this division, then Casimero would have no chance of fighting him anymore. Similar to what happened in the Bantamweight division, after becoming an undisputed champion, Inoue decided to move up and vacate all the belts. Casimero might become a champion, but only after Inoue vacates the title, which would leave him still chasing Inoue as he would not get an opportunity if Inoue decides to move up once again.

That's something that will avoid Casimero to have that chance again, as Inoue might try to climb up again after
winning or after unifying all the belts.

Unless Casimero will have that chance fighting Tapales and snatch the belt, that might be his chance if Inoue will push and try to
unify all the belts in 122lbs the same way he did from his previous division.

All will be on Inoue's decision making and not to forget depends also on what will be the outcome of this fight.

It's a never-ending chase for Casimero, it does sound like Inoue is hiding from him. The Japanese have better built with precision in knocking opponents, is there politics between them that prevents this fight from happening?

Inoue can certainly KO the guy's ass for good if he really wants to. There is no negotiation yet so far, it's a race against time for Casimero however, he is not getting younger. If they wait til Casimero turned 40 before they approve this fight, it will just confirm Inoue's team is ducking Casimero.
And by now, it's Casimero that is chasing Inoue, not the other way around. But before that, they seems to be on a collision course and there is a big possibility of their fight if not for Casimero having his weight issues.

That's the thing with Casimero now, he is running out of time. He might have hit his prime years for all know. The only good thing is that he hasn't taken much damage though in his last 2 fights so he looks refresh. But maybe if he fought a rank contender it might be a different story for him.
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 22, 2023, 12:50:27 AM
Thanks to this, yeah, I posted it here when  it was still a rumor hehehe. So it finally made official now.

And if I'm not mistaken, Jermall Charlo has been calling out Canelo for years now, before his hiatus and inactivity in boxing. Nevertheless it's a good fight for him money wise. But I think he will be too small for Canelo though, he is a good middleweight champion, but going up in weight and inactive in the last years or so might be too much for Charlo. So let's see if Canelo can get back to knocking out his opponent or if he is over the hill now and can't pull the trigger.

This is a bad time for Jermall to take the Canelo fight, he has two years lay off and it will show up in his fight like what happened to Josh Taylor against Teofimo Lopez, Canelo is just coming from a dominant win against Ryder and his momentum will carry on this fight.

I'm sure this is going to create a lot of hype I don't know if Jermall will show aggressiveness in their press conferences as he did against Harrison, you don't want to anger Canelo because he brings his anger in the ring.
Yes, but who can say no to Canelo fight? Alvarez is the cash cow, and just like Manny Pacquiao during his height, everyone wanted to fight him because it's a sweepstakes. And maybe this is what the camp of Charlo is thinking for sure.

I do agree, the Charlo brothers is known for trash talking, but I don't think that Canelo will back down from trash talking. He has improved his English a lot, and if I'm Charlo, I wouldn't go that fire and awake the fire in Canelo. Don't trash talk him as it might back fire on him, like in the Caleb Plant.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 10:57:48 AM
we can not say for sure if Victor Wembanyama will be just like Chet Holmgren I really don't want to speculate something like that but we can not control the situation if a player would be injured for a couple of months then it is likely because they really got injured but we can not say that Victor Wembanyama will be like Holmgrem, that will be unfair with Victor Wembanyama if we already assume like that I say let Wembayama do his thing 1st, before speculating something,

We don't wish for something bad to happen to a player, but considering what we have witnessed in the past, we cannot erase the worries that the same thing could happen again. So, it's best to prepare ourselves for the possibilities and not set high expectations. Sometimes, a player may even exceed our expectations. Personally, I hope Victor Wembanyama will dominate the ROY ranking once the season starts.
Yes, it was really a big disappointment for us basketball fans not to see Chet Holmgren play last season because he suffered a injury and we don't wish that to happen to any rookie, not just the first pick or anyone on the top 5-10.

So there is high expectations from him, hopefully he can come in healthy and then before we can witness if he will live to the hype. Although we have seen him play, NBA is very different though. 82 gruelling games and then the physically, so for me Victor needs at least gain some muscle, perhaps a Giannis like transformation to be able to stay in the league for a very long time.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 20, 2023, 09:59:15 PM
Yeah, I do understand one who is determined to hold can also lose hope after a certain period because everyone has a limit of patience. When I did start holding it was already the bottom of the market jumped and jumped a lot the back-to-back drops and small recoveries all this experience made me a person who can hold if I want to in any type of situation. Newborns face most of the Holding issues because they had less experience with market volatility and this is the reason they possess tiny patience. Holding can be boosted only the money which is invested is extra money. Boarrowed money investment cant be held for a long time there are many reasons for this.
You need to have a lot of patience if you are a bitcoin holder, you don't want to lose lose after a certain period of time, if you have seen the bear market. On the contrary, bear market is a good test for everyone to see how tough you are as a crypto investors.

If you yourself give up early, then it's game over for you. The name of the game is to go long here, although from time to time you can sell if you need money specially times you have emergency. But it's better to continue to HODL and accumulate for long term, or at least the accumulation phase in a bear market, then you might want to sell at a huge profit in the incoming bull run.
