1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 22, 2023, 01:11:41 AM
There is a strong likelihood that Inoue will stay in the division for a while if he becomes a champion. As long as Casimero remains the top contender, there is a good chance that the fight between them could materialize. The key factors that may come into play are the negotiation process and Inoue's genuine willingness to face Casimero. A potential matchup between them would finally put an end to the speculations surrounding Casimero and Inoue. I am eagerly anticipating the Fulton vs Inoue fight, as its outcome, hopefully favoring Inoue, could potentially pave the way for Casimero to challenge him.

That's a high possibility that Inoue would stay in this weight category as he has yet to prove that he can bring his power to a higher division. If he wins (Inoue) then a unification fight with Tapales is the biggest for this division to happen thus far and a fight with Casimero will only materialize if the latter will keep on winning and become a mandatory challenger as calling out Inoue without a belt or something might not interest the Japanese Monster to fight him as he has nothing to gain in fighting Quadro Alas.
Yes, and it will be far the quickest road to unify all the 4 belts in the modern era and he could make another history. This is just his first fight at super bantamweight and if ever he wins he will go for the unification with Tapales at second fight.

Then it's going to be difficult to retain all the belts, because each body will have it's mandatory fight so going to be hard which one is he going to chose and which belt he will vacant so that other fighters like Casimero can fight over it.

If Inoue is successful in pursuing a unification fight and becoming the undisputed champion in this division, then Casimero would have no chance of fighting him anymore. Similar to what happened in the Bantamweight division, after becoming an undisputed champion, Inoue decided to move up and vacate all the belts. Casimero might become a champion, but only after Inoue vacates the title, which would leave him still chasing Inoue as he would not get an opportunity if Inoue decides to move up once again.

That's something that will avoid Casimero to have that chance again, as Inoue might try to climb up again after
winning or after unifying all the belts.

Unless Casimero will have that chance fighting Tapales and snatch the belt, that might be his chance if Inoue will push and try to
unify all the belts in 122lbs the same way he did from his previous division.

All will be on Inoue's decision making and not to forget depends also on what will be the outcome of this fight.

It's a never-ending chase for Casimero, it does sound like Inoue is hiding from him. The Japanese have better built with precision in knocking opponents, is there politics between them that prevents this fight from happening?

Inoue can certainly KO the guy's ass for good if he really wants to. There is no negotiation yet so far, it's a race against time for Casimero however, he is not getting younger. If they wait til Casimero turned 40 before they approve this fight, it will just confirm Inoue's team is ducking Casimero.
And by now, it's Casimero that is chasing Inoue, not the other way around. But before that, they seems to be on a collision course and there is a big possibility of their fight if not for Casimero having his weight issues.

That's the thing with Casimero now, he is running out of time. He might have hit his prime years for all know. The only good thing is that he hasn't taken much damage though in his last 2 fights so he looks refresh. But maybe if he fought a rank contender it might be a different story for him.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 22, 2023, 12:50:27 AM
Thanks to this, yeah, I posted it here when  it was still a rumor hehehe. So it finally made official now.

And if I'm not mistaken, Jermall Charlo has been calling out Canelo for years now, before his hiatus and inactivity in boxing. Nevertheless it's a good fight for him money wise. But I think he will be too small for Canelo though, he is a good middleweight champion, but going up in weight and inactive in the last years or so might be too much for Charlo. So let's see if Canelo can get back to knocking out his opponent or if he is over the hill now and can't pull the trigger.

This is a bad time for Jermall to take the Canelo fight, he has two years lay off and it will show up in his fight like what happened to Josh Taylor against Teofimo Lopez, Canelo is just coming from a dominant win against Ryder and his momentum will carry on this fight.

I'm sure this is going to create a lot of hype I don't know if Jermall will show aggressiveness in their press conferences as he did against Harrison, you don't want to anger Canelo because he brings his anger in the ring.
Yes, but who can say no to Canelo fight? Alvarez is the cash cow, and just like Manny Pacquiao during his height, everyone wanted to fight him because it's a sweepstakes. And maybe this is what the camp of Charlo is thinking for sure.

