1602  Economy / Reputation / Re: Another 1xbit scammer with new service on: May 15, 2022, 04:24:46 PM
They know that they have zero credibility to the forum users but still they are spending money. 1xbit is bigger now, they are spending millions in advertising through out every possible channel. I see them everywhere including TV sponsorships. How the fuck a group of scammers manage to do it with a level zero shame?

I think you're confusing 1xBet (which appears to be legitimate) with 1xBit.  They are not the same entity, and although there's speculation that they're affiliated, I doubt that too.  I suspect that the scammers behind 1xBit chose the name to take advantage of the recognition and fame of 1xBet.

I really cannot believe there is still someone who believes that. From what I have seen, 1XBit is either an unlicensed version of 1XBET or an affiliate of 1XBET. I am not sure whether they are from the same owners or not. But I am sure that 1XBET controls all the important stuff. They may indeed be the whitelabel of 1XBET, but they cannot by any means be different entities.

Please don't take this as an argument, I'm only asking out of honest curiosity; how can you be so certain?  I've never used either site, so I don't know, but are you saying they're using the same software?  I know there've been a lot of scam accusations against 1xBet too, but I figured that was just inherent in their line of work.  After a quick search, I now see that they've been banned by many countries for various abuses, they're even banned in their home country of Russia.  How does a scammer get banned in Russia?  Not greasing the right palms?

In response to BitcoinGirl.Club's comments, however it's worth making the distinction: It's 1xBet that is advertising on TV and at sports venues.  At least they used to.  They were one of the main sponsors of Barcelona FC a couple of years ago.

Wow, that was very impressive outing by West Ham.  LFC fans should be thanking the Irons for keeping the race alive.  Premiere League is never more exciting than when the championship will not be determined until the final week of the season.

The race for forth place is also pretty exciting, but since I'm an Arsenal fan I wish it wasn't.

My vote is that it's a honeypot trap setup by JollyGood.  Grin
Saves him the time of hunting down people who promote scams, they now come to him for tagging.

Lol.  If that's the case, his honeypot is only luring turds that have been painted red already.  Almost all the applicants already have red-tags, and only a few of them for promoting 1xBit previously.

But seriously, at this point does it even matter. If people think that they are not going to be the one getting hit by 1x not paying out then they will gamble there no matter what we say. What they are is not hidden....

That's the sad part; if they're still here, with the same name, pulling the same old stunts it means something is working.  Previous casino scammers would make a run for a few months, then change their name and try again.
1605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Download: How Do I Get Sending Address and Private Key? on: May 14, 2022, 05:26:56 PM
For Electrum, you can download it directly from Electrum official site, https://electrum.org, you can also verify its signature to make sure the site has not been compromised before you downloaded the wallet.

@Charles-Tim asked me if there was a way to verify PGP signatures on Android.  Unfortunately I don't know of a great way to do it.  The topic was recently discussed in the Electrum sub; here's my response but it's worth reading the whole thread.

If you have access to a PC, you can use the guide quoted above to verify the .apk file and sideload it onto your phone.  That's the method I find inspires the most confidence.
1606  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum gpg signature verification on android on: May 14, 2022, 05:11:24 PM
I was asked to respond to another thread about checking the PGP signature on Android, but a lot has been said here so far, so I'll just add my opinion.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a secure way of verifying PGP signatures on an Android.

I checked the OpenPGP site for Android apps, and only found email encryption clients.

A quick glance at the GnuPG downloads page does list an Android package that was developed by the Guardian Project.  If you follow that link you'll be directed to a page indicating the project is no longer supported, and directing you to the OpenKeychain project.

At first glance the OpneKeychain project looks promising; lots of downloads and decent reviews, but the only way I've found to get the software is from google's app store or an alternate app store.  It is open-source, so I can download the source code from from github, and build my own .apk after verifying it as safe (assuming I know how to do that.)  But I have not found a developer provided, gpg signed .apk binary.  Strange.

Then while reading OpneKeychain FAQs something caught my eye; they recommend sharing your secret keys between devices by transferring them via cloud services.  Okay, it's an encrypted backup, but come on, what's wrong with a USB cable?  Maybe it's just me, I do have trust issues.  Including issues trusting app stores for reasons already discussed, and so it should be obvious I'm not alone.  The reason we're all here is to keep ourselves as safe and secure as possible.  More links added to the chain of trust only contribute to additional risk.  So I think I'll stick to side-loading the Electrum .apk after verifying it on a PC with a trusted PGP client.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not always a security Nazi.  I've been known to use the google app store to load electrum, but only after verifying the .apk file found the release directory, following the link from the Electrum's downloads page to the google play store.  There are obvious risks to this method, but everybody needs to assess their own risks accordingly.  I've often said about (hot) mobile wallets that they should never contain more money than your fiat/cash wallet.