I do agree, the Charlo brothers is known for trash talking, but I don't think that Canelo will back down from trash talking. He has improved his English a lot, and if I'm Charlo, I wouldn't go that fire and awake the fire in Canelo. Don't trash talk him as it might back fire on him, like in the Caleb Plant.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 10:57:48 AM
we can not say for sure if Victor Wembanyama will be just like Chet Holmgren I really don't want to speculate something like that but we can not control the situation if a player would be injured for a couple of months then it is likely because they really got injured but we can not say that Victor Wembanyama will be like Holmgrem, that will be unfair with Victor Wembanyama if we already assume like that I say let Wembayama do his thing 1st, before speculating something,

We don't wish for something bad to happen to a player, but considering what we have witnessed in the past, we cannot erase the worries that the same thing could happen again. So, it's best to prepare ourselves for the possibilities and not set high expectations. Sometimes, a player may even exceed our expectations. Personally, I hope Victor Wembanyama will dominate the ROY ranking once the season starts.
Yes, it was really a big disappointment for us basketball fans not to see Chet Holmgren play last season because he suffered a injury and we don't wish that to happen to any rookie, not just the first pick or anyone on the top 5-10.

So there is high expectations from him, hopefully he can come in healthy and then before we can witness if he will live to the hype. Although we have seen him play, NBA is very different though. 82 gruelling games and then the physically, so for me Victor needs at least gain some muscle, perhaps a Giannis like transformation to be able to stay in the league for a very long time.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 20, 2023, 09:59:15 PM
Yeah, I do understand one who is determined to hold can also lose hope after a certain period because everyone has a limit of patience. When I did start holding it was already the bottom of the market jumped and jumped a lot the back-to-back drops and small recoveries all this experience made me a person who can hold if I want to in any type of situation. Newborns face most of the Holding issues because they had less experience with market volatility and this is the reason they possess tiny patience. Holding can be boosted only the money which is invested is extra money. Boarrowed money investment cant be held for a long time there are many reasons for this.
You need to have a lot of patience if you are a bitcoin holder, you don't want to lose lose after a certain period of time, if you have seen the bear market. On the contrary, bear market is a good test for everyone to see how tough you are as a crypto investors.

If you yourself give up early, then it's game over for you. The name of the game is to go long here, although from time to time you can sell if you need money specially times you have emergency. But it's better to continue to HODL and accumulate for long term, or at least the accumulation phase in a bear market, then you might want to sell at a huge profit in the incoming bull run.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Points to Learn from Your Worst Sports Betting Losses! on: June 20, 2023, 01:05:00 PM
For me though no matter how big a sport bet loss maybe,no matter how sad may I become because of losing a 11 games parlay for just one game and if that game hit I would have won a huge amount of money, these kind of losses can never be compared to when I lose in slot machines,in sport betting you cannot do anything more than going berserk and placing another huge bet that with money anyone of us can afford to lose or at least most of us can while in slot machines if that berserk moment catches us then it is going to provide really catastrophic results and lost amounts of money that can never be compared with sport betting. For me as long as people stay in sport betting addiction will be hard to catch them.
But I guess parlay loss are better that a slot machine because you know you have a better chance of winning with that parlay because you analyze the game very well. Nevertheless no one is perfect, sometimes our parlay got destroyed with just one game. I know the feeling because I have bet on that kind of games and sometimes it's a big win, but most of the time, there will be one game that will simply kill our parlay.

Anyhow, yes, bankroll management is very important and at least we should not be emotional and man up and then just continue to bet and not be taken negatively with the previous loss.

It seems that GBP and Ryan is going to be a disputed legal battle, Golden Boy Promotions Files Lawsuit Against Ryan Garcia, Lupe Valencia To Enforce Contract.

We know that this could be brewing for years now, but after Ryan lost to Tank Davis, it seems that his camp is putting the blame to everyone, even firing his training and now are looking to severe his ties with GBP and get out of his contract with Oscar.

Not siding on this one, I will just wait and wait will be the judges decision on this one. But for sure, if there are still fights in Ryan contract, he will have to finished it and then get out os GBP for sure.

Yeah, GBP submitted a lawsuit last week against Ryan Garcia. I believe the contract remains valid although the usual way to end it is by just staying inactive unless there are still many years left in the contract which might not be the case here.

Ryan Garcia is over his head, his huge social media following made him believe that his brain and skills are at the top level of boxing which is actually far from the truth. He must've been hurting after Oscar and BHop ignored his post-fight press conference after losing to Tank. I honestly don't believe the excuses of Oscar and BHop not attending the press conference but I absolutely understand it since they do not want to be seen in public as losers to their rival PBC who dictated all the terms of the fight against their wills but dumb Ryan accepted it in exchange for the huge earning potential.
I think the issue could be the people behind Ryan, and maybe putting GBP in the bad light after them, "not showing support to Ryan". But it's the post fight already, I mean they get the fight they wanted, and they agree with the rehydration clause and I don't think that Ryan should put the blame on everything as to what happen to him to his trainer and Oscar. He should man enough and go through it but it seems he just bad mouth everyone including Oscar. And for GBP, this could be Canelo case all over again and they could lose Ryan to a rival promotion like PBC or Match Room soon.

1068  Economy / Speculation / Re: The low support level may still be tested during 2023. on: June 19, 2023, 11:50:54 AM
I really wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if bitcoin price tests the low support below $20k again in 2023 (but I'm sure it won't). Even though bitcoin is still trading above $24k at the moment, the possibility of a drop cannot be ignored. I don't think prices will hold well over the next few months, so of course I need to set up a budget to plan my purchases and build a strong portfolio.

Don't panic, do some analysis and collect some bitcoins if you have more budget. I will be doing this for the rest of the year and hope it will benefit me for years to come. Don't sell at loss, that's good advice for anyone holding it so far.

Even if Bitcoin drops below 20k, they will immediately recover and come out again. Most people don't sell bitcoin anymore. Because they have been holding bitcoin at these levels for a long time. I don't think it will go below 20k, but I'm not very sure as we know the days when the market surprised us. We need to have money to buy in a possible decline. This is how we can plan.

I would also like to point out that. For me it doesn't matter if the bitcoin price is 24k or 19k. I'm waiting for bitcoin to reach its target. This target is much, much higher than these levels.
The thing is that it's going to be institutional investors who are going to buy those cheap bitcoins, maybe we can hear BlackRock or MicroStrategy very happy to see the price going to $20k or below.

But there could be smart investors around us here, buying in the dip and price decline and going to swim with the whales. And even for those who are not going to buy, just continue to HODL, there will be no losses if you don't sell so you might as well remain calm if ever we see the price at $20k again and been retested.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC CHANGED MY LIFE - Crypto investor? on: June 19, 2023, 11:10:38 AM
Just like what others have said, good job and congrats, any amount that your really earn being a investor, how big or small it is, is already a win, or shall I say it's a success story for us

However, it's not an easy path for you, and just like the rest of us, it's mentally tough to invest and then HODL and wait for the right time to sell. But if we have mastered it, for sure in the next bull run, your current investments will grow so I will suggest that you continue what you are doing and best of luck to your journey.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 19, 2023, 10:07:16 AM
Checking the internet and this thread it looks like we will really have this fight although it's still a month before the fight let's pray that no injury or last-minute change of mind will happen, if the fight will not push through this July it will not push through anymore.
I think the burden will be on Spence Jr here, he has history of pulling out from fights because of unforseen injuries, like in the supposedly Manny Pacquiao fight. So he better take care of himself and hopefully he is physically fit and pass all the test and medical before the fight.