I understand that many people don't have PCs these days, and can only access their bitcoin on a phone; to those people I suggest you invest in a hardware wallet that works with your phone.  Consider it a very affordable insurance policy.

If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

Oh how I wish this were true.  Look at all these rabid Derek-Chauvinesque rentacops salivating at the prospect of tagging these four accounts.  Why?  Because they're ALTS of one another!  OHZNOZ!  ALTSZEZ!

Even though they've done nothing abusive and it's not against the rules to have alts, according one rentacop they need to show up to this thread and tell us why they shouldn't be tagged.  Sounds stupid, doesn't it?
1609  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 24 seed word offline bitcoin storage on: May 13, 2022, 12:01:34 AM
But take note that Electrum's seed isn't BIP39 compatible.
It will only work in Electrum and some compatible wallets and tools.

This is the only reason I don't like to create generic seeds in Electrum.  Unless I'm going to use the seed solely for Electrum I prefer to have a Bip39 seed for hardware wallet compatibility.

I've used the Ian Coleman tool on an offline burner OS to generate 24-word Bip39 seed phrases.  To overcome the entropy limitations of a browser-based seed generator I use dev/urandom to generate a 256 character HEX string, and use the advance entropy settings.

Code:
cat /dev/urandom | tr -dc 'A-F0-9'  | fold -w 256 | head -n 1

You must be the one who has been bugging me on Telegram the last couple of days.

So, let me get this straight, you're offering to sell identification documents for people to use to create fake accounts, and you're offering to use documents as collateral for a loan?  How is anyone supposed to trust you for either scenario?

can give docs so you can make gambling accounts and sell them further
in return i would like to get this loan from you 500

1612  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2000 Mules on: May 11, 2022, 02:00:06 PM
Nor should they be, but the validity of our elections shouldn't be decided by biased, corporate media either.  Our ability to question the validity of elections shouldn't be squashed by big-tech or the media.

I trust the court system in this situation much more than media etc. Do you? A valid case - which there wasn't - would have made it all the way to the SC and none of the media/big-tech nonsense would matter.

I too, trust the court system to figure it out, but the court doesn't get to choose whether they review the validity of an election.  It's up to the Attorney General to challenge the results, which never happened.  Why did that not happen?  Was William Barr not aware that the election seemed suspicious?  How would the media have reacted to such a challenge?  How would the country have reacted to such a challenge?  Would such a challenge cause more harm than good?  I don't blame Bill Barr for not challenging the results of the election, because with all the things going on at the time, I'm certain it would have hurt the country even more than the damage that has been done.  And, because this isn't about one man, and it most certainly isn't about one party.

But now here we are.  We know that a crime was perpetrated against the American People.  A treasonous crime.  Remember when that word was being thrown around willynilly by John Brennan, who should know the gravity of such a claim?  Perhaps he was intentionally calling anyone who disagreed with him a "traitor" specifically to minimize the value of such an allegation.  There are indeed traitors among us, they committed crimes, those crimes should be punished.

If those crimes are to be punished, the Attorney General of the United States must bring the charges.  What are the odds that Merrick Garland is actually gong to investigate this matter?

The hardest part about this is that we now have solid evidence that the United States is currently a bananas republic.  All the horrible things the Democrats and media told us about Trump were the things of which they were actually guilty:

The way I see it, all the things Republicans said about Democrats after 2016 (attempting to relitigate the election etc) now they're doing themselves, and then some. They (Republicans) have a fantastic gift for the next election - inflation - but they seem to be determined to piss it away by whining about unproven 2020 conspiracies and Trump's pathetic coup attempt and all that nonsense. Focus on the economy, win the next election by a landslide, how hard can it be? They can't "unlose" 2020, that's not how it works.

You must be confusing me with someone who's going to defend Swamp Rat Republicans, sorry you've got the wrong guy.
1613  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2000 Mules on: May 10, 2022, 10:02:14 PM
Trump wasn't wise enough to circumvent their tactics.

Like most of us, Trump was under the impression the institution of democracy in the US was insurmountable.  Little did he know that the Democrats hated him so much that they were willing to destroy the democratic sanctity of the United States to remove him from office.  They threw the proverbial baby out with the alleged bathwater.  It just goes to show how much value the Democrats attribute to real democracy.  It's nothing more than an obstacle on their path to absolute power.  Trump told us that was case, he often said that the Democrats and Media don't really care to destroy him, they want to destroy our liberty, independence, financial security, and our sovereignty.  He just happened to be in their way.