The hype is very high the expectations are soaring, and nobody will miss this fight so hopefully all systems go, this is a candidate for the match of the year if both fighters come in their best form.
Yes, after the kicker press conference, all systems go now, we've seen both fighters in the stage and answering questions from the press and telling us what to expect in this big fight.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 19, 2023, 02:38:51 AM
The Badou Jack fight is not going to happen,

https://twitter.com/BadouJack/status/1670174720149291012

And so it looks like the Canelo camp is trying to weight drain Badou hehehe. Not really sure what's up with the Canelo camp, but it seems they wanted to have to have a big advantage on this fight by draining Badou and then have rehydration clause inserted.

So the only option in which the rumor that I posted is Jermall Charlo for Canelo.  Grin

Whoa! I literally did not expect something like this. Canelo and his whole camp are trying to be ambitious by setting a fight with Badou Jack because the terms of the fight are really unreasonable. Now it's clear to me that what they are just after now is just the money because they probably know already that Canelo is not the same anymore, and perhaps he will have a hard time keeping up with boxers in the same league as him.
Now that is a very commendable move from Badou Jack for revealing this information to the public.

Lol it looks like Canelo like easy money plus career boost.  It is really a wise move for Badou to not accept the fight since the fight is already on the lower weight limit plus the rehydration clause.  It looks like the camp of Canelo wanted an easy win on this one, it is  disappointing to see the Canelo's camp setting an unfair deal just to make sure their boxer win.  If they are not comfortable and think that Canelo has low chance of winnings, they can just skip that boxer and look for a fighter that they can beat easily.  This kind of action makes the boxing industry looks like a circus.
Yes, and so it also put weight on what Bivol's manager is also saying that's why they didn't accept what the offer by the Canelo's camp. And it looks like they are low balling everyone now and see who is going to bite on their offers.

So it's good that Bivol and Badou stand their grounds and not let Canelo win the psychological battle about the weights and rehydration clause and specially what should be the split between them. And I do agree that maybe they know that Canelo has a couple of fights left so why not just fight for the money as he already cemented his legacy.

Everyone now likes Jokic, he's a real and natural man. Speaking the truth and if there's still hater on this guy, I don't know what type of people they will like.
Yeah, genuine indeed.
While there's truth on what he said that basketball isn't really his main thing because his main thing are his horses. But no doubt that he's really good at basketball and he just took it with his team.

Much love for Jokic and they're still on the prime I guess but let's see if they'll be unbeatable and will be a back to back champ.
That's where he grew up, I also think it's a traditional thing for their family and he doesn't want to let go of it. Treasuring what you grew up with is something very important to some people and basketball is not a job after retirement. When he gets old, he will still need some money and if he can grow that stable of him then I believe he won't have any problem even after retirement. It's a solid business.

Bradley Beal went to the Phoenix Suns.
Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards traded.
Phoenix Suns: Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards: Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and multiple second round picks.

I think it's good for the Phoenix Suns.
Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal these three will be fun to watch.

They are stacking up offensive players. Phoenix Suns seems to be putting all their money in this season and it's a scary roster now. 3 top offensive players with speed. Expect high-scoring games from the Suns when you place your bets.  Grin
This might also push Chris Paul to be better again, he will prove something to them, just like how he did during his period with the OKC Thunder. He put them back on the map when WB and KD went out. Now, he has the Unicorn and Kuzma on his side, I bet they can create chemistry with a new leader on the floor. Oh, and they have a big man Gafford is CP3 wants an alley-oop play.

The Suns might turn into another Brooklyn Nets, with 3 superstars and with no role and bench players on their roster. So I don't see it as a good trade for the Suns though. Why not just trade CP3 for a good point guard or center as Ayton is also going to leave?

Speaking of retirement, Lou Williams not announced that he will be retiring for good after 17 seasons.

Lou Williams announced his retirement from the NBA on Sunday, ending a career after winning the league’s Sixth Man award three times and scoring more points off the bench than anyone in history.

1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 17, 2023, 06:40:47 AM

Also, you expect it to end quickly? Hehehe I shake my head on that comment. Both of these boxers are very tough. Crawford was never knocked down in his whole career and Spence was only knocked down once after so many rounds in the ring. This might end with a decision. Over 10.5 rounds is only 1.40.

Your prediction closely aligns with a possible scenario for the fight because bookies would not offer odds of 1.40 for over 10.5 rounds if they believed the fight would end early. However, boxing is a combat sport, and it can be unpredictable at times, so it's also reasonable to choose or bet on the fight ending early. I'm sure some were attracted to the good betting odds. Moreover, considering that both fighters are KO artists, we can never know for certain what will happen.
I also don't see the fight end quickly unless there is a opening and either one take the risk and took that shot. However, with the boxing IQ of this two boxers, it might difficult to find that loophole, so that chance of a knockout might be slim.

It's true, we have seen some upsets, just like in the Taylor vs Lopez fight, so anything goes in this fight. It might be the underdog Spence who win this fight, or Crawford living up to the expectation of a crowd and betting favorite.
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Should the Fed stop raising interest rates? on: June 16, 2023, 09:09:21 PM
I voted for a stoppage of the rake hike, they've done well already with the manner in which they were aggressive with it last year. This is a very good measure as a result of the threatening inflation. However, this time that inflation is subsiding, it's a good act to stop it or slow it down to the lowest pace.
I'm not really sure if US inflation is subsiding, it might be that the numbers is not really updated as there are a lot of financial issues. So it's a surprised that they paused it right now. But I doubt it, maybe next month there will be another increase. Perhaps they are just observing as to what effect the pause will be for this month.

But then again, as I have said, the economy still look very bleak, so this might not be a effective measures.

And even with this news, it hasn't had that much effect on crypto market.
1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin(decentralization) the end for utopia? on: June 16, 2023, 11:14:48 AM
Is Bitcoin the final form for humanity?
Decentralization has long been dreamed by all different social models, is there another step to be taken?
Can humanity (humans) learn to hang on and manage their finances?
Or is Bitcoin an experiment to show that we're not capable of managing our own belongings and do require central authority?
Again, not really sure why we equate bitcoin with humanity and all of it's problem and what not. As much as we think that it will take over the world, no, not going to happen. We still have the central banks and fiat like the USD which will still be here.

Crypto and bitcoin is just another alternative. And as we can see, governments are trying to curb it out as early as this year. When bitcoin is still in it's infancy (10+ years of existence). Of course we can used it to make profits and maybe live a good life, but that's it though.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 16, 2023, 05:17:33 AM

This is a 50/50 match because both of them could defeat the other. But if I were to base my prediction on what they have achieved over the years in their career and what they can do, I think Crawford is ahead.

Judging from their past fights, I think Crawford no doubt has the slight advantage here for about 60/40 but we all know Spence is also strong when he is facing a real contender. Both should really be going to fight at this time because they already delayed it longer than expected. thankfully they decided to agree on and we will gonna see one of the fights of the century in a couple of days now. The conference I saw on the post made them finalize their fight and it will gonna be one of the fights that we want to watch live because no matter how see it, it will gonna be one of the historical fights in boxing history.
The odds are really interesting, but we can't say that the bookies didn't do their job. I mean it usually came for Vegas odd makers so they have the experienced to do that. But for some of us, this quite be a 50/50 fight as both are undefeated and champions in their own right and I would say that either hasn't been tested in their win and they have been dominating for the last couple of years. And yes, this is going to be the best fight hands down in paper. It's just need to live to it's hype and then we might see another one, a rematch, whoever wins here.

To summarize, Bronny James' eligibility in the NBA Draft will take place in the next year's draft (2024) for the season 2024-25.
I guess this is also the reason why LBJ has a Player Option for the '24-'25 season, so that he can just opt out, on his contract, and follow his son because it has been his dream for a long time. On the other hand, he said in one interview that he is still ok if that thing will not happen. That him, and Bronny will not play in the same team.