I haven’t seen this movie yet, but I have a couple friends who have and claim that it is irrefutable proof that Biden did not win the election. I’m not sure what good it is to expose this, but just like when it was proved in court that the Clinton campaign and not Trump were the ones colluding with Russia and the media still claims it was the opposite. This will be no different. You could have a judge rule that Biden lost the election and democrats would still claim it wasn’t true. If you want to be angry and see the evidence that the election was stolen, maybe this movie is for you. I’m guessing most people won’t take the time to watch and will continue believing whatever they want. Shocker huh?

Exposing the crime is the first step to admitting that we have a problem, and the first step towards preventing it from happening again.  I don't plan to watch the movie, because I'm already pissed off and I already knew this was happening.  I knew it as soon as I saw the results of the 2020 election.  Trump got more votes than any other presidential candidate in the history of the United States, and somehow I'm supposed believe that BIDEN got more?  What a fucking joke!

Luckily elections aren't decided by movies.

Nor should they be, but the validity of our elections shouldn't be decided by biased, corporate media either.  Our ability to question the validity of elections shouldn't be squashed by big-tech or the media.

The hardest part about this is that we now have solid evidence that the United States is currently a bananas republic.  All the horrible things the Democrats and media told us about Trump were the things of which they were actually guilty:

Illegitimate president?  Remember that?
Russian Collusion?  Hunter's laptop should clear up who's been colluding with foreign powers.
Stolen election?  They failed to steal it in 2016, but not for lack of trying.
Nazi in the White House?  Lets not forget that the Nazis were socialists who limited gun-ownership and free speech.  Sound familiar?

If a Democrat opens his mouth to deride a conservative, you can rest assured it's to accuse that conservative (notice I didn't say Republican) of the very thing of which he, the Democrat is guilty.

And speaking of Republicans, where the fuck are they?
1614  Other / Politics & Society / 2000 Mules on: May 10, 2022, 04:58:37 PM
A movie by Dinesh D'Souza called 2000 Mules (2022) has just been released, and attempts to expose the concerted effort to thwart the 2020 presidential election.

I know this has been discussed here before, and all the power in the universe came down hard on all those promoting "conspiracy theories" about the validity of the 2020 election.  The real conspiracy was the effort by the media to marginalize anyone who sided with Trump as a conspiracy theorist.  The far-left leaning operatives of Democratic party colluded with the media to squash any attempt at rational discussion.  Any one questioning the validity of the election was written off as a right-wing nut-job conspiracy theorist, and subsequently ignored.  All the "Fact Checking" seemed to diminish the value of real, hard evidence that there was a criminal effort to steer the election away from Trump.

Now this move shows just how real the threat to our elections really is.  Not to fear, however, the misinformation machine is already in full swing with more "Fact Checking," excuse making, and deflection.  Just do a quick google search for "2000 Mules" and enjoy the hair-raising vacillations of leftist operatives.

So now, we have at least two verified methods used by the Media and the DNC to steal the 2020 election: The killing of the Laptop story in October 2020, and the far-reaching evidence of mass-voter fraud.  The Criminal Enterprise known as the Democratic Party needs to be stopped.

I have a feeling we'll soon be hearing about Georgia, Mariposa County, and Dominion Voting Machines again in the near future.  But, don't expect those headlines to trump the January 6th "insurrection" as a "threat to our democracy."

Good catch, but I'm not sure what to do with this information just yet.  The site does appear shady, but I don't see any evidence that they've scammed anyone.  The plagiarism sure doesn't look good, though.  The user has been hear for 4.5 years so far, and nearly half of his posts have been deleted (presumably for spamming the link to the recovery site?)  It's definitely worth keeping an eye on this user, but I don't see enough evidence of wrongdoing to justify tagging him.

1619  Economy / Reputation / Re: REQUEST FOR ATTENTION OF: All 1xbit Signature Campaign Participants on: May 09, 2022, 03:35:01 PM
As of now, all 1xbit scammers signature campaign applicants will not receive a negative tag by default when their application is seen.

Instead, they will be sent a PM requesting they withdraw their application. A link will be added in the PM to this thread so they understand why they face receiving negative feedbacks if they display the signature or avatar.

If new participants display the 1xbit scammers signature or avatar 48 hours after they have been sent a PM requesting them to refrain from participating, then they face receiving negative feedback.

That's a good start.  How about all the past applicants who never wore the signature, but whom you've already tagged?  Do you plan on removing those tags?  That would be the right thing to do, in my opinion.

It's been two years since I made the list below, and as you can see they've been stringing many of these people along for longer than that.