Yeah that might be his final goal as he have achieved almost every thing in basketball. However, in a different interview LeBron also said that just because it is his dream to play alongside Bronny doesn't mean it's what Bronny wants  as well. He said he would still respect what Bronny wants with his career, whether or not he wants to play with his dad in this uniform in the NBA. That's perfectly fine, as long as he will be successful with his basketball career, LeBron added.

On the other hand, I guess coach Malone is still sour with LeBron and the Lakers. He keeps trolling the Lakers as if they were the team they beat in the Finals. I'd love to see LeBron's retaliation next season LOL!
Yeah, I don't understand why the Nuggets can't take Lakers from their mouth, even in their celebration they mentioned that the Nuggets are the daddy of the Lakers? WTF is that? I didn't see any animosity from the Lakers, they accepted defeat already. This might be the downfall of the Nuggets and coach Malone though, I mean this could bite them in their ass in the future. So just celebrate and enjoy but don't make fun of other teams because it's over now. You have achieved what you wanted. And again maybe in the next season they might not go back to back.

Yes, that indeed took away the doubts surrounding Lopez because defeating someone like Josh Taylor, that is still in his prime, yes, is truly a feat that not everybody can do and achieve, yet he did it. Anyway, I'm curious though what's the take away because few days before the fight night, Teo's father is already confident that his son will win and that if his son will be defeated, the fight was rigged. I mean, there should be some signs you know.

Any father will support their kid no matter what, some father will even cheat for their kid to win but thats not I think what happens. Teo won thats a fact but they can't discount the fact that Taylor had to lose weight to fight him. Taylor being dehydrated gives Teo the spead advantage to win the fight against an already beaten up fighter while it lasted 12 rounds with 3 US judges. It may look good in the record but is UD, they will have rematch I guess on fairer weight class.
Josh Taylor admitted after the fight that he has problems making the weight cut and he says that he might jump to 147 lbs. But I don't think there will be rematch though, maybe there is no rematch clause afterall and again, Josh might move up.

As for Teo father's comment, he is always very confident of his sons ability, even after they lost to George Kambosos, they think that they still won the fight but was robbed by the judges. That's how confident he is that before the actual fight they will say that they are going to knockout this guy blah blah.

His caustic comment follows recent regulatory actions taken by the SEC against major cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance and Coinbase. The Congressman, who is well-known for his anti-crypto stance, took issue with the idea that cryptocurrencies could benefit the economy or consumers, stating that their primary use was to evade the U.S. government and sanctions.

On the contrary, those Democrats might be creating their own problems by attacking crypto itself.

The memo appears to underscore partisan divisions among those charged with financial regulation. It suggests that crypto will become an even more partisan issue.

The document instructs Democrats in Congress to attack Republicans on multiple fronts. Including, on hammering them on the funding of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and backing Gary Gensler’s classification of “nearly” all crypto assets as securities.

So yeah, in the next election majority might lose their seats in Congress if they continue with their attacks and hard line stance on crypto.

As for the end, I doubt it, even US can't and won't stop it as this is the future. Just wait for the next bull run, and how huge it's going to be.

With the current value of Bitcoin today it can be said that we are still in a bullish trend, but when it drops by 24k$, we will probably be at the bear market level again. Due to the negative news that is happening now in the world of the crypto industry due to Fuds and others, the movement of the Bitcoin market is also affected.
Technically we are still in the bear market, it's that after we hit the bottom price of $15,500, at the start of the year, we have a good recovery in our hand. However, it' was just short lived, as after April, the price become stagnant and sideways and now we have broken the support like of $25k. So this might be a good news for us.

But even though this is happening, it is expected by other traders here in the Bitcoin field industry. That said, if there is a critical situation now it means there's an opportunity for sure. So, in my point of view at this moment it's time for us to buy a seed then sow it and wait for your reap. Since none of us here can't predict what is going to happen in the future market.
You mean opportunity to buy at the this price? yeah, this is another golden time for us to somehow fatten our wallet because the price is below $25k. As for the price prediction, yeah, definitely no one can see the future. All we can do is go long term though and look for the next bull run next year. And with that, if we wanted to make huge profits then this is a buying zone for us.
